It could be a side effect of the methadone or even an allergic type reaction to it. I remember when I took Macrobid (antibiotic) for a urinary infection, I had a high fever (102.3) every time I would take it, so I called my doctor's office and they told me to stop it immediately because I was having an allergic reaction to it. As it turned out, my father had had this same type of reaction to it a couple years before.
I actually just went to a funeral of a guy who did that a few months ago (xanax and methadone). In fact, in just the last 2 - 3 years in my area I have personaly known 3 people who have died from that, but there have been many many more.
I am not sure how long darvocet stays active, but methadone is a LONG acting medicine and it may not matter if you take the doses 12 or even 24 hours apart. Stay safe!
I wish i had never been offered Methadone. I never noticed any side effects up untill about 2yrs ago. I have every known side effect,but the worst one of all at the moment is excessive sweating. My quality of life is zero. I sweat from head to toe most days all day. I sit with ice ,cold can's of juice sitting on my cheek's,my breasts and my wrists. Ive put on 4st in weight,and i know this wont be helping the situation. I don't know what to do anymore.
I have looked all over for this, my doctor says not available in canada, only suboxone, looking at leaflet the side effects are crazy yet subutex, nothing! I have a problem with naloxone, need straight SUBUTEX! I can't find proper details about this, anyone help, BTW
I AM NOT AN ADDICT! I have never abused heroin or injected anything, etc........ If you look at leaflet, a page and a half of "side effects for suboxone where, only i small paragraph for subtex!
are these the side effects of someone on methadone????cause i dont understand how i can be so talkative in the past and have such a strong personilty.. then turn into a zombie with no emotions, is this what happens after taking the pill for a while.. as i said im a 26 beautiful women.( i dont feel that way but i have men talking to me constantly,) get compliments daily.
m having the same problem with sleep and anxiety have u tried the calcium/magnesium/zinc supplement? U can get it at Wal-Mart. Take 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening, in a couple of days it will start working and will help with the rls. Also try to get some exercise in, it will help to get your brain producing endorphans again. Lots of hot baths with epsom salt too........hope this helps! ( I know what u r going through!
When i met him(1990) he had already started to slow down(just weekends). I really need to know what are the most common side effects that everyone goes threw. Please i am scared. The hospital where he is being treated has classes for him & I so that we both can beaware of the whole situation. Is anyone familar with YALE Hospital. One of the best in the country.
Some of those symptoms may be similar to withdrawal side effects of Incivek changing the effect of Methadone, so it may be hard to differentiate. And then there is the psychological component of both triple tx and Methadone to consider as you experience side effects.
I would also encourage you to write down your side effects so your doctor can help you determine what's what.
t been studied like methadone but from my personal experience I know lots of women who have babies on both suboxone and methadone and those babies are all fine. I had a friend tell me just today that she has a friend who is 4 months pregnant and is on suboxone and they found out her baby has down syndrome and she is saying it's from suboxone. Now whether that's true or not....who knows. But I haven't found anything about babies being born with downsyndrome so.... take it from there.

I have known moms to be on higher doses like 70 n above with babies withdrawing at birth and being in hospital for up to 6 weeks some cases. At time I was in there my counselor who worked only with preg women told me she had never seen a baby WD and have to stay in hospital without mom when the mom stayed at 30 mg n below. That is why I made sure I kept mine at 30 n below. And I deff had better luck with it than i expected.

My sister has admitted to being a methodone addict, she is going to councling and NA meetings she is also a severe alcoholic. Anyway talked to her a few times on the phone after we her family said this is it treatment or your on your own, she sounded great positive attitude ect. So I invite her to Christmas and she shows up all wierd and tell my mom her kids and me its the med she on to kick the m-done addictions.
The baby might have a higher than normal respiratory rate, runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, inward pulling of the chest when breathing and periods of cyanosis or bluish skin discoloration
There is also an increase incidence of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or SIDS, in methadone babies in comparison to drug-free babies. It's very important for parents to learn the skills needed when caring for their baby as he/she withdraws from passive methadone addiction.
drwsiness, back pain, neck and shoulders pain,,,i removed it after the first month, in early november. but until now i feel pain in my ovaries, flushing, chest pain, hot and cold at the same time, back pain, i feel fire inside me, some times numbness in my head and hands, as if my body is too heavy,,,i started having panic attacks, and mood swings...am not sure if it is related to merina, or related to hoermonal changes...am suffering so much ever since.
