Common Questions and Answers about Weight chart web md

Avatar n tn and once I have completed the antibiotics is there a chance of losing the weight? or at least stopping the weight gain. Aside from the vanity point of losing the weight I am sure it makes the arthritis and numbness worse to be carrying around 40 - 50 extra pounds. I simply don't know how to fix this problem, as crazy as that sounds.
Avatar n tn I have digenerative disc disease and my neirologist just prescribed topamax, he said it would help with the pain and tingling but could result in weight loss. I am wondering if prescribing topamax for ddd is common among neurologists? I can't seem to find any other information related to topamax as a pain med, only information I have is that it's a powerful drug with lots of side effects, most not so good. The weight loss aspect is the only plus...
Avatar n tn For more info on celiac disease go to web md and put it in the search engine to verify.
Avatar n tn I was looking back on my weight loss chart and saw that within 3 weeks of starting lexapro each time, I had a significant weight gain. I went from 175 to 185 the first time and then continued to gain despite following the program and exercising. When I went off the med, the weight began to drop and I made it down below 200. I started it again in February this year and within 3 weeks, here came another 10 pounds and it's been steadilly going up ever since.
Avatar n tn and further more the very next morning i swear....i have gained more weight! i am literally gaining weight EVERY DAY.

358026 tn?1197496896 I don't have a chart handy, but I would say that you are overweight, and it would be a good idea to lose 40 lbs. The best way is to eat in a heallthy way, primarily eating to satisfy your physical hunger, not your emotional hunger. You have to stop eating too much when stressed or upset, and the best way to do that is follow a program. You can learn all about emotional eating on the web, and you can start on my website www.shrinkyourself.com.
Avatar n tn Dear Granett: Tell your friend to publish is work and he will get the nobel prize as researchers for many years have been looking for the agent that causes MS. Absolutely no data suggests that Herpes causes MS. I have a nineteen year old young man in my office currently who has shingles. There you go, another myth put to rest.

Avatar m tn This is one of the reasons that overweight people with diabetes are recommended to lose weight. For obese people, who are diabetic, and lose weight, their diabetes may be apparently reversed (though the tendency for diabetes is still there and it may return if they gained weight again)..
Avatar n tn You have borderline hypothyroidism. If the antibodies are positive (and even if they aren't....) and you felt better on synthroid, there is not reason not to start back on meds to keep the TSH around 1.0 -- would do that first and if after 3 months you still feel bad, then do rheum eval.
Avatar n tn Thanks CCF Neuro MD and thanks for all the followup posts. I think I'm going to try waiting this out but it's tough because I can't go anywhere where significant walking is required. My right leg starts getting too weak/heavy/stiff and is uncomfortable. Also over the last week I've been getting periodic stiffness of my jaw -- that's the best way I can describe it. I keep telling myself, "it's just anxiety, it'll go away" but too many times, it doesn't. I guess time will tell.
Avatar n tn I just talked to my Dr office and they advised me that new information shows that people that weight over 75KG don,t have as good a chance of obtaining a SVR with pegasys as they do with Peg-Intron. Has anyone else herd about this! I was hoping to do my TX on pegasys but they said no, at my wieght they only use Peg-Intron. I feel confused as I have never heard this before, so I guess I'll be taking Peg-Intron. But I will try to find more information about this.
Avatar f tn Thank you very much for your answer. I did read the information on the web link you included. I have an appointment with the endocrinologist on the 15th of this month and I am so anxious. I hope he goes by my symptoms and helps me. But if he doesn't I am back to zero. I did find him from the stopthethyroridmadness web site and he was recommended. But just in case it doesn't can you or someone point me to a referral source by the state.
97628 tn?1204465633 Radiology place has cytologist on premises to ensure appropriate sample taken. Should've had it done at radiology place. Still hypersalivating, insomnia, weight loss to 101 pounds, BMI now 18.1, occasional pain in throat radiating to jaw and ear ( endo says thyroid pain does that - when he pierced it during biopsy same jaw pain was experienced), placed on beta blocker for heart rate, have twitching of lower facial muscles, clavicle pain and numbness in face, right cheek.

