It helps to detoxify and get rid of impurities from skin. Vitamin E helps in acne breakouts and lightening of scars. Zinc and omega 3 fatty acids are also good for skin. Avatar f tn This is an excellent question. Vitamins and isotretinoin can be tricky. B12 in general can actually be traced to acne flare ups. Isotretinoin can decrease B12 levels. Low B12 can be problematic. But generally is isn't recommended (B12) to be taken with Isotretinoin very often. I am glad you are followed by a doctor, is he the one who prescribed the isotretinioin? And why are you having the B12 added? I would talk to them about it as well as ask your usual pharmacist.
Avatar n tn Birth control pills do wonders for my acne. As long as I'm on them, my acne is reduce by 99%, and I generally have a clear face, except for an occasional very mild flair up around my period. However, a couple of days ago I started getting zits. Today I asked myself what have I done differently in the past couple of days. Then it hit me! I started taking fish oil capsules and B-Complex vitamin tablets 3 days ago!
Avatar n tn a) overwashing/exfoliating, or b) consuming too much peanut/almond butter or oil-based vitamins and supplements. Working out as you know is great for the skin as long as you are sure to wash the sweat from your skin afterwards. Think about what changed when you turned 20-- changes in your diet, cleansing routine and intake of any medications or vitamins.

Avatar m tn Vitamin B 5 research and acne, clogged pores. There's a lot of interesting proven points, materials online available. I'm 31 female have fair to medium skin tone, very oily skin( after lunch hours, can slide on my face a few meters it gets that oily), still suffering with adult face/body acne.
Avatar n tn I agree- I dont think think a lack of vitamins would cause acne- but it doesnt hurt to take vitamins just for healthy living! I use and love proactiv. I'm a 24/f and I also suffer from breakouts and proactiv works really well. Try drinking a lot of water too- it really helps clear up your skin! I know accutane works- but I also know a lot of people who have suffered some adverse reactions from it. i would search www.adverse-drug-reaction.
Avatar f tn Thank you! Same happened to me. I mean I had some acne before but it wasn't that bad, like most people have. But after having B12 injections my face became unrecognizable in short period of time. I have been using both supplements and after that injections, now I am scared to take even oral supplements. I am not a vegetarian but I don't eat much meat, I also avoid cheese, eggs, milk and yogurt all because my dermatologist told me that these products can cause acne (except meat).
Avatar n tn I started taking several types of vitamins like Vitamin A, primrose, Vitamin B to help, but so far my acne seems to be getting worse. I am so frustrated. I have been on accutane twice. Does anyone have any suggestions to help improve my acne? I just feel so depressed with my skin breaking out. Thanks.
Avatar n tn Hello, A complete evaluation is necessary for determining the correct cause of your symptoms.Mesigyna can cause menstrual irregularities, acne, weight gain/loss, headaches and nausea and many more side effects. Only a complete history and physical examination can determine whether the symptoms experienced by you are due to the contraceptive injection or some other cause. It is suggested to consult a doctor and get evaluated.
Avatar f tn ✰ Eat healthier; Avoid all fatty or sugary food and drinks. ✰ Omega3; Helps maintain healthy skin (prevents acne, too!), hair and nails. Most easily found in salmon, cod, and tuna, but if you aren't a fan of fish supplement tablets work just as well! ✰ Milk is not your friend; Milk contains certain hormones that can cause acne breakouts. That doesn't mean that you should not drink milk all together, just don't drink more than a glass of milk a day.
10028419 tn?1416841704 Im guessing its my hormones from the pregnancy and maybe my vitamins because biotin has always broke me out. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do or what can help my problem? I use Olay cleanser and I recently stopped using my clean and clean moisturizer cause I felt like it was making it works. Help!!
Avatar m tn THANKS FOR THE ADVISE, I'LL CHECK IT OUT. AND THANKS FOR THE INFO ON LATE ACNE PROBLEMS......MAYBE IT'S ENVIORMENTAL.
698356 tn?1240150727 I know the endocrine system is connected and relies on gastrointestinal functions (specifically absorption of vitamins and minerals) to work properly. I'm looking for a root cause. I've been treating symptom after symptom for over a decade. I've never had regular menstrual cycles and have been on birth control for nearly a decade to regulate them.
Avatar f tn I have tried acne products from a to z, herbal vitamins, regular vitamins, changing my diet, have done hours of research on acne, and have tried hormon regulaters. I have a doctors appointment coming up I will post what they tell me and the options they give me.
Avatar f tn So my dh and I have been ttc for a few months now. We had a mc last November and really hope to be pregnant soon :) My last af was on April 26th so I am due in about a week. Lately I have had symptoms of: sore breasts especially nipples (and I never get sore boobs, not even with my miss last year), been feeling a little nauseous at night and sometimes the morning, gotten dizzy a few times, tires all the time and almost can't get up in thE morning!
Avatar m tn This is normal with B vitamins. You will notice this happens if you use nutrtional yeast, too.
Avatar n tn Hello. I have Acne. Not much. How can I get rid of it? What best works?
Avatar m tn Acne along the jawline and the neck and back indicate a hormonal imbalance for women. Typically, men get acne in those areas. There is no one answer for everyone. The first food to get rid of, in my opinion, is cow's milk products. That is the food that gives my daughter acne in those areas. My daughter needed to get several things out of her diet to cure her acne. It's not easy for her and every time she cheats, she gets flare ups.
Avatar n tn Hi, I had acne from puberty until about age 30 when I heard that zinc deficiency can cause acne. I rushed out and bought zinc supplement tablets and my acne cleared up and has never returned!
