t seem like I can gain weight like I used too. They checked me out put me on bedrest and gave me antibiotics. Well it has been 6days and my hoo-ha still feels itchy and swollen much like a UTI (but I'm not experiencing the burning sensation when I pee). Recently I went to see my OB about a vaginal odor that was over bearing and bother some. She done a pap and pelvic exam and said it was vaginal bacteria (bad), I had been treated for this a few years ago and done all the treatment and it was gone. She gave me an antibiotic this time and all that treatment is gone but I noticed today that the odor is back and I cant figure out why. I am not sexually active so it cant be from having sex.

Still finding it difficult to open my mouth and my gums also seem to be aching off and on. Could this be an infection? Spoke to GP via phone and he precribed antibiotics with penicillin which I started taking today and wondering how long it will take for some ease to take effect? If one was infected with syphilis and had an orthepedic surgery two months later, would the antibiotics given through iv before surgery and the antibiotics taken after surgery in pill form kill the bacteria? Or would it not cure the bacteria and end up concealing the secondary rash?

d recommend you boost your friendly bacteria by eating yogurt, etc. as the antibiotics will zap your good and bad bacteria and possibly leave you more vulnerable to bacterial infections later on. Also, some antibiotics make you more photosensitive and so do the tx meds, so be extra careful in the sun. My hubby once extracted his own tooth with a pliers! Best of luck.

Melissa, make sure you are taking probiotics 2 hrs AFTER taking ABX and in evening before bed time. This gives the good bacteria time to reflourish.
