Avatar f tn I know you suffer from alot but I have done yoga for years and it does relieve so many points of pain and distress from my body. There is a great 25 minute tape/CD called Power Yoga for Beginners by Rodney Yee. Honestly it is a great stretch and not that strenuous and you can take it at your own pace in your livingroom. You are only 42 years old and that is very young. Your body will improve and your quality of life and I know it works for chronic pain. Go online to Yoga.
419309 tn?1326503291 I prefer yoga at home rather than a class. It really works to de-stress. Good luck getting your husband to do yoga (mine would never) but you may enjoy some de-stressing yourself. I like 'A.m and P.m yoga for Beginners'. (Rodney Yee and Patricia Walden) Especially the p.m. part with Patricia Walden. She really takes you through the steps to deep relaxation. ****.*** has it. Best wishes for a smooth beginning. I hope you will share the results of your husband's predose PCR.
Avatar f tn s prenatal yoga in YouTube. Its about half an hour video and she has simplified the asanas for pregnant women. I would recommend watching and doing one asana at a time so that you get the right muscles to work on. Don't forget to ask your doctor before starting and generally its a good idea to start and end the yoga with pranayam exercises like om-vilom, for warm up and cool down. Its not part of the video but you can find them too on you tube. all the best.
Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.

Avatar f tn Prenatal yoga can help a lot. Until you get to a class try some cat/cow, pigeon, and hamstring stretches. You can find lots of videos on YouTube demonstrating how to do them. I'm 22 weeks and still work out and do yoga. Have had plenty of symptoms but hardly any back pain.
Avatar f tn I did yoga but once your belly gets big you need to buy a prenatal yoga video that is for big bellies.

I''ve been doing it since 4 yrs ago..Very helpful to me and probably the easiest yoga stretching you'll find, not to mention it doesn't ask me go 'HUM..........HUM......HUM. Enjoy that cool a/c @ motel. !!!
4845170 tn?1369102292 I just started my third tri but since I found out I was pregnant I have done stretches as squats nearly every day, as the weather got warmer into my second I began to walk at least 3 times a week n started doing prenatal yoga for beginners but it makes me feel the best...I strongly suggest the yoga its great for repaxing n stretching and for a small amount of strengthening (if that's a word haha) I'm hoping all these things help when labor comes.
Avatar f tn I am 38+2 and been trying to kick start things and what I have been doing is bouncing on a yoga ball, lots of walking, going up and down the stairs (when going up I take them by 2) and going down I jump haha they say bumpy car ride can help (or yoga ball) and I can say in the last 2 days I have dropped significantly!
