What is this test? Teak do u know it?
Also, it mentions in the units : qualitative. What do they mean by qualitative?

The good news is that all Tests came back negative. The HIV test I took was ELISA. I was then put on Lexapro for anxiety and was sent to see a mental health professional. I have been seeing my mental health doc for the last 6 weeks. I have a 13 week HIV ELISA test on next week Tuesday.
QUESTIONS:
1. Am I ok against the STDS that I tested for at 6 weeks?
2. I was vaccinated against Hep B when I was younger probably age 10 or 8. (Now early 20's) Am I safe against Hep B?

neither it will happen in future. Pl confirm what should i do? is it possible that antibodies dont develop after 2 years? is it possible for virus to remain dormant and dont get detected by DNA PCR test? i have cough from last 6 months which sometimes fades away automatically and again reoccurs. i also had fever after 1 month and 3 months from that incident. pl tell me what to do? what are the odds/ chances in my case?
Had unprotected vaginal intercourse and oral sex with ejaculation with white female with unknown HIV status. HIV ELISA/STD testing 3 days post-exposure was negative. HIV DNA PCR and ELISA 35 days post-exposure were also negative. Is there any need for further testing or are the 35 day results conclusive?
7 years ago I had unprotected intercourse with a girl 2 times and I have been tested for HIV every year since. The problem I've been having is that little after having sex with this girl I got symptoms that HIV positive people get. I have always had the concern of having contracted HIV and this is why I get tested every year. I met my wife and got married about a year after the encounter.
Doesn't matter what generation test it is. ALL antibody tests are conclusive at 3 months post exposure.
There is a lot of new tests but elisa is just the type of test, there are 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation of elisas, and there continue to be a lot of research for new tests, the newest teste tend to be rapid test accurate as elsia tests, there has been also improvement also in the NAAT tests, and some labs are trying to come up with a new 5th generation rapid test (PCR+Antibody+p24) but is not ready yet.
