I did yoga for four years regularly in a Jain hostel., Songadh, India, However thereI was a big gap afterwards. I was regular from the age of 35. Attended many camps of yoga and meditation.Learning is a continuous process so I do look at various websites and try to understand from various viewpoints.Thanks.

I would recommend watching and doing one asana at a time so that you get the right muscles to work on. Don't forget to ask your doctor before starting and generally its a good idea to start and end the yoga with pranayam exercises like om-vilom, for warm up and cool down. Its not part of the video but you can find them too on you tube. all the best.
Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.

Kapalbhati pranayam -(Do it before eating) Build up your timing gradually.If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute. Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically.
Avatar m tn In Yoga, breathing exercises are called pranayam (Indian sanskrit word). Anulom vilom and kapalbhati are names of different pranayam (breathing techniques). There are other breathing exercises as well, which you will learn, once you get interested. You are going to try the pranayam, so you will understand more as you do it.

Avatar f tn Prenatal yoga can help a lot. Until you get to a class try some cat/cow, pigeon, and hamstring stretches. You can find lots of videos on YouTube demonstrating how to do them. I'm 22 weeks and still work out and do yoga. Have had plenty of symptoms but hardly any back pain.

I will tell my experience. Last week I went for standard health check-up. As instructed I was on fast from last night. They collected my blood and urine sample at 9 A.M. Then I was offered breakfast at 9.15 am.
