Common Questions and Answers about Anxious heart tab

anxiety

Avatar m tn I went from being normal and taking no meds to having a horrible day long rush to the emergency room cuz I think I am having a heart attack panic attack! The doctor put me on Effexor XR, Adavan (3 a day), and tofranil (before bed). Okay, so the first night i took only the adavan and thought this would help because it is what they gave me in the hospital and it worked REALLY well. However, when I took it at home, my experience was way different.
1462830 tn?1286663971 Remember that the insomnia will pass eventually and not getting so upset about it will go a long way in your recovery. If you are anxious about it all the time it is not helping you with your goal. So try to relax and remember things will get better. I wish luck with your recovery and I know you can do this. Just take a lot of inner strength to overcome. Be one of the winners and your future will be much brighter. Good Bless.............
Avatar f tn Mainly at night, but also sometimes during the day my heart pounds and races. I feel my pulse throughout my entire body. I'm a 28 year old otherwise healthy female. I've cut out caffeine and drinking, I exercise regularly and eat a well balanced diet. I don't feel other anxiety symptoms, but have in the past. I've had an echo, ekg, holter 24hr and all results have been normal. I do have a heart murmur and PVC's and I am waiting to see the cardiologist in early Jan.
661200 tn?1225486613 I have a 15 yr old female Pekeapoo who was diagnosed with congestive heart failure 8 yrs ago. She has been on Digoxin (sp?) 3 X a day, Furosemid 3X and Enalapril 1 X. Took her in for a health screen last nite. Bloodwork/Urine finds bad. BUN - 140 Creatinine 3.1 Phosphorus 8.8 Calcium 13.3 Doc says she is going into kidney failure because of the Furosemid and want me to cut back to 2x daily.
586636 tn?1223131279 What MG of Clonazepam or Klonopin are you taking? I take 1/2 tab of 1MG twice a day and more if I am extremely anxious. I take 1 1/2 tabs at nighttime if I can't sleep. All of the symptoms you say you have could be the anxiety. And Jerry_NJ is right...it takes about a month on a depression med to see any change, but on the Clonazepam it worked on me right away. If I take too much though I am really drugged. I try to stay with 1/2 tab. They may need to up yours.
Avatar n tn A week before my period or when I have my period or a week after after I get some random heart palpitations , slight loose of mind and tend to vomit plus I get anxious and scared which makes things worse.

Avatar n tn I'm a sixtish male with a history of mitral prolapse/systolic functional murmur, PVCs and PACs. I take very low dose Atenolol. I was told that I have mild acid reflux, but decided to restrict diet rather than take a prescription for that. I often get what I call "lurches" that seem to be centered in the area of my diaphraghm. These lurches (spasms?) seem to correspond to the old phrase "my heart leaped into my throat.
Avatar n tn Over a week ago for absolutely no identifiable reason my heart started skipping way more beats than usual. I can go hours with none and then have several hours where I'll have 2 or 3 a minute. It's setting me over the edge. I don't know if it's dangerous or not. I went to the ER the other day and they basically didn't care at all and just had me take Ativan and sent me home.
Avatar n tn , I am better - don't feel spacy/anxious. Then I take 2nd dose, and I'm spacey/tired again. When I do wake up at night, my heart is beating fast and hard. Is all of this because K isn't at steady state yet? Or is my body telling me .5mg a.m. dose is too strong? Not enough? While on .5 Xanax I took 4 doses/day. My Klonopin dose is only 2x per day. Does this matter, going from 4x/day on Xanax to 2x/day on Klonopin? My psych said to figure out dose myself. I'm afraid to make changes.
Avatar f tn I have one more question for you  I have a cold/sore throat for a week now. Took 1 tab of a decongestant similar to Sudafed last evening as I was having chest pain and palpitations all day. After a few hrs while I had been sitting for sometime, felt nausea/thud in the chest and knew I was going to pass out again. Got up to take my heart rate and it was all over the place. I saw 196, 154 and then it settled at 136. After that 136, 126 and 119. Then I slumped to the floor.
547002 tn?1219800976 After two weeks, I decided to go back on the atenolol because I didn't like how my heart rate felt. Funny thing is that 21 years ago I started taking it because of my heart rate. Looks like nothing really changed. Good luck.
548289 tn?1215940414 I've been to the heart doctor and he told me that my heart is fine, yet I panic. I would be fine for a few days then it hits my like a strike of lightening... I don't want meds. why can't they come out with a safe medication? Is there any yet...? I don't like this trial and error thing... If this one makes you feel weird or make you feel worst or even have a horrid anxiety attack... My gosh it's frustrating! Every time my heart beats fast I think I am going to die of heart failure or something.
1328913 tn?1279182846 how could this be conected?? i also have heart pulps alot and sharp pains in the 'heart area'(not heart burn) and my cardiologist has put me on metoprolol 12.5mg(a quarter of the tab) twice a day but i makes me feel really tired and funny, i dont like it even tho my heart hasnt raced or had stabbing pains in days, but it pumps scary slow now and i still get the thump feeling followed by the need to belch, is this normal??
Avatar n tn The heat went away within a minute, but the other symptoms (racing heart, anxious feeling, etc.) lasted several hours. The next morning I was feeling extreme anxiety again, though not the heat sensation. My GP saw me that same day and said I should switch from Zoloft to Lexepro. I decreased the zoloft to 25 mg for 2 days, and then went directly onto Lexepro 10 mg on saturday June 2.
378273 tn?1262101221 The Q-T interval is the time required for depolarization and repolarization of the ventricles. The time required is proportional to the heart rate. The faster the heart rate, the faster the repolarization, and therefore the shorter the Q-T interval. With slow heart rates, the Q-T interval is longer. The Q-T interval represents about 40% of the total time between the QRS complexes (the R-R interval). In most cases, the Q-T interval lasts between 0.34 and 0.42 seconds.
6530778 tn?1456887401 I was given alprazolam for anxiety because my headache as the doctor siad, was just brought about my anxiety. I'm still taking may alprazolam now. 709686 tn?1277435759 30 minutes after taking a tab my anxiety seems to ramp up where my heart is beating really hard. This is when I take a small amount of xanax and that seems to help. So far so good. I affraid to get too excited as I have become used to disappointment up to this point.

