1063463 tn?1302278219 I am a 34 year old female that has had weird symptoms for sometime now. It started in 2003 with a severe bout of vertigo. Then that same year during the winter I started getting hives when i get cold. For a few years I had no new symptoms but I dealt with those 2 the best way I could. In april I was shopping when my legs became heavy and I had an overall strange feeling. I came home and went to bed and basically I have been in bed since then.
Avatar f tn I will get the results of the hair analysis next week. The hair analysis shows minerals and certain vitamins you may be lacking or toxic. Mineral toxicities such as copper, have been linked to fibro. too. The docs are good with treating the symptoms, natural practitioners are good about finding the cause for your symptoms. If you are like many fibro. sufferers, all your blood work and MRIs comes back normal, but your body is telling you something is terribly wrong.
Avatar n tn You were not specific on the symptoms you experience, but my guess is that when you exercise you don't drink water, or you sweat to excess. This will dehydrate you and you will lose salt and other minerals. You can experience shaking of the hands, visual disturbances, headaches, stomach aches, stitches in the sides, exhaustion, low grade temps and other unpleasant symptoms. If this is the case, try drinking a fluid that has minerals in it like Cytomax.
Avatar n tn I cannot give you a clinical diagnosis over the internet,so this advice is purely educational in nature The symptoms could localize to the spinal cord (cervical if you r arms are involved). There are many causes of spinal cord symptoms only one of which is MS. MS is characterized by recurrent and discrete attacks of neurological symptoms, which you do not seem to have.
Avatar n tn These reactions can come on long after you are treated, and cause long-lasting pain and other symptoms. Very often those hurt think they have MS, or ALS, or fibromyalgia, or a host of other maladies. They spend thousands of dollars getting MRI, blood and other tests done. Doctors just give them more drugs and tell them it's all in their heads. The reality is, they have been poisoned by an antibiotic that wasn't thoroughly tested before being released on the public.
459853 tn?1283144114 Of the symptoms listed on the site, I had 4 plus the fatigue, hair loss and Raynaud's. My main ache spots are my shoulders, wrists, hips, knees, ankles, and toes. In the mornings I sound like a bowl of Rice Crispies!
Avatar n tn I was only out of work for 2 weeks and during that time was somewhat out and about. Symptoms of a new illness presented in March, starting with a canker sore, and progressing to flu like symptoms. I noticed greenish/brown mucus and tooth pain and went to doctor for an anti-biotic (I think Bactrim). I took the antibiotic which seemed to clear up what I thought was a sinus infection but I still wasn't feeling better and my glands were very swollen (they still are too a degree).
Avatar n tn I talked to my neuro about this and he said I should go see a rhemotaulogist if my symptoms really bother me. Since then I googled up these symptoms and I think I may have fibromyalgia. I even started to press on my tender points and some of them do hurt when I press on them. My question is, should I go ahead and see the rhuemotologist or do you think these bodywide muscle pains is attributable to anxiety? I am 23/male and have become extremely depressed since this whole health scare started.
529981 tn?1212853666 Even after I wash my hair, the grainy like build up is still there. It is NOT flaky what so ever. My hair has also started to fall out and at the end of my hair, a white little grain is at the end. Hair will not stop falling out. I have gotten blood tests at a dermatology office and everything was normal. I also have tried about very type of zinc pyrithione shampoo, at the highest concentrations. Also I have tried, salycylic shampoos, tar shampoos, jojoba oil, AND nothing seems to help.
Avatar n tn Toxic exposure to heavy metals will often show up in a hair analysis. They can pinpoint almost the date of occurence. Do you know what the chemical was? Did it burn your skin or cause a rash?
Avatar f tn Magnesium deficiencies are very common- Get Tissue mineral analysis- or Hair analysis .Transdermal Magnesium Oil is most efficient supplementation method! Deep conscious breathing will help reduce Lactic acid-associated with swallow breathing, common in conditions exhibiting pain and fatigue symptoms) Look up Pranayama Conscious Breathing. Do a heavy metal Detox. And finally stay Hydrated! Drink plenty of filtered or spring water-NOT from plastic bottles! Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn to have it possibly substituted with natural GABA supplementation- and minerals following a suggested mineral hair analysis and Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (EVCO) to replace all cooking oils. Look it up at the coconut research center website as it is EXTREMELY beneficial in Diabetes. It will take a huge load of your body as it gets converted into energy very fast - more like carbs but without the sugar issues. It is also a great antifungal agent and more. One of the TOP functional foods!
