Avatar f tn but the clonidine would help either way... if you truly think you are having anxiety or panic attacks you may need something else, but beware, a lot of them are addictive. i know there are some anti-depressants that are used for anxiety, and a med called buspar, also non-addictive. but DONT ignore it...
1896954 tn?1323471896 I get anxiety at night when I am asleep, I have a feeling that I am falling because I am so tired. I feel like a weight was droppoed on me and I get up in the middle of the night gasping for air with that tingly feeling in my chest and the anxiousness and my heart racing. Every time it happens I get up put some clothes on and go outside, I am afraid that one day I will start running up and down the street and give myself a heart attack from the panic that I get after the anxiety.
1238554 tn?1339423716 It then takes me a while to calm down enough to fall back asleep, only to wake up again feeling the same panicky, anxious feelings. How do I make this stop? I just want to sleep, but I've gotten to the point where I'm scared to go to sleep because I don't want to wake up in a panic. Does this happen to anyone else?

Avatar f tn I cant stop having night time panic attacks while i am a sleep . I wake up out of a dead sleep thinking i am having a hart attack or cant breath and have been felling dizzy . How can i stop this if any one knows please help me.
Avatar f tn Legs being weak is def a symptom of anxiety. You are stressed about your anxiety and you have panick attacks so (as you know) your body goes to flight or fight mode, so does your blood. It goes to the areas your body needs it the most and that is not your legs. So lots of times your legs can get weak because of that. Anxiety hurts girl believe me I know. I have not had the disorder as long as you but I struggle every hour with it. It has gotten better for me if that gives you hope.
Avatar n tn I seem to have alot of panic attacks at night or while im asleep and will wake up out of a dead sleep thinking im having a hart attack or cant breath. Avatar n tn But, if you continue to hear that your ectopics are benign, you will be best served by working on the anxiety. I found the anxiety can be far more crippling than the arrythmias. Sometimes when I get a run of pvcs, I am able to grab my stethoscope to "listen." My pulse is not fast in the sense that it is racing, but it is irregular. I am actually fascinated how my heart kicks right back into a regular rhythm in 5-20 seconds. The heart is amazing!!
Avatar f tn For the past week I have been suffering with what I can only call sleeping panic attacks. While falling asleep, my body twitches, jerking me awake. This goes on for a 45 minute period until I am awake enough to begin to feel the panic take over. I don't know if this is a result of being without the meds, but it is the scariest feeling I have ever felt.
Avatar n tn Soon after high school it was way different. Bad Bad anxiety attacks! I have been on lots of benzos since- But the panic attacks stopped when I finally quit smoking pot. I am now 30, and have many friends who experienced the same scenario; when entering adulthood. Though, not as many people experienced anxiety quite as bad- as I. No E.R. trips, but same shift from: Fun Buzz to...Tachacardia!
Avatar n tn I must have had over 12 attacks while trying to go to sleep. I'm actually a quadriplegic, so I thought it was something related to my injury, but I have been unable to find anything about it. It actually feels like someone is punching me or like my body is on ice-fire, heart beating very quickly and the feeling like someone has injected me with adrenaline. Sometimes, I wake up gasping sure that someone is moving me. Any help would be much appreciated.
Avatar m tn I take about 1 to 2 MGs a day. What i started to experience is anxiety attacks when i sleep, i would go to sleep every night between 11pm-11:30PM. I have to get up at 6:30 AM every morning for work. Lately i cant sleep good at all, i wake up around 2AM feeling like my heart is pounding fast and i feel like having a medium/low anxiety attack. I keep thinking negatives in life i dont know why. I keep thinking about if suboxone can ruin me mentally and just plain stupid stuff come across.

Avatar n tn Hi, i am a 23 year old man whose had bad anxiety and panic attacks for a while now. I found a method that has pretty much eliminated my panic attacks, every once and a while ill have a panic attack but lately ive been having these what i call mini panic attacks almost right after falling asleep. literally a couple minutes after. its almost the same feeling as a panic attack normally would be with the drop in the stomach and adrenalin rush then the rapid heartbeat.
Avatar m tn then the answer is to learn to stop expecting anxiety attacks. Not easy, but an anxiety therapist might help you, and if it gets so bad you can't function medication might be necessary. But first you need to decouple the anxiety from you other health concerns in your mind.
3060903 tn?1398568723 Hey Y'all, My son suffered terrible anxiety attacks and was put on meds that made him feel very heavy and dull. He tapered off of them, and started taking MAGNESIUM AND COQ10, and has not had any major anxiety since. Hope this helps. Magnesium, a vital mineral nutrient, is perhaps one of the most important natural anxiety remedies because of its effectiveness, record of safe use, availability and value.
Avatar n tn It is better than Xanax because it does not involve medication and has no side effects. I suffer from anxiety, panic attacks and insomnia because of high nighttime cortisol. My daughter-in-law tried an acupressure technique on me to eliminate the anxiety and taught my husband how to do it. It involves holding the toes of each foot in a particular order using particular fingers. It is a simple procedure that takes 15 minutes and anyone can do it after being shown a single time.
933087 tn?1291177860 after I realized that I controlled my panic attacks i was having less. But now, I can't control them and I have them while i am at work, I work as a chiropractors assistant and I don't believe Xanax and work mix well! Anyways, do you have any suggestions or advice, or maybe know of any medications (with VERY little side effects) that could help me?! thank you very much for your time and help.
404077 tn?1201701939 ) You are certainly not alone. (thats a big thing to understand) Joining the military while having anxiety??? I think thats a wonderful thing to do, but worry if it is a good idea. Sounds like the best thing for you to try is a therapist. I know, I hated the idea too, but I refuse to take meds, I am scared to. And I know talking about all of this has helped me a lot. I have the same worry issues at night.
290867 tn?1333572878 If you are only having these when asleep, I would look into sleep apnea. I've never heard of a panic attack occuring while asleep. But I have heard of people with sleep apnea who stop breathing and awaken to gasping for air.
Avatar m tn Recently, i have been experiencing more frequent symptoms that i think are being brought on from stress, from what i can only pin point, to be Anxiety Attacks, or Over-stressed, causing these symptoms. They mostly occur while at work, usually around lunch.
