Avatar m tn but now with chest pressure and a bit burning sensation feeling. I went to a hospital and took a blood test, ECG and chest x ray and everything is fine. The doctor is guessing maybe it is acid reflux that is causing the burning sensation so gave me some Famotidine. Because it will have some side effects so I took Gaviscon double action tablet instead. The burning sensation did not get better but it seems to move down from my chest to my abdomen area and continue to burn for like 24 hours.
Avatar m tn My mom has chf, hypertension,and she is also diabetes and for the past year she has been nausea and vomiting. She is in and out of the hospital almost every month for the past year. The doctors cannot come up with a solution to stop the vomiting, it will stop for a few days and start all over again. My mom is tired of going to the hospital. She is on all these medication and nothing seems to help.Can someone please give me some advice.
Avatar f tn My jack russell terrier was in acute kidney failure last month and is now in chronic. Her blood work, off the charts in some areas, has normalised but her urine showed high protein and she has high blood pressure; she is taking enalapril for both of these. She is on Hills KD and has shown improvement in weight gain, appetite, zest for life, her coat looks fantastic. But I can't seem to control her vomiting for more than a few days.
Avatar n tn Another visit I asked again about cardiac, I asked if he felt I needed a stress test, he said no I do not feel you need a stress test, and trust me if I was worried, then YOU should be worried, and says he is very paranoid about heart disease and takes it very seriously. So I hope, with all of his reassurance, that he is right. I have been seeing him since I turned 18, now 26.

If the symptoms persist, further evaluation may need to be done. Seeking another GI specialist's opinion may also help. For symptomatic relief, complementary and alternative medicine such as acupuncture may help provide relief. Take care an do keep us posted.

You may see a wide or high pulse pressure. Pulse pressure is normally around 40mmHg. Eg: 120/80 = 40, enlarged thyroid gland, exophthalmos (protruding eyes).

Avatar f tn I am between 32 and 33 weeks and for some reason I can eat all day and feel good but then at night I will get sudden heart burn and then diarrhea and then I will throw up everything that I ate for the entire day. And this only happens at night. Is this normal or what?? I need help and don't know what to do. I'm scared to eat now.

He went blind at age 4 due to SARDS, diagnosed with Cushing's disease at age 5 and now kidney disease and a heart murmur. He's had 2 hospital stays due to dehydration and we now give him SubQ fluids every day. He has gotten a lot pickier about what he'll eat and now he will only eat certain dog treats.

I have no heart disease or any other heart condition, but for some reason vomiting throws my heart info afib, and my hr jumps to 160 bpm and i have to recieve cardizem. The doctor told me hes not concerned with the afib, but he wants to keep my hr down.

She had a full CBC in late November which showed a TSH of 0.113. Her symptoms remained, and now her full thryoid bloods are as follows: T3- 473, TSH- 0.011, Total T4->15.0. She is only 19 years old and scheduled for an RAIU and ultrasound. My Dr. is baffled by the vomiting and nausea. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Avatar n tn he went into the er to get a boil lanced ,had to come back in an one hours time for fever,vomiting and pain. the next day he had emergency surgury the surgeon said it was not done correctly in the er . they put a plug in the little hole which caused him to get septic. also explain how this can effect heart,liver,kidneys,brain,and other organs?
Avatar f tn Since I gave birth to my first child 4 1/2 months ago via c-section I have had epsiodes of vomiting and diarrhea.Several years ago I had the same problem but everything went aways once my gallbladder was removed. The episodes of vomiting and diarrhea last anywhere from hours to 2 days. I have recorded what I am eating to see if it is a food allergy but only thing i have found in the past week is butter makes me sick but not other dairy products.

My abdomen xrays were fine and my ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound fine as well. Tomorrow I go in for a colonoscopy. Around this time I started taking iron supplements for hair loss. My iron levels were in the very bottom of the range but still in range and my GP said I could take supplements. I took them for about 3 weeks. Could that have caused cirrhosis of the liver?

414347 tn?1294807038 I am not sure if there is but I suffered from a bad vertigo attack in July 07 had ER visits and all kinds of test that were normal and then in Nov 07 started with upset stomach and vomiting and just had my gallbladder out in Jan 08 (no stones). No one has told me that they are related but I wonder?
