stress-test

Avatar f tn t know what it was and by the time I went to see the dr it was already gone. When they ran all the tests (EKG, Echo, Stress Test and 24 hr Holter monitor) I passed them all. After passing all the test it gave me a peace of mind and I kinda forgot about it. I started training for a half marathon in Feb 2014. In mid March I experienced another episode but didn't go see the dr. I ran the half Marathon on April 6th. On April 16th I experience another episode but this time it did not go away.
Avatar m tn Sent me to a cardiologist, heart looked fine other than a mild leaky valve. Stress test went good I did it for 9 and a Half mins. Doctor Said I was healthy. I was put on Losartan 100/mg -Hctz 25mg shortly after my Bp was over 140/80 a couple visits to the doc. It now runs 135/75 when I check it usually sometimes 127, or 142 just depends I guess. I exercise, I eat pretty healthy, I'm young and I'm really wondering how to deal with this?
Avatar f tn Basically, 80-85% of all sexually active adults (even those that have safe sex) are infected or will be. Its a fact of life for sexually active adults. If you are young enough to get the vaccine, get it!
Avatar n tn I went over 17 minutes and no irregular beats or odd occurrences happened during the test. However, though my stress test was clean, an ECG test performed at the ER the night before the visit with the cardiologist verified that I am, in fact, having irregular heartbeats. All that said, throughout this week, I've had an increasing amount of difficulty with trying to breathe. My breathing feels heavy, especially after a meal and/or while sitting.
280234 tn?1532986249 I was wondering if any other young adults have been diagnosed with colon polyps? I'm a 34/f who was recently diagnosed with a 1.1 cm "Tubulovillous adenoma" during a colonoscopy (was seeing blood/mucous in stool for about 6 months). The lab report came back that it was benign, and my GI doctor said follow up with him in 3 years. From what my GI doctor told me, and what I've read about these, they are considered precancerous. Following up in 3 years makes me nervous.
Avatar m tn I developed herpes zoster which I know is the re-activation of childhood VZV, but also know that this happens in young adults (i m 34 years old) with reduced immune function. I think that at the same time I developed a small gum ulcer. I am not sure whether I scratched my gums while brushing, or it just occurred spontaneously, but let's assume the worst case of spontaneous development.
Avatar m tn Less than 24 hours I attended a gentleman club in NYC for a friends bachelor party. While I was on the floor i received a lap dance from a young African American woman. During the dance this girls lips met mine for a brief moment, basically a kiss. and she continued to kiss my face briefly. I was very intoxicated and cannot remember exactly her having any sort of lesions or sores.
Avatar f tn Is it normal finding white appearenc of the retina in young adults?
Avatar f tn I love children but having been a young mom at 45 my kids are young adults and dealling with kids as young as 9 can be difficult.I find that they act different sometimes, one of the twins has resorted to babytalk. Not always but alot. The other girl (twin) seems to be lashing out alot with everybody. She cries alot, bosses her freinds around and her sisters, and complains alot. From what I have heard she does alot of that at home.
Avatar n tn While there are a few surgical procedures/ phalloplasty, that may help increase the size of the penis these are often not required and neither advised in the absence of a functional abnormality. Erectile dysfunction can develop in young adults due to a variety of causes.
Avatar f tn No. NST's are normal at this point. They just want to make sure they baby isn't having any issues. With my first I went 5 days passed due and had NSTs weekly from 38 weeks on. With #2 same thing only they didn't like what they saw the day before the due date and induced labor due to erratic fetal heart beat. She was and is totally fine and healthy though.
Avatar f tn It started when I began taking college classes when I was 16 years old. I assumed that that was stress-related. After a few years, I am still experiencing hair loss, although I am no longer stressed. I wash my hair twice a week. I lose about 50-70 strands in the shower, and on days where I do not wash my hair, I probably lose about 10-20 strands. I then thought it might have been a nutrient deficiency.
Avatar m tn m not a needle guy and I actually passed out and hit my head on the wall when they were putting the IV in - prior to the stress test. I freaked the nurses out. I insisted on getting the stress test done after that and the cardiologist agreed that it would be a good "worst case" scenario. So I still got up and ran on the treadmill for them. I want to say that I ran for 15 minutes. But they're monitoring you BP/HR etc so don't worry. They're not going to kill you!
Avatar f tn That's very young to be having headaches. Most often adults get headaches related to stress. Most children just live in the moment (wish I could recapture that simplicity again). Does she have allergies that might be causing sinus headaches? Those are quite painful. She could have a sinus infection too. Her pediatrician might be able to help. See if you can get your daughter to explain what she's feeling so you can pass that information on to the doctor.
Avatar m tn They get run fever, sleep alot, cry, get antibiotics and get over it. Others get it when they are in their teens or young adults (that's why it's called the kissing disease). But once exposed, it stays. It goes dormant. My doctor said that the virus survives in the throat and blood. If ever exposed to the virus again, it rears its ugly head. Or maybe circumstances are just so in your life that it comes back (lots of stress, not enough rest).
Avatar n tn As for the stress part try not to worry and stress yourself out its not good for the baby, keep your head up and if you need to talk let us know we are always around to listen
Avatar f tn Uhm well im too young and idk how to tell my mom... any ideas of how you told your mom? Or got away with it?
Avatar n tn Thanks for the reply. I had chicken pox when i was 5. The doctor who prescribed me acyclovir diagnosed it as shingles right way though he didn't do any swab test. I was under a lot of stress (stress from work, family) last few months. So, is it possible to get shingles from that? Is there any other case of shingles you know at this age?
Avatar f tn Hi adults cant get hsv from what you describe only young children whose immune systems are not really strong. nothing to be concerned about.
