I have never been diagnosed with HSV1 or 2 but I have gotten canker sores for years. I don't know if this is coincidental or what. I believe I bit my my lip and it turned into a canker sore. However during the same time period I think I had a pair of briefs that were too small and caused rubbing at the base of my shaft and caused small blisters. I had them on at work and I do a lot of walking at work and have very dry skin down there so not very much rubbing seems to cause problems.
For the past week and a half, one side of my lip looks a bit inflamed and is kind of numb. My lips have been chapped but there's a spot that seems really dry. All this time I keep thinking its a cold sore. Though I have not been exposed to anyone with herpes or cold sore. It doesn't have the characteristics of a cold sore. It's really dry and it kind of looks blue at times. the rest of the time it blends with the rest of my skin. But I can still feel the patch there.

Quick question. I'm 25 years old and have NEVER had a cold sore. I was actually given a blood test last year for HSV-1 and HSV-2 and both came back negative. I did however, since then date someone who had cold sores.
In brief, it felt as though I had just had really really chapped lips that ended up splitting in one area. This area did NOT have a blister on it or anything like that but since splitting, has begun to heal (much like a canker sore).
My hand was on his penis and testacles, and I do not remember there being any precum but now I am scared that my hand with massage lotion may have transferred his body fluid to his nipples that I nibbled on and licked with a canker sore on my lip. I acquired HSV 1 genitally on 4/1 (a bit more than 3 months ago). At that time, I had a genital outbreak about 14 days after infection that was confirmed with a culture. I did not have appear to have an oral outbreak (cold sores) at that time. There were possibly some canker sores that resolved themselves within a day.
Now more than 3 months later, I have what looks like a canker sore but I am not sure if its intraoral herpes.

I am 19 years old and about 4 months ago I had a canker sore type bump on my inner lip. My lymph nodes were swollen and the bump was painful. It quickly healed and since then I have had clear-like tiny bumps (much smaller than the initial bump) on my inner lip. They are not at all painful and i can pop them and eat and talk fine..no stinging or anything. Also, my lymph nodes have never swollen after.
So I was in a fight and I got punched in the mouth and busted my lip and it was bleeding but it stoped after a couple hours.
The second sore is inside my top lip above my two front teeth and looks like a traditional canker sore. It started closer to my gums and has been slowly working its way toward my lip and is now halfway onto my lip and halfway still inside my mouth causing my lips to stick together when it gets dry. It now is more raised than before. Very sensitive and painful.
After all of this started, I got a sore throat and drainage which I suspected was just a sinus infection.
From time to time I get a canker sore - they are mostly located on or under my tongue. I once had one on my upper gum. I noticed the stinging white patch on the inside of my lower lip about 5 days ago. I was sure until today that it was a canker sore. i also have one more question what is the difference between a cold sore and a canker sore. From time to time i will get a sore underneath my tongue or on my inside lip but i would have to pull down my lip in order to see it. Its usually red around and white in the center. I thought cold sores had to be outside of the lip like on the lips or near the nose. Also can u get hsv orally in the throat?
I got a canker sore two weeks after a possible exposure. Exactly two weeks. It's really tiny in the middle of my inside lip. Is that a possible cause for concern.
Directly at the end of that time frame, I began to get a cold sore, i think, on my bottom right lip. It barely made a head but i could feel its pressure underneath the skin. It didn't grow, and in less than a week it healed and has gone completely. It felt as if i smacked my lip on something there. It has healed and gone though.
3. Now 3 days ago, back by my molar on my bottom right side, i got a canker sore? it was small, white and painful.
