methadose

It could be a flu or something else, so is always better to confirm with his doctor, but it is a withdrawal symptom to sweat and feel nausea.
I'm now on the 4th day of methadone and I hate it. I't still in pain, I feel nauseated, have a headache, and feel very depressed and unmotivated. I told my my doc I wasn't liking the methadone yesterday and he said try a couple more days, but I just feel worse today and the weekend is coming up and he will not be in the office.
Im on my 8th day with no Methadone after about 3 years i was at 4mg and stoped there, my symptoms of withdrawls are : weak, my stomach hurts, im tired, headaches, stomach pain, not eating, nausea, not drinking enough because of stomach, vomiting, difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, restlessness in my legs, lost of weight, is this part of the withdrawls ?
the methadone thing, I've been on 70 mgs of methadone liquid through a treatment maintenence program for well over 12 years straight now, and it still leaves my system within the week, and more accurately it should be fully gone within 5 days. no matter how long U take it.
i have a friend that is detoxing from methadone how long do symptoms last after completely off.she was only on 10 mgs a day we came off 1.25 mgs a week.

I first wanted to thank everyone for there help and support. I've been on Methadone for 1 1/2, started tapering 2 mo. ago. I am having a hard time with being on methadone, I feel like I traded 1 demon for another, and I just want off of it! I am having a really lousy day today, I have absolutely no energy, I am extremely nauseated and everything hurts all over. People tell me that I shouldn't be feeling so crappy on just tapering 2mg/2wk. But I truly feel like hell. I just want off this crap.
Hopefully in a few months you will be methadone free! Think about that and work on having a good plan in place to deal with all the mental issues this addiction brings. Be patient and kind to yourself.
go slow and avoid most of them for me I got hit at 40 and 20....20 lasted like 6 friggin weeks for me but I was coming off a longgg and high dose you get more stuff with that said most people get hit around 20 some around 10 and it will kinda linger infor most below 20 there not full blown withdrawals usually....its usually more of discomforts as you go along the closer to 0 the more you feel again I cannot tell you enough.....Go slow if you dont want problems.......Good luck........
I too made the mistake by going up the latter to Methadone for 12 years at a high does. I tried and tried to taper for years and years. I did finally get down to 30mg I was running short so I added adderral to it for the bigger Buzz. I had to take a Benzo at night to come down..I was going to go out and never wake up..this is when I just did it..I went c/t from all 3. At my age it was not easy. Anxiety & Sleep was the biggest issue.
This continued for several months with the attacks of nausea occurring weekly. When I quit smoking pot the attacks stopped and the nausea only occurred occasionally. I finally tied the attacks to most all street drugs and some prescription and over the counter drugs. So as long as I was very careful of what I took for minor pains and cold symptoms I was ok. Until now. The attacks of nausea have returned, almost daily and the nausea never stops. I don’t know what to do.
I am currently using methadone and have started taking neurotin. The withdrawl symptoms from trying to stop taking the neurotin is almost unbarable. How do I detox from neurotin safely. Methadone is prescribed.
Hello as most of you know I am on methadone and have been for 2 yrs, I have an awful time with my stomach and its sick in morning ( no I am not pregnant). I was talking to a nurse today and she said that I should ask my doctor about Phenergan but when I called clinic and said they told me it was on the do not take list.
As with heroin and all other opiates, methadone tolerance and methadone dependence usually develop with repeated doses. Tolerance to Methadone administered in a pain-control program usually occurs during the first few weeks of use; whereas respiratory depression, sedation, and nausea can be seen immediately.
I am currently on methadone and have been for about a year now, and i am dealing with a lot of anxiety and depression. I have been on celexa for about 7 years and the doctor decided that i have become immune to it, so he is putting me on wellburtin. I haven't tried it yet because i havent heard good things so far and am a little worried. I'm also concerned about side effects from taking the two drugs together even though the doctor said it wouldn't be a problem.
My friend has been on clonipins for 10 yrs and was going to a methadone clinic about 3 yrs ago and both we're legal and her Dr. knew so I'm not 100% sure if it's ok, but I do know she was taking both by presciption...You could also try contacting a pharmacy and they may know or call poison control and ask them they may only tell you if you've already taken it.