Avatar m tn Im a 19 year old guy who got dragged to a rave about a month ago in which my friends surprised me with a tab of ecstacy. I had never drank, burned, nor rolled before that day but since then I have rolled twice with the last time being a couple days ago.
326176 tn?1239519289 Best time to try is 5-6 am GMT-6 or 7. You have had a massive heart attack, unless you have had serious heart problems before. The 2 most serious issues you face is ventricular tachycardia (VT), which has almost killed you while in the hospital, re: "Recurrent primary VT reverted with DC Shock" and "During lysis patient had haemodynamically unstable VT-recurrent episode each time reverted with DC shock".
Avatar f tn I am fortunate that my doctor had given me 30 tablets of Xanax ( I HATE the stuff, but found 1/2 of a .25 mg tab when I became anxious, has helped me to get to today, where I will be trying for 2 tabs a day. So, some of the signs I am experiencing...
Avatar f tn I am very scared and wondering if there is something else going on with my heart. Or am I just anxious. I take so much medicine now and I am just curious if I will continue having to take aspirin, ticlid, norvasc, crestor, and zantac for my stomach, for the rest of my life. I also must quit smoking which I am trying really hard in doing, but it has not been easy. If I continue to smoke off and on am I hurting the stent or can it create more heart problems?
Avatar m tn Why is it i don't use any of these substances and still get skipped heart beats and flutters as i type this or when i am sitting down watching t.v.? My heart likes to beat really fast after exercise like for instance walking up a flight of stairs. After this i get these weird sensations in my chest like i was asking to much of it. How can i be normal if i feel this way. Can these get worse as you age?
242951 tn?1385489060 Soon after, I was beginning with the symptoms again only now alot of anxiety, nervousness and racing heart. He cut me back to quarter tab every other day. It helped for about a week. Symptoms again. I started taking it everyday and hyper started once again. Last week, my TSH level was checked and it is down to 4.2, but I still feel horrible. By midday and early evening I'm aching, both my joints, muscles and head. Dr. told me to cut back to every 3 days. What is going on here?
Avatar f tn Dose 2 (28th Nov) felt terrible in the morning. Very anxious, thumping heart, maybe a panic attack. hot flushing, dizzy or a type of vertigo feeling, just awful and made me feel weird. extreme feelings passed and I was ok during middle of day, just tired and a little light headed. Last night, however, just before bed I got the awful flushing feeling, anxiety, dizzy, actually similar to the morning epidsode. 3. Dose 3 have not taken it yet.
Avatar f tn I don't have a question , but a story. I scoured these forums over the past 3 months & told myself I would come back & tell my story in hopes it may help someone else as I was helped. I'll try to be as brief as I can. Looking back I'm pretty sure I experienced svt for the first time in my mid 20's. I just noticed one day that my heart was beating really fast. I didn't have any other symptoms or doing anything that would provoke the rapid rate.
Avatar n tn When I get PAs I feel breathlessness, palpitations, choking, feel like going to toilet urgently, abnormal heart beat, heaviness in head, etc. I feel I will die of a heart attack or faint, lose control, or will have brain dysfuntion. 10 years back when I had my first major PA after all the necessary medical test I was diagnosed with PA disorder. At that time psychiatrist prescribed me 60 mg fluoxetine (Antidepressant) and 6 mg bromazepam (Anti-Anxiety).
Avatar f tn Don't worry. Mine did that exact thing when I wore the heart monitor. That night my heart did everything possible. I thought for sure I was a goner. It raced for about 40 seconds or so. It was caught on the monitor. My doctor didn't even mention it. I had to ask about it. He said, oh that was nothing but a brief svt attack. Your heart is normal so it won't hurt you. He said if it happens to just take another 1/2 of the atenolol. They really don't worry about this do they.
Avatar n tn but for two weeks was on half a tab. switched to full 5mg after that. tummy trouble started about 5 days after i started takin the full 5mg tablet. he then suggested i go back on the half a tab which i started last night. jus want to say though that it the cardiologist that prescribed the meds> i'd been to see him because of the palpitations i'd been experiencing. he did all the necessary tests- heart was fine!
