Bit lip blister

Common Questions and Answers about Bit lip blister

lip

3 days ago, I woke up to an ulcer like big hump in my lip (raising my bottom lip a good quarter inch) and redness. over the next 3 days, it has cracked my lips and caused the top layer of skin to break. The skin break is right where the wet inside of your mouth meets the inside of your lips, right in the middle. I am a hypochondriac and I am freaking out as expected.
I was 7 or 8 when i started biting my bottom lip it eventually caused what i believe to be a small blood blister. It has faded considerbly as i have not bit my lip in over 25 years, however it has not disappeared and every now and then it becomes really noticable. I have noticed a few smaller ones like needle pricks that have just appeared. My question is what are they caused from and how do you treat them?
One day while biting and picking at my lips I noticed that one part that I was biting on the bottom of my lip started to hurt, since I never realize that I pick at my lip and bite it, I noticed that everytime I bit that area it hurt but if I left it alone it didn't hurt well after a few hours before bed time I looked in the mirror and only saw dry lip, but I picked at that area again and it hurt so being a lip picker I ripped the dry skin off and noticed clear fluid came out, it didn't bleed.
I developed a blood blister in the middle of my bottom lip after a severe chapped lip situation in December. It is now mid-Feb, and it is still there. Every 10-14 days, it will pop and bleed, usually receding a little bit, but it's always there. It looks like a blood blister, is not painful even when it bleeds. It has not increased in size since Dec and the color has stayed the same - red. I have always had chronically chapped lips, which peel every couple days.
I have a blister on the outside of my bottom lip. It happened when my boyfriend was tickling me and accidently hit me in the lip kind of causing me to bit it. It became a little swollen and then a blister formed. Its been there for a few days now and I was wondering how I can treat it to help it heal and go away?
I have a red patch on my upper lip that is red, dry, but no blister and does not itch. It burns when I get somethign acidic on it. I noticed that I had a blister under my tongue a few day ago. My upper lip feels a bit tight, like after getting windburn. I did have a scab over the area, like a layer of soft skin. I'm 51 years old, female.
It was only swollen to a small lump on one side, and looked a bit like a blood blister. It got slightly bigger throughout the day, but since then gets bigger and smaller in size, depending on whether I accidently bite it or not! The blood has disappeared and it now just looks like a weird bump on my lip, I can feel its full of fluid. Its not painful but does feel a bit like a bruise. All the doctor gave me was hydrocortisone cream to use for a week which hasn't worked.
I have had this bump on my lip since June of 2008 and it wont go away. My son bit me and left a rather large mark and here it is over a year later and it still bleeds atleast once a day. It gets small and scabs and then gets huge and breaks open and bleeds. My doctor called it mucolytis(sp)? I google that and everything about Chemo an Radiation pop up, I have had neither of these treatments. Any ideas what may get rid of this?
I bit my lip to the other day I woke up today and it bleed alot :/and it has white on it to I'm confused
I just gave oral to my boyfriend and went to check my lips and discovered a small bump on my top lip near the middle its almost like a blister but I'm not sure what it could be. This is the 2nd time this has happened. Last time it was on my top lip as well but on the left side on top this time its under the top part when I lift the top part of my lip up I can see it. It does hurt a bit. Last time it took a few days to really start appearing on my lip and it took a few days to get it to go away.
About 2 weeks ago I bit my lower lip while eating. My incisor is crooked and that is the tooth that made contact with my gums. A small sore came about. Then it turned into what looked like a water blister with a small white tip center. Finally after continuous irritation ( biting it while eating) I popped it. It was simple. Fluid came out and a little blood. It rapidly filled again. Popped it again. Filled again and I popped it again this morning. It doesn't hurt.
I have had a sore throat for most of the day.
I have a small fluid filled blister on the inside of my bottom lip. It has been there for over a month now. I am not sure what it could be. It gets really big and I pop it because I can barely chew my food without biting it. It has a clear, gooey liquid in it and sometimes a little bit of blood. After I pop it, it is small for a day or so then it puffs up again. My mother in law suggested I use allum on it.
They start like a tiny hard pimple and then become a dome like water blister that pops by itself. Lately the area aches a bit, I think that's been from my tongue playing with it as can feel so annoying. When I first googled it it came up as possibly aids, cancer or herpes! Eek! I freaked out and went to my doctor who swabbed it and its all fine, nothing came back bad. I wish I knew how to get rid of it!! I think it's worse when I'm run down? Live very busy life with three littlies.
