I went over 17 minutes and no irregular beats or odd occurrences happened during the test. However, though my stress test was clean, an ECG test performed at the ER the night before the visit with the cardiologist verified that I am, in fact, having irregular heartbeats.
All that said, throughout this week, I've had an increasing amount of difficulty with trying to breathe. My breathing feels heavy, especially after a meal and/or while sitting.
Hiya all. I work with adults who have learning difficultiea and sometimes present challenging behaviour. At the weekend a gentlemen who I support threatened me, grabbed me by both wrists and attempted to punch me in the stomach, later that evening I ebded up in A and E with chest pains and shortness of breath and my blood pressure was extremly high. Does anyone know the next step to take with my employer regarding my situation?? I want to go off sick but cant really afford to.
As you know, other than for cold sores, you are not at risk for any STD from kissing. As far as HSV-1 infection and risk is concerned, again your risk is tiny. While about 60% of adults have HSV (most of whom are unaware that they have the infection), in the absence of observed lesions transmission occurs no more than 1 in every 10,000 exposures and probably less. Thus:
1. Unless you have already been tested there is a better than 50/50 chance that you already have HSV-1.
The EBV test was probably an EBV panel, which would have included the IgM result. If your IgM was positive, then that means you have a current infection. You will have to call your physician to find out whether or not your IgM result was positive.
In the meantime... lots of fluids, sleep and rest.
I know that stress isn't good for you at anytime but does anyone know how it effects your pregnancy? My child's father recently inform me that he never wants to see me or talk to me again. Personally I don't care but I'm losing sleep over how mt daughter will beaffected by this. I can't imagine life without my dad. And I'm thinking about the horror stories of females with daddy issues. That has me stressed, how much harm am I doing to my daughter if anyone knows?
t remember the name of the test except it may be something like .... C-26(?) I am going to have the test re-done. I have had a Pap Smear, Mammogram, Cat Scan of my chest and belly, and another Colonoscopy which showed no sign of cancer. My doctor told me if the blood test is hight again then he wants me to have a full body Cat Scan. I am very confused about this whole process. Can anyone shed some light on this for me.

t know what it was and by the time I went to see the dr it was already gone. When they ran all the tests (EKG, Echo, Stress Test and 24 hr Holter monitor) I passed them all. After passing all the test it gave me a peace of mind and I kinda forgot about it. I started training for a half marathon in Feb 2014. In mid March I experienced another episode but didn't go see the dr. I ran the half Marathon on April 6th. On April 16th I experience another episode but this time it did not go away.
I can produce a numbert of different opinions what is the appropriate heart rate and so on with exercising. The best method for someone with a heart issue is to have a stress test. A stress test is oftened done for the purpose of learning the degree of tolerance/risk one can safely do. The rule of thumb stated is not recommended for someone who has heart issues. You will be safe to engage in exercising according to METs.
and one other thing if there was something wrong with my heart would it have shown during the stress test?
thankyou for responding, yes had the test reached my target heart rate , but didnt feel like i had exerted myself enough to give my heart a real test, thankfully nothing showed, but wish i had some answers to the chest pain that goes down my left arm, and cardioligist says its nothing, well its not nothing its very disturbing actually
put me on lipitor as bad cholestrol is 7

My doctor has ordered a non stress test for me if I go over my due date. I think they just want to make sure that the baby is doing well because the placenta starts to age at the end of pregnancy so they monitor the baby's heart rate for a bit to make sure the baby is getting enough nutrients and oxygen, I think it's routine.
I have had two sets of chest xrays done and they show nothing as well. I went in for a stress test and it appeared to be "abnormal". I went in for an angiogram and the doctor assures me that my heart is in excellent shape except for a very small blockage. I continue to have the tightness in my chest and the feeling of being flush. I have a blood pressure of 100 over 60 and a pulse of 72. I have had no other problems in the past. I am at a loss as to where to go next.
Anyone know?
There is a non stress test AND a stress test.... There are different reasons for both. During a non stress test they hook you up to a monitor and just keep an eye on baby's movements and heart rate... During a stress test they hook you up to a monitor but they induce contractions to see how baby reacts.
Why was I told that my stress test would go for three to five hours? My husband's stress test was only for a few minutes back home. Thanks.
