Avatar f tn s prenatal yoga in YouTube. Its about half an hour video and she has simplified the asanas for pregnant women. I would recommend watching and doing one asana at a time so that you get the right muscles to work on. Don't forget to ask your doctor before starting and generally its a good idea to start and end the yoga with pranayam exercises like om-vilom, for warm up and cool down. Its not part of the video but you can find them too on you tube. all the best.

Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.

Avatar n tn Since you are (understandably) frustrated,you might want to try this.Get on youtube-- search ( baba ramdev pranayam with english subtitles) follow the program with some regularity for a few days.its all simple breathing exercises. After a month try discontinuing the BC medication.In Ayuveda etc its anathema.figure out an alternative .slowly reduce all medications,if you fell alright, discontinue them ,sounds counterintuitive but you have nothing to lose.

I need to work at Zen. :) Plus I normally do a workout video & jog to stay in shape but after I found out I was prego I stopped cuz my last two pregnancies I miscarried. Since I have started taking them atleast my digestion is far better now from what it used to be .. how has it affected my health will come to know only after the test s 5 months from now. Even if it keeps all my levels down ... what more can I ask.. Have you come across anyone who is on similar medication ?

Avatar f tn Prenatal yoga can help a lot. Until you get to a class try some cat/cow, pigeon, and hamstring stretches. You can find lots of videos on YouTube demonstrating how to do them. I'm 22 weeks and still work out and do yoga. Have had plenty of symptoms but hardly any back pain.
