Back when I was 14-17 I would join my father in the gym, but his trainer gave me different things to do to just be fit and toned. I do have some equipment at my house and my husband works crazy hours so we can't just go to a gym. Plus, I would like to look semi-decent to be able to even show up at a gym. 8793709 tn?1409594060 hi ladies I'm 8+5 now, and try to hit the gym around 4 times a week. I stopped using the hip abductor and adductor, which strengthen the hip and inner/outer thigh muscles. I'm equally uncomfortable/insecure about doing the ab-machine (crunch thing) ... even the rowing machine seems a lil too rigorous. as of now I only do the cross-trainer for around 50 min which burns 500cal.

Below are a couple of suggestions to aid in that process. You should start by observing what you eat and the size of the portions. Keeping a food diary of everything you consume (food and drinks) for just one week will train you to be mentally aware.

Avatar f tn I do but the only things I use are the treadmill and the elliptical. A lot of the equipment is off limits while pregnant so be sure to talk to your dr before trying something new.

No symptoms, I function fine, my heart rate goes up when I workout or need it to, only time I ever feel weak or lightheaded is when I worry as I do suffer from anxiety. However otherwise I have no symptoms. This isn’t just a bad read either as my pcp has commented on it before and his equipment agreed.

Currently my exercise is walking quite a bit (at least an hour a day, recommendation is 1/2 hour min) and a physically active job. My lack of strength shows at work. Sundays I use strap on weights on my walk. Going to the gym is out of the question - too expensive and impractical to get to after work (though I'm looking for a job at a place with a gym).

I know it is for your stomach since you will be laughing so hard. =D But other than the laughs, which are good for your health, is it worth $20 & 6 minutes a day? PS - I don't think I could ever use this in front of the kids. Know what I mean?
Avatar n tn I had a roommate who used one of these in bad weather, and Gym is right, it's much easier to maintain and use than exercise equipment. I like the home exercise equipment, but as i said, it always turns out to need a lot of maintenance even when new.
Avatar f tn I was always told that you can maintain the normal as a runner. Which I did.. basically until youre really showing then taper it back accordingly. If youre already active its best to stay that way. You just dont want to add anything to your routine. The doctor will tell you when its no longer safe and to adjust your stride.

Avatar n tn It has helped me immensely educating me about the best combination of foods paired with the best use of weights. You can workout at home with a minimum of weights and fitness equipment. By making some (not a lot - mostly cutting back on added sugars) necessary diet changed you will feel awesome by July, on the right path to a fitter you and healthier lifestyle. I know you can do it even if it takes longer than my time frame you'll learn so much during your journey.
