Avatar m tn However I believe I have contracted some sort of bacteria or virus. Symptoms include. Cold for weeks, sweats, headaches, nausea, anxiousness, itchy skin as if u feel like something is crawling on the inside of ur skin all over. I also have diarreah, swollen throat which causes vomiting and stomach pains occasionally.
Avatar f tn They checked me out put me on bedrest and gave me antibiotics. Well it has been 6days and my hoo-ha still feels itchy and swollen much like a UTI (but I'm not experiencing the burning sensation when I pee). I'm just curious as to if i should be concerned and if i should be what should I do? Thanks in advance!
Avatar f tn If u have an bacteria infection in you cant take pills while pregnant what should you do or what can happen?
Avatar f tn If I did get a bacteria infection from the sexual encounter would the antibiotics get rid of the infection since I had 7 more days to go using the antibiotics..?
Avatar m tn These are both used by the body against viruses. White blood cells also attack bacteria. The Corona virus also attacks certain cell types. There is a lot we don't know and other "stuff" we have learned. Young people can die of this as well. It is not know why.
Avatar f tn Depends on the bacteria, normal vaginal flora will not harm the baby during delivery. If you have a STD or other type on infection those can sometimes be transmitted to baby during birth.
Avatar f tn If it is indeed ulcers, then she has h.pylori, which is a bacteria, not a virus. There is a combination of antibiotics that is effective at treating it. In the States, they sell it in a package called a PrevPac.

Avatar f tn Antibiotics does not treat Herpes because Herpes is not a bacteria it is a virus. Whatever you have is some sort of bacteria. NOT herpes. This is my opinion of course, but this is the direction I would go.
Avatar n tn Neck still swollen, lighter warmth in groin. Not started antibiotics. Urinalysis clean, no bacteria. Physician ordered mono test. Day 10: Most symptoms subsided; mono test negative. Day 13: Light pink splotches on glans. Began antibiotics. Day 16: Repeat of symptoms Day 2-3. Significant neck swelling, difficult to swallow, breathe; some hoarseness. Very active gastro, light, thin stool. No significant burning; no discharge, no blisters, sores, ulcers. Day 17: Gastro subsided.
Avatar m tn I just had an endoscopy becuase i was suffering from severe nausea and dizzyness and they found Helicobacter pylori bacteria in my stomach. A few doctors have said that this could be reponsible for nausea others are saying probably not. what are the symptoms of Helicobacter pylori bacteria? could this be responsible for my nausea? is there any chance it could cause dizzyness?
Avatar m tn The antibiotics will not do anything to protect you. If you are receiving oral sex there is a chance of contracting HSV-1 he or she has it.
Avatar f tn to get thick in sinuses, bronchial tubes or lungs and then that festered into an infection that you need antibiotics to treat. The initial virus is contagious and for how long varies. Usually a week, I'd say. Pneumonia can be contagious until about 48 hours into antibiotics (the viral kind that some will have treated with antibiotics any way). So, does that long winded info above answer your question?
Avatar f tn Well, if the antibiotics didn't or aren't working . . . chances are you really have a virus and not something antibiotics work on. People often do have a hard time telling them apart. I doubt you have a resistant strain of bacteria that three or two antibiotics wouldn't touch. So, give it some time to see if the virus finally goes. OR, you could have a virus, then got bronchitis, then got another virus, etc. I swear this happened to me when my kids were in the elementary years.
17450684 tn?1456814882 It may be that the antibiotics you have been prescribed are not killing off the bacteria that is causing the problem. Do be aware that antibiotics will not kill of viruses. If your throat and sinus infections are caused by a virus, the antibiotics will not help. Antibiotics will only be useful if the infection is caused by bacteria. As your throat is persistently unwell, it may well be that you have a problem with the tonsils.
1628550 tn?1299682560 m taking my course of antibiotics even though i jus found out that the same antibiotics kills your good bacteria as long as ur bad ones. recently my boyfriend got a cold sore (HPV1) Is it possible for him to catch that cold sore from the infection that i am having through the bacteria that is on me, through oral sex?
Avatar n tn Could be H-pylori a bacteria that causes ulcers. Antibiotics usually take care of it. After taking all your antibiotics, do yourself a favor and take probiotics (friendly bacteria).

Avatar n tn Hi there Sorry about the thread of the posts. I just thought I would keep you informed of the situation. Yes, the Doc did say there was slight inflamation of the prostate, about 2 weeks ago now. The pain is still in my penis however, and it's now a burning sensation right through the first sort of '2 inches in', like a hot nail being inserted. This actually gets worse about an hour after taking the Cipro tabs (2-a-day), but then settles down again?
Avatar m tn i'm no doctor but i believe antibiotics would only have an effect on the bacteria in your system. Not virus. their completely diffrent animals.
3148906 tn?1343695795 I will agree with Smiley that when on antibiotics u will want to restore the natural balance that antibiotics change by killing off all bacteria the good with the bad and we need the good bacteria to help break down foods.... Yogurt and a good probiotic is a good practice while on antibiotics. This should help and reduce the need for an antacid while on the meds.
