Weight chart with frame size

Common Questions and Answers about Weight chart with frame size

284738 tn?1283110419 It can still vary from person to person, but you can use this as a general guide. For female's 5'11 with a small frame a healthy weight would be between 135-148. For a medium frame 145-159 and a large frame 155-176.
Avatar f tn Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'9" 129-142 139-153 149-170 Wow - what a job THAT was. lol Now, to the practical stuff. You are NOT over weight. At 5'9" and 118 pounds, you were significantly underweight for ANY size frame. Even if you have a large frame, you are pretty close to where you should be. I know it might be hard but you need to eat several small meals every day.
Avatar f tn Your weight not only depends on your height, but also your frame size. Some with a large frame (large bones) should weigh more than someone who is very small/fine boned. Here's a portion of a chart that applies to you: Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'5" 117-130 127-141 137-155 At 135, you're really not overweight at all, unless you are very small boned, then just barely.
Avatar f tn I have another question. Do any of you have trouble with gaining weight or not being able to lose it. I have gained about 15 lbs in the past 6 months and can't seem to lose but a few lbs and then put it back on. I don't eat very much during the day. Most of the time I will skip supper or only eat a very little bit. I eat a small breakfast and a medium lunch. The drs put me on lyrica for a while and that probably contributed to the weight, but I am off of it now.
Avatar f tn First off, at 5'5" and 136 lbs, you aren't overweight; I've put in a bit of a height/weight chart that would apply to you. Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'5" 117-130 127-141 137-155 That said - yes, hormonal changes can cause weight gain, but I don't believe it's true that when a woman hits 30, she automatically gains weight.
2028721 tn?1356685603 I've copied a bit of a height/weight chart for you. Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'11" 146-157 154-166 161-184 Depending on your frame size (bone structure), you aren't so far overweight and you should really be happy that you were able to lose the 160 lbs.
Avatar n tn I haven't had any migranes, I'm not dreadfully tired and as an added bonus, it is already helping me to lose weight. I have struggled with weight all of my life, so knowing that this can help is wonderful. I eat smart and exercise, but before, I slept all the time. Now I don't eat as much and I have more energy. It is great hope for anyone with epilepsy, migranes, maia, but I don't think it should be prescribed for people as a weight loss pill.
Avatar n tn but meds affect people in all different ways I just started taking it for pcos and insulin resistance has only been a couple days so far so Ill let you all know, but pcos cause weight gain and the insulin resistance causes the pcos so the insulin resistance is treated first with metformin which should help with the weight loss because you need to loose weight in order for the pcos to get better and the resistance problem goes away......................
Avatar f tn For your height, you are actually underweight. I copied a portion of a height/weight chart for you to see what you should actually weigh. I don't know about your frame size (whether you are large boned or more petite).
Avatar f tn The March of Dimes' website used to have (probably still does) a good chart of average weight gain during pregnancy. It might ease your mind.
Avatar n tn I am new here, and after reading these posts, I see that I am not alone with these symptoms. I am 55, post menapausal, and have gained 40 pounds in 2 months. I too have had to buy larger size clothes to fit my larger size. My 5'5" small boned frame went from 150 lbs to 190 lbs so fast! My PCP gave me a lecture on my weight gain and ordered TSH and CBC twice. They all came back within normal limits.
Avatar n tn The med has worked wonders on my depression, but has played havoc with my weight. The Dr. says it won't put on weight on by itself. He says I'm feeling better and this is why the additonal pounds due to eating more. My consumption of food has decreased and I'm eating healthier foods. Yet, I still put on the pounds despite exercising 45 minutes 3-4 times a week. I don't under stand this and what to believe.
Avatar n tn I only gained 25 lbs with my son, and he was healthy, and so was I....My dr. said that a 30lb weight gain with a full term pregnancy is ideal.
Avatar n tn hi i am 13 and im not happy with my weight,i want to lose weight by the time i go back to school after the summer holidays help?!
Avatar f tn I gained between 50-60lbs with both of pregnancies, but like most of you I lost it very quick after birth and just barely lost the last 15lbs. Go figure that i'm prego with #3, i'm really hoping not gain as much weight. What's funny is i don't gain anything and I don't even look prego until i reach 4-5 months then during those months i gained 10-15 lbs ouch and it steadily goes up from there. If any of you have any tricks to stay in a healthy weight gain i'm all ears.
