Avatar n tn I do not have any dizziness/vertigo/vomiting/nausea/upset stomach/muscle pain nothing but a sore throat, horrible headache, and stiff/hurting neck. I am 22, I have a 7 month old daughter, I am 115-120 Lbs 5'3 and there is cancer in my family, but all theirs was to do with smoking and I am a nonsmoker and so is my husband. Thanks so much. I can not see a doctor as I do not have insurance, do not qualify for state help, and have too much debt/bills to pay for on my own.
Avatar m tn Even though I have no headache or stiff neck, possibly a very weak headache from worrying about this, but what are the chances of me getting this? I know it's very rare, but I swam in lake superior in shallow water with a very warm air to water ratio on August 1st I'm very worried about this. Last Saturday I had a fever and upset stomach, pain in my stomach thought it was appendicitis or something then got nauseated probably through worrying especially finding out about this amoeba.

Avatar f tn severe headache, stiff neck, vomiting, heat flashes, tingling in head, fever EVERY DAY, light sensitive, just dont feel good, and can't sleep at night...i just toss and turn all night long! I live in a village in remote Alaska and flew to Fairbanks to go to the ER. The ER did a spinal tap and ran all sorts of tests on my blood and urine. I also got a CT Scan and MRI which showed some swelling in sinus area. It all came back clean and the doctor diagnosed me with a "stiff neck"!

Avatar m tn For the last several days I've had a stiff neck with 'heavy head' and a general headache, muscle weakness, some tingling and dizziness/lightheadedness. The lightheadedness is by far the most troubling and I'm desperate to feel normal. It's like I've been wearing someone else's glasses for the last week. I felt dizzy for a couple of days, the second day chills and weakness and tingling started and I assumed I had a bug of some sort.

There are other symptoms like confusion, seizures, change in smell or taste, loss of balance and sensitivity to light. A fever of 99 is usually normal. You can get other things from fresh water like parasites (Giardia) and so forth. So if you get diarrhea and things like that you can get tested for stool parasites. So if you develop bad diarrhea stomach cramps etc. Then see a doctor for that.
Avatar f tn So today my Celexa dose was upped from half a pill to 1 whole pill and the side effects are coming back like when I first started... Sweaty, can't sleep, headache, stiff neck, clenching teeth... Etc. I don't know what to do. I tried taking stuff for it, including an Oxy but still no change. What can I take to make these side effects not so bad? I don't see the dr till Thursday, so I can't ask her... If anyone has any suggestions?

Other symptoms associated with meningitis include fever, stiff neck, vomiting, headache, decreases level of consciousness, confusion and even seizures. If it persists and some of the symptoms mentioned are present, have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Direct clinical examination is important. Take care and regards.

Its accompained by my neck feeling stiff and it feels hard to swallow also blurred vision and nausea. I also get very dizzy when i move and the pain lasts hours sometimes days. Avatar n tn It seems to be worse in the morning, and I have a really stiff neck. Its there all day and worse when I do exercise or bend over. Im also pretty sure my vision is getting worse, although I went to the opticians who seem to think my eye sight is virtually perfect. The pain is tight around my head, and occasionally its tight accross the nose. Please help im terrified!!!!
Avatar f tn Don't you have a stiff neck? But if it's worsen that that, then I guess you have to see an joint pain specialist. There might be some broken veins. Try to undergo test and check ups for that matter and ask what a doctor can advice on your with this pain trouble you're suffering. I hope you'll get better soon.
Avatar n tn Hello, Numbness on one side of the brain along with headache, more with movement of the neck can be due to whiplash injury or cervical spodylosis. Diagnosis can be confirmed by X-ray, CT or MRI of the head and neck. You can use anti-inflammatory painkillers like ibuprofen, paracetamol. Muscle relaxants, or narcotics will also help. Use of soft cervical collars is also helpful. A good posture may help. Brace your shoulders slightly backwards, and walk 'like a model'.