I have a small red, sometimes raw, blister in the middle of my upper lip, except for some initially burning (when it was at its most irated state) it does not hurt and does not itch. As a was of background, I remember having what appeared to be a very small cut in the middle of my upper lip a few months ago. I was thinking it may have been from shaving and it seemed to scab over then go away, then open again. I would apply chapstick or some other lip protection and that seemed to help.
About 2 months ago I got a red blood blister on my bottom lip, a month went by and I didnt really think too much about it and left it.....after that it was annoying me and I decided that my best option would be to pop the blister to get rid of it. I know now that this was a very bad decision!! The blister formed into a scab which bled a couple more times when I caught the scab....it looked very unsightly and my friend advised the best thing to do is put on some blistex.
In January I had a really bad cold sore blister on my bottom lip..I accidentally bit it and it just would not heal..In early march my primary care doc sent me to a dermatologist and he did a biopsy since it just would not heal..The biopsy came back negative for cancer but was identified as lichen simplex chronicus, the doc said it should heal within a few weeks with vaseline. Well it is now May and my lip is just not right..
To keep it short, my boyfriend came to see me on a Monday and gave me a kiss and a couple hours later I noticed a bump on my lip. I didn't think anything of it til the next morning when I seen it had inflated into a very small oval shape and what felt and looked like pus inside. It was confirmed pus when my finger nails accidently tore it open on the bottom a bit when I was playing with my lip.
I noticed a blister forming on my right inner lip (just a few days out). It pretty-much stayed the same in look for some time...very much like a blister you would get on your foot/hand if you over rubbed it against something. It doesn't hurt unless I rub it (with a kleanex or tissue), and it's progressively getting smaller. There's no real color to it (sort of looks like my lip has been bitten), but there's small white dots next to it...not sure if they were there before.
I'm 45, my top lip gets dry for a few days then a tiny bump shows up, then my lip swells pretty big, for a few days mostly at night. swelling subsides a little during the day has a tingling in it after several days my lip cracks and drains this happens a few times a year. All together from beginning to end it lasts about 2 weeks.
on my top lip almost daily. Not the border but the actual lip part. They look like tiny white-head zits that barely raise the skin when they are at their worst. They do not come out of the skin like a blister. They stay under the skin but cause it to rise as they get bigger. There are about seven locations where they occur, and they only occur in these exact locations. All locations are spread across my top lip, and not in the corners.
the top layer of skin has started peeling and oozing little bit of yellow puss and also bled like as if you split a chaped lip. part of the scar looks as if it has a dark coloration like blood. I have an appointment to have the cyst drained in a couple of weeks...i would like any advise as to what could be going on with the puffy scar. and should i put anything on it ..
With no pain (until you popped it), and protected sex, herpes is a bit less likely. On the other hand, a "blister" is consistent with the way a herpes outbreak would look. But typically there is more than one, and you would normally have also had a fever, swollen groin lymph nodes, etc. It's possible your Dr tested you for HSV 1&2 or not, it seems to vary from doctor to doctor. But usually you can call in and clarify which tests were run.

i got a bump on my lip from a accident and i bit it to get rid of it , and took medicine to get rid of it, but it won't go away
He popped it at one point and it was full of blood, so I assumed he had just bit his lip and had a blood blister, but after 2-3 weeks, it still hasn't gone away (still looks like it did before he popped it, blood under top layer). The blister doesn't protrude very far, and this is the only one he's ever had. He's worried about his girlfriend and doesnt want to give her something contagious. Please help.
How can I treat a pimple on my upper lip? I already popped it and it looks infected. It's all red and in the center is white. it now looks like a blister and hurts so bad!!! What can I do? It's so embarrassing!
I have had a localized area of my lip which only gets chapped during weather change or if i eat something spicy, etc. and it's been like this for months if not over a year now. Everything is fine, I have a boyfriend and he does not have oral herpes. However, A few days ago I noticed that the little part of my lip got a little red on the edge and i thought nothing of it. It then was shiny and tight so I wanted to check if I had any mouth sores on the inside.