Avatar n tn I am cross training with running, the elliptical, cardio-kickboxing, and an aerobic dance class. 3 times a week I weight train with a personal trainer. Sometimes, the weight trainig includes circuits, which definitely keeps my heart rate up even longer! However, I stood on the scale today and I have gained 2 more pounds. I know weight can flucuate but I feel very frustrated. Thanks for all your advice.
Avatar f tn Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'2" 108-121 118-132 128-143 I don't know the size of your bones - small, medium, large, but you aren't necessarily overweight....... That said, it seems that you are mostly concerned about your stomach, but you need to look at your entire body.
Avatar f tn Here's a bit I copied from a height/weight chart, that pertains to you. Your actual weight depends on the size of your frame. Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'2" 108-121 118-132 128-143 Depending on your frame size, you might not even be overweight.
Avatar n tn I was but I'm afraid to take it because of the warnings about not taking it to lose weight and in combination with weight loss drugs. My pharmacist said that if you take it when you don't need it (I've never had a thyroid problem - and I've been tested a lot) it can shut down your thyroid! Any thoughts? Thanks!
Avatar f tn You weight should also be determined by your frame size, along with your height. If you have a large frame, your healthy weight would be higher than if your frame is very small. Here's a portion of a height/weight chart that might be helpful.
Avatar n tn Welcome. Ok - it's very early in the morning (5:45 am) and I'm sorry to say, I'm not real familiar with kg and cm; neither am I real good at math; however, I took a few minutes to let "google" make some conversions for me and I came up with the following: Height: 177 cm = 5'8" Current Weight: 75 kg = 165 pounds Desired Weight: 64 kg = 140.8 pounds That done, I went back again and let "google" find a height/weight chart.
Avatar f tn It seemed to progress with age with me as well. Diagnosed firmly at age 38. I just went downhill like **** on a hot tin roof! One day I seemed to have it together and then the next BOOM - fallin' apart. That isn't really the case - I fell apart slowly and progressively- but still - all the books I've read talk about the disorder getting worse as we age or if it has been left untreated due to something called "kindling". Look it up - research it.
Avatar n tn 6 pounds, you possibly aren't overweight, but that depends on your frame size. Here's part of a chart, with your height and what you should weigh, based on your frame size. Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'5" 117-130 127-141 137-155 Be sure to lose any weight, safely or it could cause issues later in life.
Avatar f tn I'm sending this out to any parent out there who may have a baby with congenital hypothyroidism. My fourth son was born with this condition and my husband and I are always looking for anyone who can relate. It feels like no one really understands because we are from a small town and my little one is the only one around with this. At his local doctor's office he is quite popular because anytime I bring him in they are very interested in anything he has done.
Avatar m tn Hi astroturf I would also describe myself as anxious and a worrier I'm not on any meds I do clench my teeth and grind them at night I have a TON of floaters, since I was a kid I have migraine with aura I cannot see the spots in the dark, unless I'm watching TV or on the computer etc They are most noticeable against light backgrounds, the sky and when glancing at anything with contrast. horizontal blinds and lined paper are awful.
Avatar m tn 000iu daily to 5000iu daily and lost 20points to 72ng/ml, so there is so much interference from hbv on vit d, definitely nothing to do with healthy people at all, vit d acts like a water soluble vitamin on some of us with no accumulation at all so the only way to reach around 90ng/ml for me is stay on 10.000-15.
Avatar f tn 135 is not necessarily overweight for someone who is 5'4" Here's part of height/weight chart that pertains to your height. Height Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame 5'4" 114-127 124-138 134-151 It would depend on your frame size and of course, you activity level and age have not been taken into consideration here either.
184674 tn?1360864093 I hate talking about weight, exercise, and eating habits with people, because it NEVER fails that I'm the one to get cut down. I hate going out to eat with people. I can't win one way or the other with what I wear, either: If I wear fitted clothes, people see how "anorexic" I am, and if I wear baggy clothes, I get comments on how I'm drowning in my clothes and why don't I wear stuff to show off my "cute figure." Aaaggghhhh! I'm perfectly happy with the way I am, people!
886304 tn?1256095504 Then 2-5 lbs at a time I will gradually go down and keep reassessing until I am at a weight I feel comfortable with, even if it is a few pounds above the height/weight chart or somewhere within the height/weight chart. Thanks for posting your questions and feelings .. am sure many of us feel the same way. Would encourage you .. and ask you to consider .. posting your feelings and thoughts along the way and sharing them in the community.
