I feel we are at an advantage with a BRCA2 positive status and would like to find another way to exploit this. Avatar m tn Hi, janie1951. I have had Fibromyalgia for 25 plus years, and each ache and pain and sleep problem was just chocked up to the Fibro. Recently I read an article about sleep apnea affecting women differently than men, just at the time my husband had his second sleep study done. When we saw the specialist after his test, I asked about my having a study done. I would suggest you do it right along with everything else.

192368 tn?1224204130 Welcome aboard, Suanne ! Recently a member asked our guest physician pretty much the same question and here is the link to that discussion: http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/648144 I agree with Dr. Nicolson's response 100%. I am on a treatment protocol and there are many other chronically ill people on the same protocol, including fibromyalgia patients. We frequently communicate and share our success stories.
Avatar f tn I normalized my cholesterol and BP levels within 8 months with diet and exercise and was able to go off Aceon. (I quit under medical supervision and subsequent 24hr ABPM showed borderline to normal BP, normal dipping at night, etc.) I know I cannot do anything about glaucoma if I do in fact have it. I just want to be 100% sure that any treatment that may be prescribed addresses the problem and won't make it worse, as I have read it is possible when NTG is treated.
Avatar f tn Sandee1818 is correct, there are several approaches to Fibro treatment. I do not have Fibro but here are many here that do and will offer you good suggestions and information. There are 5 million ppl afflicted with Fibro. Alternative treatment for fibromyalgia include exercise (non-aerobic), nutrition, stress, massage, acupuncture, soft tissue manipulation, Pilate's and Yoga and those types of non traditional medicine are considered beneficial for some Fibro ppl.

1135532 tn?1265056071 re really healthy already and your Liver looks fine and you have absolutely no symptoms from Hep-C then there is no rush to treat. My Mom had a biopsy and everything looked fine except she had the Hep-C virus. My parents were both healthy when they found out they had the virus and their doctor did not recommend immediate treatment but left the option open of course.

Avatar f tn Is fibromyalgia and hypercoaguability related? I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia--(3 years ago)--but I also have a previous pulmonary embolism. The doctor who treated my P.E., said that she had to prescribe more warfarin for me than she ever had to for any other patient in her 20 year career. She specializes in treating post-operative emboli. Every week I had my blood drawn to gauge how much my warfarin dosage should be. Every week for months it was increased.

1100837 tn?1267668675 Hello Leila006, It is not uncommon to have overlapping conditions such as RA and Fibromyalgia. I have Osteoarthritis of the spine, nerve damage and Fibromyalgia, which is different than what you are suffering from, but I have known a lot of people who have had both problems together. I am just guessing from what you have written, that the Lyrica has made you very drowsy...right?
