6807839 tn?1386436725 Oh and my doctor said to try to take them but iv already tried them all and they just make me sick so I don't take them, they did an ultrasound and baby was growing right on track and I haven't had any of the prenatals, but I will be taking them when I start breastfeeding. But my doctor knows I don't take them.
Avatar f tn Fiber can cause vitamins to not absorb, as it can act as a coating to the intestines, so it is best to not take vitamins before fiber. Iron is especially not absorbed well with fiber. Probiotics are taken with meals and sometimes before a meal, usually about 20 minutes. Digestive enzymes are taken with meals as well, for best effect. Stimulating vitamins, such as vitamin C, should not be taken before bedtime, as it can keep a person awake.
Avatar f tn My doctor told me to take Flinstone Complete Vitamins... it has everything you need even the right amount of folic acid! They are smaller and chewable which is great because most prenatals are huge.
Avatar f tn The Best thing to do is talk to your Dr and find out what is best for you. My sister had High readings on blood levels and he wouldn't let her take anthing but a multi vitamin befor she got Prego, and for me, I needed a Multi and Folic Acid. Everyone is different and I think it's best to talk to your Dr for the correct Answer that is best for you.
1308014 tn?1273391636 Yes Ive heard that pineapple helps... and watermelon (for the guy too)... best thing you can do is chart your ovulation.... take your (basal body) temperature (bbt) every morning.... when we ovulate our body temp rises about half a degree (so best to use a digital thermometer)... in practise, once you know when you ovuate you should start doing the baby dance a few days leading up to and during your fertile days...
Avatar f tn Yessur, vitamins is okay to take.. As longs they has no irons.
Avatar f tn It bothers me to see woman who think prenatals are only for the mother and that's not true. There is a major benefit to the fetus. Yes, there have been momma's that didn't take prenatals & got lucky that nothing was immediately was wrong with their babies, but recent studies have shown, & I already spoke to my doctor about this, but recent studies have shown that a lack of folic acid, 1000mg, has been linked to autism in boys.

7552771 tn?1469929649 I bought it at walmart. It was in the section where they sell fish oil pills so in the vitamin isle. Its the brand spring valley its a green bottle with a yellow label. But it wasn't next to all the other pills it was with the vitamins so make sure to ask someone. It was only 6$ for 3 weeks worth. And I'll be taking 2 orally and one vaginally.
Avatar f tn No sense in disrupting your sleep to get up to take the med and then try to go back to sleep. besides the T3 is ramping up while you are sleeping and thus will be all used up that much sooner in the evening leaving you feeling sleepy most likely before bed. And the disruption of sleep makes that sleepiness that much worse. Just my opinion.
Avatar m tn it is not the vitamins dose we need to take but the serum levels we need to achieve.the dose must be personalized according to deficency, this is to achieve the best of possible results some vitamins like liposoluble can be taken without checking levels like for example vit b complex, vit c, glutathione and vit E http://www.lef.org/news/LefDailyNews.htm?
Avatar f tn finelly my doctor told me i may just simply dnt need to take them so i stoped and i feel so much beter now i even sleep better. To much vitamins is bad for ur body as well so as long ur blood test r fine i recomend not to take them just eat healthy... And maybe try only folic acid for first three month coz thats for ur baby's brain.
1346723 tn?1300718741 It is reasonable at that point to stop taking vitamins until the nausea has passed. If you really want to take some sort of vitamin, a children's chewable kind sometimes goes down easier. The downside to vitamin supplementation It's unhealthy to take more than one multivitamin a day. If you need more of a specific nutrient, take an extra amount of that ingredient only. It is not true that if a small dose of something is good for mother and baby, more is better.
Avatar f tn I feel soooo selfish because I am so sick from the time my eyes open to the time I go to sleep. I just can't force my self to tame my prenatal vitamins. I forced my self to a couple days but they made me feel worse :(( I take the sour gummy kind they taste like sour patch kids & I have always hatedddddd sour patch kids. I can't even think of them they make me want to get sick! I want to buy the pill kind!
1276121 tn?1420860600 tamtam306, Prenatels as in the vitamins you take while you are pregnant. My cycles were 27-28 days prior to last pregnancy and d&c, in which id also show positive on hpt by day 28. Which is why i thought i may show positive today but did not.

10216428 tn?1408618980 I'm not sure but back in the day I'm sure women didn't have oral vitamins to take daily other than food. I'm sure you'll be fine. (By the way, I'm 34 weeks aswell and same happens to me.. I keep forgetting probably because I'm always in a rush so I've been taking it right before bed. Working while pregnant *****..) Good luck with everything.
Avatar f tn You can take prenatal vitamins before you even conceive so go ahead and get yourself a nice big bottle. I buy mine at Sam's Club because I get more for the $$$.