Avatar m tn TPO is a test that detects antibody, When you have an autoimmune disease, as I am sure your son has with the result of the Antibody count, I don't know if this is autoimmune Hypo or Hyper thyroid, there is the tgAb and bothe are normally used to detect either Graves Disease, which is when the body's defenses or Immune system does not recognize the thyroid as part of the body and attacks it, it can cause overproduction of thyroid hormones, which is called Graves Disease (hyperactive) and/or cause
Avatar n tn So I asked him what about everything else. Weight gain, complete exhaustion, fatigue, tingling in my hands, muscle cramps and pains(esp. in my knees/legs). He asked me what my Endo said. I haven't been to one. My primary MD referred me to ENT for surgery. I feel like no one will help me own and fix my problem. I don't want to have this surgery and end up feeling worse with my other systems. I am wondering how much this ENT is trying to help me, he has my med.
Avatar n tn I was told by my local surgeon not to do any weight-lifting or running. I guess by doing all of my research on the web I'm still a little confused as to how serious my situation really is. From my understanding, my regurgitation on a level of 1-5 is 4.5. Let me know your thoughts.
Avatar f tn It seems like he weight is coming off on its own now. I don't crave anything. I'm hoping to reach my goal by January. I'm not worried about the holidays because I have been turned off all food and I don't think it will be difficult to continue following what the naturopath has told me to do. By the way...eat a lot of yogourt..it really facilitates weight loss. I eat about 500g of yogourt per day and drink 2-3 glasses of milk per day.
251922 tn?1193786078 k so I am 13 pounds down in 15 days. Four days I was at the same weight, didn't complete the apples all day because I was wek and not feeling well. I'm up a smidge today but I don't care. I mixed a new batch up and wondered since the pharmacist helped me mix it to keep me at a 150 dose can I just pull up to the 2.00 mark on the syringe or will it not work? I want a higher dose.
Avatar n tn Anyone though that has tried it, and honestly stuck to it, has lost weight. Lots of weight. I have lived a quasi Atkins diet now for the last 5 years and have been up and down depending on how serious I live the diet. Whenever I am serious about it, I lose weight. I don't care what any "Dr" or "study" says, the freakin diet works. I'm goin' on this and will keep you posted.
Avatar f tn I just want my money back...........10 freakin months is crazy.........AND FOR WHAT????????? NO DAMN RESULTS,IN FACT WEIGHT AND INCH GAIN INSTEAD. THIS PLACE IS A BOGUS, THEY DONT BACK UP WHAT THEY PROMISE AT ALL. I'm sorry, I'm only maybe 60 lbs overweight and 6 ft tall, I'm not a real heavy person- there is NO reason for this, this should have been easy! I was only 40 lbs over my normal weight when I began this program. I WISH I NEVER GOT SUCKERED INTO THIS BY ADVANCED LIPO DISSOLVE.
475555 tn?1469307939 At the moment, I'm trying to get a second hep MD at my hospital to discuss the situation with me (my regular hep MD is reacting badly to the Fibroscan F3/F4 results). Then I thought I'd pressure the hospital to repeat the Fibroscan, just in case the machine wasn't working right the first time. At the same time, I'm trying to locate another machine, even if it's back in the U.S. (not easy, I hear, as it hasn't been approved there).
Avatar n tn To answer your questions: By PCS, I am assuming you are talking about post-cholecystectomy syndrome. 1) Althought possible, I am not aware of PCS directly leading to anxiety or panic disorders. If the symptoms are due to anxiety, increasing the Paxil is not an unreasonable option. Note that the increased dose may take several weeks to take effect. 2) Being only one week post-op, you may want to discuss with your surgeon whether these symptoms are associated with the surgery.
