On January 1st I felt a tender/painful lymph node under my jaw, on the left side. The following day I discovered more swollen (but not painful) lymph nodes in my neck/jaw region. The lymph node was painful for 2 days. On January 5th I discovered swollen lymph nodes in my armpits. One lymph node, on the left side, was painful. The pain went away in 2 days as well, but they're still swollen like the ones in my neck/jaw.
lymph node swelling is a symptom of all major infections usually. I had the ones in my neck, under my arms, and in my groin swollen badly for the duration of my staph infection. Perfectly fine now (except for the 40 ulcers scars that is.)
It would be a lot more likely to be something else too, since the swelling increases reather than comes suddenly. And certainly no reason for the lumps in the legs!
A big lump in my face has swollen up. It feels like a ridge of muscle or tissue about half an inch under my cheekbone (zygomatic arch) and two inches in from my left ear. Not really painful but just feels weird and have expereinced numb tingly feelings inb the past couple of months. But I only noticed this lump about 2 weeks ago. Doc says it's just fibrous tissue or possibly swollen lymph tissue (my gums have been irritated/slightly infected recently).
About 30 minutes later just below my knee started to throb and swell. I now have a lump about 2 inches below my knee cap and it is swollen and extremely painful. It is warm to touch and slightly red and bruised. It is very painful to bend my knee and it hurts to walk. Could I have torn something or broken something? I’m very worried as I am a very busy wedding photographer. Please help. Thanks.
I'm 22 years old and I've recently noticed a lump that is about 1 cm in diameter under my chin, back towards the neck. It seems to be round. I first noticed it because my neck felt tender and the ear on that same side ached slightly. You can't notice it by looking. To feel the lump you have to push up under the chin near the neck, and then it pops out. I'm able to move the lump to my jawline. It's very, very mobile.
a small bump under the skin at jawline developed overnight to swollen painful glands, warm, itchy, painful, swollen lump, no fever, some tiredness. next day developed small bumps at this site, around 10, glands are less painful but still swollen. no sign of bite, no center as in a boil, just generalized pink blotchy look, but whole left jaw is still swollen and somewhat painful. the skin is not swollen and red like a bite or boil might be. it's more like under the skin.
I have had a lump/swollen lymph node under my armpit for the past 3 weeks. It's painless. I also got symptoms such as fever, night sweats, possible weight loss preceding it. I think it's decreasing in size but I am not to sure. It feels hard according to how I move my arm. I am confused.
I have had some of the same issues, swollen lymph nodes under my Jaw, ear and and near my temple the doctor had put me on antibiotics and they all went down, I had it another time but it was swollen on my forhead and down the side by my temple and ear and jaw once more but it looked like I had a scab just above my hairline where it was red and getting bigger so he perscribed antibiotic cream and it went away. He never told me what it was.
Is this all happening on one side of your body?

The lumps that you are having under the jaw can be due to swollen lymph node but the lump on the chin looks like an infected hair follicle or a boil.
Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.
Right side of vagina is swollen and painful. Also feels like there is a large hard lump under the skin. I leave for Army training for two weeks tomorrow and I don't want to leave like this. What could it be?
the PT says its because there is still fluid, but he wants to send me back to my ortho/surgeon due to the fact that the fluid build up should not be there. My whole knee IS NOT swollen, just that lump where the fluid is. I did have a patella release 20yrs ago on that exact same spot my fluid is building up. Again,the fluid build up is not where the surgery holes were done.
Though, I have decided to make another one, since I have more information. I have a lump under my penis skin that is somehow hard. I had it for about 3 months. I woke up one morning having it. I am a virgin, so it is not related to sexual activities. The problem was associated with a curvature of the penis when it is semi-flaccid. I had a curvature to my penis even before the beginning of this problem but I did not have a semi-flaccid curvature.
My concern is that all these symptoms - stiff neck, burning sensations, hearing loss - could have been caused by swollen glands (hearing loss = ETD = swollen adenoids) which were just not palpable (to deep under the skin) except the one that appeared 1-2 weeks ago.
I am not talking about the ARS lymph nodes. But could chronic HIV related lymph nodes appear 3 months after exposure? Would they cause neck pain that comes and goes? Would the symptoms caused by swollen lymph nodes be fluctuating?
