Avatar f tn I wanted to try a waist training corset a couple months after birth (when I have the Ok to workout). What do you ladies think about it? I've heard both sides - that it works / it doesn't work. I'm very curious. Has anyone tried it before?
11717999 tn?1422521384 there are several transition videos on youtube of real people using waist training and the before and after results were amazing but it takes alot of focus to religiously wear that steel clamped equipment all day. Good luck.
Avatar f tn m even skinnier then I was before I got pregnant. I just know about it bcus I did it when I was a workout addict lol.. it gave me a really nice shape!! Then I got preggo and lost it hah. But I would do it after your 6 weeks postpartum is up.. because your uterus is still very open and pressure on your stomach wouldn't be good.

Back when I was 14-17 I would join my father in the gym, but his trainer gave me different things to do to just be fit and toned. I do have some equipment at my house and my husband works crazy hours so we can't just go to a gym. Plus, I would like to look semi-decent to be able to even show up at a gym. (Yea, I've let myself go that bad.

I know it is for your stomach since you will be laughing so hard. =D But other than the laughs, which are good for your health, is it worth $20 & 6 minutes a day? PS - I don't think I could ever use this in front of the kids. Know what I mean?
Avatar n tn I had a roommate who used one of these in bad weather, and Gym is right, it's much easier to maintain and use than exercise equipment. I like the home exercise equipment, but as i said, it always turns out to need a lot of maintenance even when new.

Of course I wouldn't workout hard just walk, and do some stairs at the gym. Was wondering if detox water is okay? It would contain ONLY water, cucumber, lemon, mint, and grapefruit.

I chose a gym that is close to my trainstation that I get out of from work (so I would be more inclined into going after work) and also this gym is good because it's well over 20 blocks from house. I plan to walk going and coming home so that will burn more calories too! I'm so excited!!!!
Avatar f tn baby to workout. Nothing crazy-walk or get a prenatal workout DVD (can find on Amazon). When you have the baby you ONLY loose 15-20 lbs everything after that is Ur weight not baby. But staying healthy when prego will make loosing weight post baby easier. After baby don't do crash diets especially if nursing. It takes time. Eat rt & walk. Wait 6 wks before starting a excersise routine & nursing does help burn calories.
Business woman1 I advise my patients with similar complaints to start low intensity muscle toning (reps using 15-20 lbs 3 days a week) and upper body aerobic exercise 1-2x weekly (ie swimming, eliptical). Hiring a personal trainer may also give you the structure and guidance that will help you achieve your goal but without sustaining an injury. But the results can be slow (ie 3-6 months) Hope this helps!

It is a heated pool but I would guess the temperature is never above 80, so it is well below my body temp. I am really tired, complete with accentuated leg drag/foot drop when I get out of the pool. It takes me a couple hours to feel better after being in the pool. Does anyone else experience this problem with the pool?
8793709 tn?1409594060 hi ladies I'm 8+5 now, and try to hit the gym around 4 times a week. I stopped using the hip abductor and adductor, which strengthen the hip and inner/outer thigh muscles. I'm equally uncomfortable/insecure about doing the ab-machine (crunch thing) ... even the rowing machine seems a lil too rigorous. as of now I only do the cross-trainer for around 50 min which burns 500cal.
Avatar f tn d suggest you join a gym that has a full menu of exercise equipment like cardio machines (doing the same form of exercise will get boring and cause your muscles to adapt to that one form of exercise and eventually you will see less and less progress), freevweights, strength, and core equipment. I don't know your level of fitness so I can just give some general guidelines. I'd suggest that for every day you walk you do a day of strength/core training on the next day.
