In my opinion, it is way too much to wear full scale makeup every day for going to school, instead of spending time on healthy and or learning activities.

Avatar n tn But I only intend to be on it for one more month, as the doctor said it is used for three months only, as the body gets used to it and you may stop losing weight. I feel I have kickstarted the weight loss but I do understand that this is a drastic way of losing weight, however I think the dangers of being obese somewhat outway the dangers of taking amphetamines short term to lose weight (as long as you have no other pre-existing conditions).

Avatar f tn As many women my age I am having a weight loss problem. I did some looking on the internet in regard to this. One article said to have two teaspoons of honey before you go to bed; apparently this is supposed to improve your metabolism, another article says that you should drink a teaspoon of honey in warm water when you first get up in the morning. Apparently the use of honey is supposed to help with weight problems. Is this true? I appreciate any information that you can give me.
Avatar f tn My doctor told me that Effexor XR does not affect your weight and if anything it causes loss of appetite or weight loss, which I did read on the perscription label from the pharmacy. Lately, I've been doing more research and all I am finding are blogs about people who have gained a minimum of 25 lbs!!!!! Can someone give me a straight answer as to yes, it makes you gain weight or no it does not?

I have found this to be true. Getting started is hard because my desire for food has increased--particularly with carbohydrate rich foods. Right now I am exercising vigorously once a day, and I have cut back on my alcohol consumption by a lot. Still--I battle with snacking. Any suggestions?

Don't sweat it if you crave for something "bad", to a balanced diet belongs the bad side, too. If you give in now to a small piece of chocolate, it is much better than to eat two whole packages later.
Avatar f tn Yes please talk to your dr, there are many things that could cause rapid or excessive weight loss and some of them can be serious. In addition to Thyroid and GI testing maybe ask about diabetes. It seems odd, but it can cause weight loss.
Avatar f tn I promise you your completely fine. I'm 19 weeks haven't gained any weight. Lost weight and the baby is perfect. It didn't matter how tall or how much you weight as long as baby measures up during ultrasound it's perfectly fine.

When we lose fat too fast our metabolism will slow in order to conserve fat (fuel) deposits (starvation mode) and that creates new problems such a resetting the metabolic rate and fat gains during the plateau, etc.
