Common Questions and Answers about Fibromyalgia symptoms dizziness

fibromyalgia

Avatar n tn There are treatments and even possible cures out there (research protocols). Fatigue, dizziness and so many other symptoms are common in fibro patients and in fact, 29% of fibro patients have a positive ANA titer. I hope that you will consider joining us on MedHelp's fibro/CFS board. I'm the Community Leader there.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with raynauds a few years ago, I am 17 and keep having constant tired eyes, slight dizziness, wrist pain (feels like veins are in pain, if I keep them in another position other than being straight for a while they begin to hurt. I also get pain in my ankles but the doctor has set me up for physio as she thinks they are weak. I have sprained them both just running around my block and have been told I run normally.
415098 tn?1214856836 They now know that people with fibromyalgia have pain to the touch in specific spots on their body... this aides in diagnosis. Your doctor can identify if you have problems in enough of these areas to warrant a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, especially since you've already had the CT's, etc. Google the words "Fibromyalgia and tender points" and you should find a few web sites that talk about this in more detail. God Bless!
Avatar f tn Magnesium deficiency symptoms are numerous but from your list of symptoms includes wide spread pain (my my doctor thought I had fibromyalgia), ear ringing, migranes, blurry vision, wheezing, dizziness, fluid retention, fatigue (although fatigue and fluid retention are symptom of insulin resistance/pre diabetes as well) to name a few symptoms. Your kidneys might not be too healthy either. Just to add, my mother currently has severe oedema in her ankles due to untreated hypothyroidism.
Avatar f tn well try to check yourself have someone do this, press on the front arm, straighten your hands and arms and press in front of your arm.where your elbow is take your finger and cross over in front of it then press. if you feel the pressure flaring up that goes straight up to your shoulder blade then its fibromyalgia. i had the same sign you currently describing. my email is ***@**** if you want to know how i am managing without drugs. send me an email. will be more then happy to share with you.
Avatar n tn Lymes disease or Infectious mycoplasmas. Symptoms right up that alley (total symptoms are all over body). Muscle aches? RA symptoms? endometriosis or hysterectomy? "brain fog"? stinging eye pain, ankle/shin pain? research www.immed.org and search Autoimune Illness and Mycoplasmas. also research ILADS to have proper Lyme testing done w/ IGENEX labs for Borrelia Burgdorfer and coinfections of Bartonella, Babesia, Ehrlichia, Rickesettia.
Avatar m tn Doubling just the first couple of times caused swelling in my mouth and around my eyes, so I dropped lyrica altogether. In no time I was hit with xanax type withdrawal symptoms: depersonalization, lack of concentration and dizziness being the most frightening. So, I asked to be switched to neurontin and he wrote out 300 mgs. three times daily for me.
1364792 tn?1278051187 The symptoms first started out with chest pains and now have increased to random pains and numbness all over my body, headaches, sinus/allergy symptoms, dizziness, and vision problems. My doctor thinks that i might have an anxiety problem but i have never been much of an anxious person so i did some research and fibromyalgia seemed to go along with some of my symptoms.. i was just wondering what other people thought.. is it fibromyalgia, anxiety, or something else? I want opinions! Thanks!
Avatar n tn I have had most of your symptoms at one time or another - so I guess it "could" be Fibromyalgia. I do get involuntary contractions in my muscles, but I'm not really sure if that happens w/ FM. Fibromyalgia still remains a mystery to me. While I am glad I have a dx. to go with my symptoms and receive treatment for them, I have the gut feeling that there is something else lurking. I had also been labled w/ possible Lupus and possible Mixed Connective Tissue Disease in the past.
Avatar m tn I am wondering if all of these seemingly unrelated symptoms could all be caused by my Fibromyalgia, or if there is something else going on. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated! My symptoms are: Dizziness Daily headaches Itchiness all over my body at night Restless legs Thinning hair!
Avatar n tn dizziness. Not terrible and not dizziness in the sense of lightheaded either (more like car sick and it is constant, at first for hours and then for days). Fast forward 5 years later. Some symptoms have come/gone but over time the dizziness got worse and I found it was often triggered by what I eat. In 2011 I started an elimination diet and by 2016 I ate nothing outside (no processed foods whatsoever because I am so sensitive). The "dizziness" has only gotten worse.
Avatar f tn You know after two years with strange symptoms and the diagnosis of fibromyalgia, and neuropathy by two different neurologist I was like you frustrated. For the last two years i have been to a kidney dr., two neurologists, endocrinologist (had entire thyroid removed) and my primary and no one could agree on a diagnosis or figure me out.
Avatar n tn Hi ! Your symptoms do sound like they could be due to fibromyalgia. I can tell you that 29% of fibromyalgia patients' have a positive ANA titer and some autoimmunity problems. I am the Community Leader on the fibro / CFS board (link below). I hope that you will consider joining us because I think you will relate to many of the posters. http://www.medhelp.org/forums/show/44 I would also recommend getting tested for lyme disease if your physician hasn't ruled that out so far.
Avatar f tn dizziness, complete loss of appetite, difficulty with coordination, burning, numbness and tingling sensations in my limbs, slurred speech, confusion, difficulty swallowing, eye pain and blurring, sleep apnea, difficulty walking straight and general clumsiness. To be honest, I look like a drunk person when I walk.
Avatar f tn I have been having these strange symptoms and wonder if anyone has insight as to what it could be. I will sometimes start with a feeling of a sick stomach like my stomach is tring to jump out of me then feel a warm hot flush go over my whole body. I have strange smell sensations that will make me gage and dry heave. My face feels hot and flushed, short of breath, dizzy, and when I move my head I get a shocky zapping go up into my head and down my spine.
Avatar f tn Hi and welcome to MedHelp. As far as I can tell, you do have symptoms that look like fibromyalgia. A rhematologist is the kind of dr. that dxes this. They will check for pressure points. There is also a tilt table test that can help decide if it is fibro or chronic fatigue.
Avatar f tn From chest pain and rib pain to dizziness and tremors. At the begining of the year I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. And a few months ago hyperthyroidism. Some symptoms resolved and new ones show up. Now I have this pain in my armpit and it feels like it's swollen. I do not feel any swollen lymph nodes. I get pain into my ribs and a soreness that wraps around to my ribs in my back. I'm so sick of going to the dr.
Avatar n tn double-vision (only when I look down), blurred vision, a bit of dizziness and balance issues. I've also been noticing some memory issues (forgetting peoples names and simple words). I also have light sensativity. I went to an optometrist and he said that my vision was fine and it's probably a sinus issue. The only thing is I dont' have sinus issues...I don't even have a runny nose. And I'm not prone to headaches.
4449049 tn?1354740399 Perhaps a trip to the Rheumatologist might shed some light. Sounds like Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue disorder. Fibromyalgia causes headaches, stomach problems, dizziness, fatigue, heartburn, tired legs, join and muscle aches and pains. It's no fun, believe me. It comes and goes and you never know what symptom will come up. Sorry - I hope a Rheumatologist can help.
710094 tn?1229308706 Hi again. I was diagnosed in 1997 with fibro. I think my worst symptom is the deep pain in my muscles and joints. I have alot of UTI's, vaginitis, yeast infections, headaches and fatigue. I tried to get disability and was denied. Then I got on the fentynal patch for pain and felt I could work cause it helped my pain tremendously. I have also taken Norco for 3 years. I recently went off of my patch due to no insurance. (It's very expensive). I actually feel better.
