They checked me out put me on bedrest and gave me antibiotics. Well it has been 6days and my hoo-ha still feels itchy and swollen much like a UTI (but I'm not experiencing the burning sensation when I pee). just called and said its Diverticulia(sp) and also said Bacteria in my stomach and thats what is causing the bloating and stay on Prevacid for a month.Can you tell me how you felt symptoms and how long will it take for my stomach to go down to normal.He also said to eat alot of fiber,veggies and fruit.Then if it does help to take Benefiber does this really work?

Recently I went to see my OB about a vaginal odor that was over bearing and bother some. She done a pap and pelvic exam and said it was vaginal bacteria (bad), I had been treated for this a few years ago and done all the treatment and it was gone. She gave me an antibiotic this time and all that treatment is gone but I noticed today that the odor is back and I cant figure out why. I am not sexually active so it cant be from having sex.

I just had an endoscopy becuase i was suffering from severe nausea and dizzyness and they found Helicobacter pylori bacteria in my stomach. A few doctors have said that this could be reponsible for nausea others are saying probably not.

Melissa, make sure you are taking probiotics 2 hrs AFTER taking ABX and in evening before bed time. This gives the good bacteria time to reflourish. Also make sure you are taking immune system boosters as well. I have a list that was put together by one of the best LLMD's, Dr Jemsek. Hoping you get better!

Me too!! I just found out that I tested positive for bacteria too. I'm 38 yr old and 37w. I don't have an infection, but I carry the bacteria. My doc said I'll be put on antibiotics via iv when I go into labor. I've read the risks (bacteria exposure) for the baby, and I'm really sad.

If it is caused by Malasezzia Pityrosporum yeast then antibiotics will be of no use and may even make it worse. Bacteria and yeasts compete for space on your skin so if you are killing the bacteria with antibiotics then the yeast is able to grow with even more ease. If it is Malasezzia, this is treatable but the approach would be a little bit different.
