Avatar n tn The doc told me to add more carbs to my meal, she told me cream crackers for snacks and bread. It helped, but I ate two slices of bread for breakfast and lunch. Now i changed the portion coz white bread is high salted food, no nutricions. Kalsium and fat? Hmm, Milk? Will it be okay if i cut ties with them until I finish diet or at least after i reached 65kg? Egg gave me icky after taste, i cant stand it.

199177 tn?1490498534 Early AM and still awake. Recipes---sound so yummy. Don't have a recipe at present. Too comf. to get up. As a newcomer, I have a request if not out of order. Does anyone have or know of a recipe for Pumpkin Fudge? It is soooo good. Also a recipe for bread pudding. At at truckstop restaurant and they had the best and most moist bread pudding. All recipes I've found say to put slices of bread in bottom of dish etc.

Avatar n tn Get on a healthy diet. That's it. What is healthy for a pregnant person is the same diet as a non pregnant person would eat if they want to have a healthy life. Just during pregnancy no raw food deli n a few other things. Limit fish also. But other than that low fat n minimal junk food. Stick with chicken n salads. Fruits n white rice etc.
Avatar n tn Eating a low carb diet is the best option. Eat lean protien sources like fish, chicken, beef. For essential fats eat salmon, olive oil, almonds. the only carbs should come from fruit and vegetables. Drink only water not juice.
1277082 tn?1344057820 Well, I don't really have any actual recipes but I do have advice for you in which it should probably help you out. For us with PCOS, it makes our bodies harder to digest simple carbs (i.e. pasta, breads, rice). So because of this, this is why we gain weight and this is why it takes so long to come off. My suggestions are as follows: Bread: whole grain, high fiber. Anything high fiber (yes it is more calories) works to your advantage, because it will make your body feel more full...
7406493 tn?1453999212 Omg..it's so funny you said that.. my so cooked dinner about a month ago and it was awful and being a hormonal b**** I let him know it..ooops totally shot myself in the foot with that one. 671251 tn?1236116671 I checked out some library books about childbirth. I got one book about diet called Healthy Eating During Pregnancy. It says that Omega 3 fatty acids are "brain building fats" for the baby's developing brain. It's especially important to eat a lot during the last three months of pregnancy when the brain grows so much. It's also good for the baby's nerves and eyes. Eggs and certain kinds of fish are good sources.
435139 tn?1255460391 I have ton's of crockpot recipes (I have a book of over 1500 recipes) lol Also, a ton of chicken ones, ton's of cooking books with lot's of healthy recipes, you can always ask me I can throw you some good ones. Avatar f tn Also there are a lot of great healthy casserole recipes that require cooked chicken. I will put the chicken in the crockpot with my preferred seasonings before work, and by the time I get home, all I have to do is assemble the casserole and put it in the oven! That chicken also tastes good on a homemade salad if you start to feel too lazy for a casserole :) I hope th is helps!
1202943 tn?1347840652 For recipe ideas, google Gluten Free Club. The lady has already tried and failed at various recipes before posting recipes that work. You can also just google Gluten Free Recipes. There are insane numbers of resources available now. You do need to understand about binders such as xanthan gum and guar gum that need to be used to make gluten free bread and pastry items work. I wasn't able to use the quinoa pasta, though, because I am also very intolerant to corn.
Avatar f tn Heya, Since food is quite problematic for me, and i suspect many other pregnant women too, i thought it would be nice to share some easy snack recipes, that are easy to digest and healthy for ourselves and our babies. I find easy to digest important to avoid nausea, bloating, constipation and other stomach issues us pregnant women might suffer from. I'll put some of my tips and recipes in reply to this post, to avoid time-outs. Hopefully you will share yours too! Enjoy!

172023 tn?1334672284 Lately I've been boring people by putting recipes in my Journal. I get a lot of feedback on it, so people seem to be interested. If we had a Healthy Cooking Forum, I could resume using my journal to record my controversial thoughts and opinions. Anyway, since this is a health oriented site, it would seem fitting to do this. Plus, you'll get a lot of hits with people searching the internet for recipes. Win/Win.
Avatar f tn My husband is about where yours is when it comes to pickiness. I make lots of stuff from scratch don't fry much. Try baking fish or chix without skin. Bake potatoes or slices with just salt and pepper. If he eats hotdish use skinless chix breast with rice little bit of milk/cream and butter doesn't have to be a lot. Google low fat quick recipes there's a lot to try!
Avatar n tn I am currently eating cereal every morning for breakfast as it is quick, convenient and I can easily take it to work. However I need to shed a few more pounds but I need a few healthy breakfast ideas?!
