I have read in some articles that breast milk takes between 500-800 calories to produce. I tried adding calories to my diet and gained 10 pounds in 12 days. That can't be right. So I cut back and am no stuck at 57 pounds over weight, according to this app I am burning far more then I take in and yet I can't loose. At all. What am I doing wrong! If you're super worried they also sell test strips to test your milk to make sure there's no alcohol in it.
You should talk to your doctor about guidelines to follow if you drink while breastfeeding, alcohol can be transmitted through breast milk although I am not sure how long it stays in the system for. Usually one would do what is called 'pump and dump' where you express milk and just dump it so that baby doesn't ingest it but I'm not sure how long you would need to do that for until you can feed again.
My little girl wS born last Sunday and latly since a few days ago Iv noticed the milk I'm feeding her doesn't fill her up my doc apoitment is on Monday idk what to do for now she keeps waking up hungry and I'm not trying to feed her before her time

This week I was at a nail salon for a post birth treat. While filing my nail the nail tech made a small cut in my finger which bled slightly.
She later put nail polish and primer onto my nails and I felt the acetone primer thing sting the little cut.
My questions are basically can I get hep c from:
1. Any of the liquids if any of them contained traces is blood from someone previous with a similar cut

My granddaughter is one-month-now weighs 8 pounds - has been diagnosed with Gerd, milk allergy - however, I think it is the case that she has been getting two much formula from day one - she is now on 35 ounces (and being increased) of formula a day - is now on hypoallergenic formula and THREE medications. So I've read on here that a lot of insurance companies cover breast pumps now. So long story short I have Medicaid bc I am considered part time at my job so insurance isn't offered, and I called today to see if one would be covered because a good one is so expensive and they told me it's covered if you're under 21! I'm 25! That is ridiculous! Why in the world would they have an age restriction on getting a breast pump!

since u cannot take medication cuz of breast feeding, maybe you could freeze some milk and have the surgery since that is all that will help or just plain medication, or you may have to wait till your done feeding, and have surgery or take mild pain meds, because i had it and it is painful after surgery too. so you will need to be on medicaion.
But the amout tranfered via breast milk is very small. I had my kids tested just to ease my nerves and there thyroid functions remained normal through out breast feeding (BF each one, 1 and 1/2 years).
The pediatrition said they usually dont monitor kids BF with mother using PTU cause the amount is so small.
Pregnancy and postpartum AND breastfeeding can alter your thyroid levels. unless you are experiencing major health issues I would not jump into TT.
No its not milk yet its the beginning stages of milk lol not sure what's the correct term for it honestly when I first saw it I was freaking out I didn't know I was pregnant and it was my first child but you will get a little of leaking of that stuff if u don't want in on ur bra you can buy breast pads congratulations
