stress-test

Avatar f tn t know what it was and by the time I went to see the dr it was already gone. When they ran all the tests (EKG, Echo, Stress Test and 24 hr Holter monitor) I passed them all. After passing all the test it gave me a peace of mind and I kinda forgot about it. I started training for a half marathon in Feb 2014. In mid March I experienced another episode but didn't go see the dr. I ran the half Marathon on April 6th. On April 16th I experience another episode but this time it did not go away.
Avatar n tn I went over 17 minutes and no irregular beats or odd occurrences happened during the test. However, though my stress test was clean, an ECG test performed at the ER the night before the visit with the cardiologist verified that I am, in fact, having irregular heartbeats. All that said, throughout this week, I've had an increasing amount of difficulty with trying to breathe. My breathing feels heavy, especially after a meal and/or while sitting.
Avatar m tn Sent me to a cardiologist, heart looked fine other than a mild leaky valve. Stress test went good I did it for 9 and a Half mins. Doctor Said I was healthy. I was put on Losartan 100/mg -Hctz 25mg shortly after my Bp was over 140/80 a couple visits to the doc. It now runs 135/75 when I check it usually sometimes 127, or 142 just depends I guess. I exercise, I eat pretty healthy, I'm young and I'm really wondering how to deal with this?
Avatar f tn Basically, 80-85% of all sexually active adults (even those that have safe sex) are infected or will be. Its a fact of life for sexually active adults. If you are young enough to get the vaccine, get it!
280234 tn?1532986249 I was wondering if any other young adults have been diagnosed with colon polyps? I'm a 34/f who was recently diagnosed with a 1.1 cm "Tubulovillous adenoma" during a colonoscopy (was seeing blood/mucous in stool for about 6 months). The lab report came back that it was benign, and my GI doctor said follow up with him in 3 years. From what my GI doctor told me, and what I've read about these, they are considered precancerous. Following up in 3 years makes me nervous.
Avatar m tn The EBV test was probably an EBV panel, which would have included the IgM result. If your IgM was positive, then that means you have a current infection. You will have to call your physician to find out whether or not your IgM result was positive. In the meantime... lots of fluids, sleep and rest.
Avatar m tn As you know, other than for cold sores, you are not at risk for any STD from kissing. As far as HSV-1 infection and risk is concerned, again your risk is tiny. While about 60% of adults have HSV (most of whom are unaware that they have the infection), in the absence of observed lesions transmission occurs no more than 1 in every 10,000 exposures and probably less. Thus: 1. Unless you have already been tested there is a better than 50/50 chance that you already have HSV-1.
Avatar m tn My husband just had a blood test for CMV, IGG came back high at 4.31 the test was for CMV (IGG, IGM). Should we be concerned? Should he have follow up tests? His IGM came back <0.90. And I was tested and my numbers were Negative. Does this mean he has herpes or some other STD? Please help. Very perplexed.
Avatar f tn Is it normal finding white appearenc of the retina in young adults?
Avatar f tn Hi there. I don't know what the blood test-results indicate, but I read your "subject" that says "too young for this." I am 32, female, have 2 kiddies and I am pre-op. I am going in for Mitral valve replacement surgery on 26 March 2008. When I heard in 2006 that I had a heart-desease I felt very sorry for myself and wanted to shout: I am to young for this!
Avatar m tn thank you for your reply, I was mainly concerned about Hepatitis B as on some sites they say 3 months for the window period.
Avatar f tn I love children but having been a young mom at 45 my kids are young adults and dealling with kids as young as 9 can be difficult.I find that they act different sometimes, one of the twins has resorted to babytalk. Not always but alot. The other girl (twin) seems to be lashing out alot with everybody. She cries alot, bosses her freinds around and her sisters, and complains alot. From what I have heard she does alot of that at home.
Avatar n tn While there are a few surgical procedures/ phalloplasty, that may help increase the size of the penis these are often not required and neither advised in the absence of a functional abnormality. Erectile dysfunction can develop in young adults due to a variety of causes.
Avatar f tn No. NST's are normal at this point. They just want to make sure they baby isn't having any issues. With my first I went 5 days passed due and had NSTs weekly from 38 weeks on. With #2 same thing only they didn't like what they saw the day before the due date and induced labor due to erratic fetal heart beat. She was and is totally fine and healthy though.
Avatar f tn Adults normally lose between 50-100 strands per day. So what you're experiencing isn't abnormal. Anything more than that would be called "alopecia." Its best to see a doctor specializing in hair disorders, because it can be various things that cause it. Stress may be a factor, but so can a thyroid imbalance, endocrine disorder, and iron deficiency. A blood test would be able to pinpoint the reason.
Avatar m tn So I went to my new cardiologist today and he was pretty upset that my old one didn't order any tests for my pvc's other then a holter. So he is giving me a echo and a stress test next week, well i'm pretty scared to do the stress test I havn't ran since my pvcs because i'm so scared i'm just gonna fall over. How long do they make you run for? and how fast do they make you run? And is there going to be a dr/nurse there to do CPR if anything bad happens?
572651 tn?1530999357 Lulu when I begin to feel really sorry for myself, I think about children and young adults with MS. Then I realize how blessed I was to raise my family. I got to do so many things before this monster came into my life I just had to say this because to see MS and children on the same line just makes me sad. If I have a hard time understanding the "why" I wonder how they manage at such young ages. Maybe this study will prove helpful. Maybe soon we will have a cure.
Avatar f tn I'm supposed to have my period twice this month. It's been a week late. Two weeks ago, I had sex with my boyfriend. We used protection and all and made sure it wasn't broken. What is scaring me is that the ejaculation was on the side of the condom. We don't think any got out, but i've been freaking out. I've had LOTS of bloating. I don't get full when I eat all of a sudden and I randomly get really dizzy and loose sight. I've been extremely tired.
Avatar n tn She discusses early diagnosis in young children as well as the diagnosing of older children, young adults, and adults. Dr. Shaywitz explains why some bright adults can read only very slowly, and what they can do about it. Her book makes clear how the latest research, including new brain imaging studies, is uncovering the mechanisms underlying dyslexia and has led to effective treatments for each age group. Dr.
Avatar m tn Yes, she's too young -- these meds aren't approved for people that young, though doctors can prescribe them. Her brain is still developing. These drugs aren't even recommended long-term for adults, so imagine if this becomes, as mentioned above, the med merry go round. I'd stick with therapy and realize that all 13 year olds are nuts in some way that sometimes lasts but usually doesn't.
Avatar f tn Is there a medicine that is bettter for young adults than the other meds. She is continuing with therapy also.
