Hello, I have a hard lump on my left rib about 4 inches above my left breast that I noticed several months ago. It feels as hard as bone and pretty much has the same contour as a rib but feels a lot different from the right side as it protrudes more. It starts pretty much on my sternum then extends to the left about 2 inches, then the area is flat again. It feels like it might be wider than a normal rib too. I an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>canan>'t move it around. I know the description is sort of vague, so thank you!

I'm very concerned have a OB-GYN appt. Nov. 30th and a family Dr. appt. Dec. 6th. Should i wait. I thought it might be just a pulled muscle cause when i first noticed it about 1 month ago it was tender. But the tenderness has gone away.
Sorry, I have 2 lumps - one above my collarbone (pea size that changes in size from pea to larger). Feels hard but very smooth, possible thyroid nodule. Lump attached to my chin bone, about pea size but very hard - feels like bone, never changes in size. Have had both lumps for over year and half.
I noticed a rather large bony lump on my 2nd rib on my right side about 10-11 days ago. 3 days prior to that i had been throwing a football for about an hour, mostly 'hail mary's' (throwing the ball as far & as hard as possible.) The next day i woke up & my right shoulder was very sore. It also happened that i had an oncoming cold, & woke up feeling sick. If i coughed or breathed deep, i was increasingly aware of the soreness in my shoulder.
I recently noticed a lump on the right side of my abdomine. There was no sign of it before and was only found out as of recent. The interesting thing about it is that it appears about an inch above an existing scar. The scar comes from a surgery I had as a child, about 26 years ago, for a fatty tumor that was removed. Is it possible that the newer lump is coming in connection with the original, or should I fear the possibility of a liver issue.

I recently found a palpable lump in between the bottom rib and the once above it on my left side. It is movable and about 1 inch by 1 inch in size. Sometimes it is more obvious than others (when i am lying down and stretched out, the lump is much smaller. When i tighten that area it becomes more obvious. I had an ultrasound on it and the pathologist said it was just a bit of fatty tissue but didnt have the circumcribed margins to be a lipoma. I have been referred to a specialist to make sure.

at times the lump feels like a few little lumps and other times as one larger lump (about the size of half a grape). Does anyone know what this could be? I was also born with rheumatoid arthritis if that helps. I am 29, female and have one child.

about a month ago and a half I experienced sharp pain in the middle of my chest towards the left breast. The breast itself was painful. Saw 2 doctors, found a lump but nothing to be concerned about, pain thought it was inflation in my ribs. Refered to an ultrasound to be safe - nothing. Thought thank goodness. Went back to the doctor when the pain would not go away after 3 weeks. X-ray - nothing. The pain is not as painful, it just comes and goes.
I am an athletic 42-year old female, workout 6x/week running, pilates, biking, and weight training. I have experienced right sided chest wall pain 1" above my right breast for 2 months. I have no shortness of breath, difficultly breathing. Had a mammogram and breast ultrasound, which both came back normal. My doctor prescribed NSaID, which did not help.
I also have no sensitivity in the nipple area. the breast is now lumpy from the treatments so it's hard to tell if a lump is suspicious or not. Let me know what you find out - and I will do the same. Good luck to you.
I have just noticed that my six yr old daughter has a large lump or possibly her rib cage is protruding on her left side, near the bottom of her rib cage. I have what feels like a swollen node on my left side. It's on my ribs just above where my elbow touches my side. It's about 1.5 inches long and half as wide. It's been there for a year or more. It's easy to see and fairly hard. It is not painful. Is this a swollen lymph node? Should I worry about it?
It has increased in size minimally and several other small lumps have developed around the area in the last few weeks-one directly below the original and the others above. I have also noticed 2 small lumps on the opposite side closer to where the breast and armpit meet. I have very small breasts and have not found a single lump in the actual breast tissue and have examined thoroughly.
Within a day or two after i developed a sharp pain in my ribs and a small lump above my left nipple. The nipples hruts when i touch it, almost like it's sore. I thought it would go away but Sometimes the rib pain was unbearable and i was growing concerned about the nipple lump. Went straight to doctor who said that it was not really in the breast TISSUE but on thr rib. She said that iit is probably a node that has attached itself to the rib.My mammo is due in October so she wrote for a diagnistic on that side. she said that i was fine and not to lose any sleep over it. I have lost sleep and having a lot of anxiety and difficulty functioning at work.

However, with that condition, one of the main symptoms is tightness in the chest, and I do not have any chest pain. But, this could also be due to the fact that the lump on my rib is on the lower floating ribs, toward my right flank, and not on the ribs that are connected to the sternum... I am now noticing pressure feeling on the other side, just below the left rib cage. I don't know what this is!
The margins were not clean so another surgery was performed. This was followed up with radiation. I was not able to take Tamoxifen. I never had a lump, only calcification which were in a suspicious pattern. all lymph nodes were clean. It was however, a very aggressive fast growing estrogen fed Ca. a year later mammogram was suspicious and another biopsy was done which was negative. I have been having excruciating pain under my right ribcage when I bend over.

I have a lump under my left breasts, above my rib cage and sometimes I will get some pain hear and there in my left breasts. I get a on n off buring sensation in the area that I have the lump. Left side right under my ribs. If I lean forward I feel the lump behind too more towards my back.I often get soreness there like I worked out my abs extremly. I had er visits. Xrays. Lightly pressing on it makes the pain worse also at the bottom right of my back where the rib cage ends there is a large lump the doctor said was just a bone not sure if that relevant or not.. but this lower right back pain is constant and has been for the past week sometimes pretty severe but i have a high pain tolerance so i wouldnt know if it was to severe.
