Avatar m tn Thanks for the quick response! Well, depression is a major symptom. I've been diagnosed with dysthymia or chronic depression. I've tried anti-depressants for a couple of years with minimal positive results. That led me to start looking for a cause of my depression which looked like it might be thyroid related once I started matching symptoms.
Avatar f tn I am looking for a new primary now...I am being given a series of test-field test etc..Don't know specifics of the names of the test...They also stated chronic dry eyes...stuck shunts in the corners of my eye lids and give me drops for fake tears...I stopped asking cause they all act like I am crazy.....But they wanna run lab & test every 3-6 months. I am actually really trusting God thru all this...which is why I ain't really saying much...
Avatar f tn From your list I see symptoms often related to hypothyroidism, not hyperthyroidism, consistent with your low Free T4 and Total T4 test results. As with thyroid, the evaluation for low cortisol must take into account symptoms. Following are symptoms typical of hypocortisolism. A couple of your symptoms could also be related to low cortisol.
Avatar f tn A lot of my friends, including me - are diagnosed with depression - and some were diagnosed even with bi-polar! It was all hormones.
Avatar f tn The electrical findings from your exercise treadmill test (i.e. 0.5 mm ST depression and T inversion during recovery) are non-specific, so they do not necessary mean that you have an artery of the heart occluded. That is the reason why your doctors need to study your heart in more detail with a heart cath (coronary angiogram). The cath result could be completely normal but it was reasonable to start you on bisoprolol and aspirin in the meantime as a preventive intervention. Good luck.