I tapered from methadone also. So I understand where ur at. Keep up the good work and keep busy.
I made it exactly 14 off methadone from the completion of the 21 day detox. I had restless leg , nausea, loose stools, I couldn't sleep for anything.. it got to the point where I couldn't take it. So two night ago I took 20 mg of hydrocodone and havnt had a withdrawl symptom since..I know this approch is not advisble for the simple reason of it leading to a full blown relapse but I'm so glad I did what I did. I have no restless leg and I slept 10 hours last night.
GoingTo MakeIt is correct it can be mild or severe, from my own personal experience during my detox from methadone, it was bad during the first two weeks, but I still functioned, as best as I could anyway, I tapered down from 90mgs down to 2mgs then stopped, my symtoms were like many who stop methadone, no energy, depression, bad anxiety, couldnt sleep, sneezing, etc. It has been 2 1/2 months since being off methadone & I am back to my pre-methadone days, & very happy about my success!!!
I don't want to start going 1mg every 2 weeks, I will never get there. Suboxone is out of the question. I am getting the sweats, nausea, and my sleep is not as good as it usually is, I am worried what I am in for. I don't have a "doc", as I was put on methadone for chronic pain that could not be handled by other drugs, this really worked well for me but my pain is now minimal, after 3 surgeries.
With your age and BP issue , you should withdrawal very slow and careful but most importantly with your doctors assistance. Methadone withdrawal can be lengthy and stressful to your heart rate and BP, please do not attempt to do it without the proper medical care. Even when we treat patients in our hospital BP is one of our main concerns. Don’t rush and be safe. Have a happy and healthy new year.
Not only am i not on methadone now, i refused to take diabetes , blood pressure and cholesterol medication, and dealt with it by using proper diet and nutrition. I've reversed my "disease". So, now i'm not on methadone, and I'm not on diabetes, blood pressure or cholesterol meds. Had i listened to my doctors for an "easier softer way" i would be tied to their prescription pads instead of living my life free and sober and happy and clean, with no side effects.
I am worried that if i take laxatives it will take the methadone out of my system and cause me to go into withdrawal. could this happen? and if i were to take methadone if it weren't to cause the methadone to come out of my system how long should i wait to take the laxative after i take the methadone?
Im also on a taper to get off methadone, and I must say that I have spoke to numerous people who have detoxed off methadone and I can tell ya that most say that the slower you go the better chance for success, if you come off it to fast you will suffer, but if you listen to your body and take it slow you can acheive your goal, but you are at day 4 so Im thinking that you are past the worst, also everyone is different, while one person can detox off methadone with ease their are others who clai
Okay, So to sum this up quickly I was on oxycontin (up to 200-400mg a day) for 3 years, and I went on methadone. My Babys dad was also doin this with me...anyways he got clean and wanted me off the methadone, so I stopped it Cold turky, but was too ***** to go thru that ****, and started using pills again ( I even got him back into and he was like 6 weeks clean....*sigh*) anyways, I DONT WANT TO go thru the hell I KNOW im facing.
congrats on ur decision to get clean Methadone and suboxone are narcotics..so mostly it is the same rules for detox and oxy or hydro...only thing is due to the long half life of these 2 drugs, wds begin days after stopping and last longer than hydro or oxy Reading thru the health pages will help u..there is a personal account of a person withdrawing from methadone there as well...do u go to meetings? support is so important to have right now..
I went down to 19mgs today, i think its to early to feel the decrease but maybe so my wd are bad today, im staying active the nausea is kicking, and short of breath feeling, and likde someone sitting on your chest and stomach, im trying not to think about it. i have to make it im not gonna go up on my meth, i have to continue my 5mgs a week till im done what can i do i only have april to get this done.
I didn't read all of the posts but I did see you mention that methadone is and opiate. And yea it is an opiate, discovered in the search for an opiate that was different in chemical structure to morphine. That's why it became good for dependency and addicts. It had a dual action: while it binds to your opiate receptors, it also blocks the action of other opiates eliminating withdrawal and hindering you from getting a high from taking any other opiates.
The clinic system is punitive and broken and too many people are on methadone that shouldn't be and now may have to take it for life .
