vitamin

Avatar f tn For nursing. I've heard that continuing with my prenatal after delivery will help during nursing, is this something any of you ladies have done or have you all switched to a postnatal vitamins? None of the stores or drug stores near me sell postnatals, so I would have to order them offline. Which isn't a huge deal to me, but since prenatals are more readily available it would just be a little more convenient. But I obviously would rather do whichever is better from a nursing standpoint.
Avatar f tn fenugreek! it's an all natural supplement you can buy anywhere that they sell extended vitamins, perfectly safe for nursing babies and it's helped moms for generations, and a lot of my friends told me about it, it's actually one of the ingredients in mothers milk tea.
Avatar f tn If I have been feeling low, I stay home for a dedicated milk increase day - taking it easy and nursing more than usual. And try not to stress about it. That has a negative impact on supply.
Avatar n tn I meant to say that azithromycin is safe and effective in nursing mothers, with no adverse effects for the child.
Avatar n tn My first was tough, but my daughter broke my tailbone on the way out, so that was most of it, second two not so bad. I had bleeding with each of mine for a couple weeks, and for me it was quite a bit heavier then my period for the first week then slowed down. I got a few stitches, but the healing want to rough, a good idea is to make ice packs out of newborn diapers, and wear them like a pad, helps so much. Also just keep as clean as possible.
8106960 tn?1396643389 I started full time college classes when my son was 6 months old. I was in a nursing program so classes were on campus and clinical were at any one of five medical facilities within an hour's drive. My brother watched my son one day a week, my bf changed his work schedule to be able to stay home with him one day a week, and he went to an in-home daycare the rest of the week. I was in school for 2.5 years, just graduated in December having earned my degree as an RN.

668044 tn?1225913014 I have been taking the Enfamil DHA supplements for pregnant and nursing mothers. I think it is a good idea to take them if you aren't sure you are getting enough omega- 3 in your diet.
Avatar f tn Try drinking mothers milk tea. It's supposed to help with lactation, but idk if it would help completely. If baby isn't nursing directly from the nipple you might want to try that more often too.
Avatar f tn When you are getting further along, it's easy to get overly excited about dumb stuff. So for me at 32+2, I got excited when I found nursing bras at walmart! Walmart doesn't have much for breastfeeding mothers and you usually have to go spend a lot of money at specialty baby stores etc... so to find what I needed for cheap, yeah I got excited. Does anyone know other places I can find nursing bras and clothes for cheap?
Avatar f tn i was told to continue with the prenatal vitamins while nursing... also to give baby vitamin D daily as baby may not recieve enough from you....
Avatar f tn Just nursing whenever baby wants it, and eating well and staying hydrated. Your body will continue to make it as long as you need it! If you want you can get mothers milk tea. But you should be fine without it too.
Avatar n tn I will soon be nursing my second child, I'm due any day and I have chronic hypertension. You should already be taking a pregnancy safe medication for hypertension and if what you're taking now is not safe for nursing, then your doctor will change your meds after you have rhe baby. Just make sure he or she knows that you are planning on nursing at your next appointment and they should be able to answer any questions you have.
Avatar f tn You're suppose to continue them straight through into breastfeeding

Avatar n tn You could ask a neurologist about a referral for physical rehabilitation. Sometimes such as after a stroke the area of the brain affected can regain partial functioning or other areas of the brain compensate for it. Also in a standard physical sense a person can help stabilize and strengthen functioning with balance and coordination. A physician and rehabilitation specialist would be able to inform you of the clinical specifics of this.
Avatar f tn The human body metabolizes alcohol just as quickly in milk as it does in the bloodstream. What are you talking about, "release it"?? Do you use leeches to get booze out of your blood before driving, too? That's not how it works. You don't have to throw away your milk. If you are buzzed, you should not be nursing. If you have one drink, you can nurse your baby the next time your baby is hungry.
