Avatar f tn I already feel a lot healthier and have seen some improvements in my body. I tend to carry my weight in my hips and upper thighs and I was just wondering if anyone has any good tips to work on these areas. Right now my routine is 45 min biking, then 30min weights and exercises (mostly abs and arms) and then 35 min jogging. I am up to try any new exercises that would help target my problem areas so any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
Avatar f tn A leg press targets your thighs and rear, while leg curls on a leg curl machine will help you get firm thighs and a strong back. To combine cardio with strength training, try a rowing machine, which has the added benefit of working your arms and upper body. Combining different types of exercise can help you get a stronger workout. Try interval training when you're doing your cardio. Simply alternate between a minute or two of intense exercise followed by a minute or two of moderate work.

Avatar m tn And let me tell you--the stomach melted off. I used to have a 32 inch waist and 38 inch hips, and now I have a 28 inch waist and 39 inch hips. Now I'm an hour glass and have a much flatter stomach. The only change I made to my diet is eating more protein. Moral of the story? Do lots of lunges and squats, and do 45 minute workouts at a high resistance at least four days a week on a stationary bike.

Avatar f tn I downloaded the apps "Daily Workouts free" and "Lose Weight Fitness and Workouts", those two apps have a ton of workouts for targeted areas or your whole body. They are also short videos so they show you how your body is supposed to be positioned. Daily Workouts also times you in intervals. Hope this helps if you're able to download apps. I also have the app "Fitness Buddy", but I haven't looked at it as much, that one looks more targeted towards men.
Avatar f tn I haven't gained a ton either but what I did gain had definitely gone to my hips and thighs. I still work out like I did before but I also eat more so I'm still gaining about 1 lb a week. Last baby I gained 64 lbs! So I think I'm on target to gain about 30 with this one which is fine with me compared to last time! I still hate seeing my thighs blow up tho. It *****! I'm in NY and its almost time to start showing some leg and wear a bathing suit.

Avatar f tn I can pull them up without unbuttoning them but my hips and thighs are starting to fill them in pretty well. I go shopping a lot for exercise, I don't buy anything I just walk around the store and look...lol...it's winter, there's no way I'm going outside.

Cardio will help you increase the number of calories you burn to help your fat loss. Weight training will build size in your gluteus maximus, which is the major muscle in your butt. Do three to five cardio workouts into your schedule every week.

Besides this the 30 minutes of aerobic exercise is also important. Concentrate on which foods you have to eat and which foods you don't have to eat. Avoid eating fried foods and sweets too often. Get used to eating complex carbohydrates rather than refined once. I hope this will help.
Avatar f tn Fast workouts aren't always the answer. Walking is an excellent exercise; it will tone up your belly, legs, hips, thighs, so cellulite isn't so obvious. Aim for at least 30 minutes/day, but more if you have time (minimum 30 min/day, 3 days/week). You don't have to run or job, just go at a good brisk clip. If you carry a resistance band, you can work your arms, shoulders, back all at the same time. Yoga is also good for toning, tightening.

I'm in the military and I reallly don't want to buy all new uniforms, I have 3 weeks but doubt it's happening. Lol thanks in advance!

This is really important if your still growing. For strength and toning, inner leg lifs, squats, lunges would be good. leg press, hamstring machiens at gym might be ok...

Avatar f tn Walking burns fat, as long as you keep a good brisk pace for at least 30-60 min. Yoga helps build muscle (which burns fat) and is great for toning. You can do a google search for different yoga videos, that you can watch for free, in order to learn how to do it. Don't worry if you can't do as well as the person in the video -- they've been doing it for a long time; do the best you can and you'll realize that as you do it, you get better.
Avatar f tn Honestly Im an active peraon and have cellulite all over my thighs and butt and stretch marks. I was a soccer player before pregnancy and idk how im gonna get back to my old body. And squats are safe and they dont induce labor.