Avatar m tn There are special tests like hair analysis or specific white blood cell tests which will indicate actual tissue levels. The easiest way to approach it, to my opinion, is to do a transdermal magnesium oil trial. I'd say do it everyday for a couple weeks and after that, every other day.
Avatar f tn There's a mechanism that keeps blood mg levels around 1%. Only tissue analysis will return accurate findings. Hair mineral analysis is also good. Transdermal Magnesium Chloride supplementation is one of the greatest methods to supplement. I would do it daily in the beginning. My suggestion is to supplement for a few weeks to see if you experience improvement. let me know if you need more details. Wish you well.
443434 tn?1255894833 I ended up ordering a hair analysis, so desperate for answers. I'm still waking up with hands very swollen and achy all day,and joint pain. My knuckles on my hands are starting to look deformed from the inflammation going on inside me. My fingers are like sausage links. If this doesn't get resolved, it will turn into RA I am sure of it. Any help, tips, thoughts I will appreciate so much.

Avatar f tn He then said by process of elimination he believed that I had Fibromyalgia. This is very new to me and I'm not really sure what to expect and if my symptoms are in line with Fibro. In July I began having joint pain which gradually spread to almost all of my joints (including my jaw) and my muscles have been pretty sensitive. In the morning it seems to be worse and the tips of my fingers and my toes have a burning feeling. I'm also pretty stiff and I think every joint in my body cracks!
2208858 tn?1339191663 I do have a positive ANA and everytime I'm tested for it it does get higher. Here are some of my symptoms; fatigue, muscle fatigue and weakness, tingling in hands feet legs and face, headaches, heat intolerance and balance issues. I do have some joint pain but I think its from past injuries. I don't always get inflammation or redness so no arthritis. I've been tested for Lyme they said no. I've also had an mri of the head which came back normal. So kinda unsure.
Avatar f tn It does not cause inflammation. Interestly, I received the results of my hair analysis and it indicated my body is not properly metabolizing sugar and carbohydrates due to a severe deficiency in potassium. Potassium is necessary to transpost glucose across the cell membrane to perform basic body functions. It also showed deficiencies in other minerals indicating my body is not properly absorbing them.

9777394 tn?1468994722 If you're testing for magnesium, you need to test for tissue magnesium. Hair analysis for minerals is a good way to test. I do transdermal magnesium oil treatments for supplementation, which are extremely effective, if you wish to look it up. Blessings. Niko.
Avatar m tn I am on a personal mission now with the help of naturopathic practitioner to examine why all the strange symptoms occur-sometimes it's metal toxicities causing so many bizarre symptoms that are diagnosed as part of fibromyalgia. I had a hair analysis and will receive the results next week. Sounds a little crazy, but a popular website for fibromyalgia even discusses hair analysis and toxicities. Toxic accumulation of metals in your body will case rashes among many other things fibro.
Avatar m tn After a couple of months thinking this feeling would go naturally she started to get double vision so she went to her doctor who referred her to the local neurologist who curtly dismissed her as suffering from stress.
Avatar n tn Hominis pathogen variety is one commonly found in the genital and urinary tracts of adults that can affect joints and tendons as well. Make sure you do a mineral analysis (mineral hair analysis is more accurate than blood tests usually) for any mineral deficiencies. Also check thoroughly for any other possible nutritional deficiencies, as mentioned in Red_Star's reply.
Avatar m tn The muscle relaxer was prescribed for the fibromyalgia and I was told it is part of the normal control of symptoms. I just take 20mg at night to help me sleep better. 4. I have my primary care doctor who said he has reached his limit to treat me. I've seen a rheumatologist that spent 20 mins with me. Asked my physical history and as soon a s I said one doctor thinks I have fibromyalgia the rheumatologist quickly backed away.
Avatar m tn The “quack medicine” solution for hidden hypothyroidism Unfortunately blood tests for toxic metals are useless, unless they’re done immediately (or very, very soon) after an acute and large toxic metal exposure. Even hair mineral analysis isn’t the best option. The best test for total body burden of toxic metal is the chelation test.
