t had any obvious side effects so I have stayed on it in hopes that I will find an addition drug/supplement that may work with the venlafaxine to reduce my fatigue and other POTS symptoms.
I want to warn you, though, that getting on venlafaxine is not too hard, but getting off of it is very difficult. I was on it years ago for depression and the withdrawal symptoms took me about a month to get through.
Can you take Melatonin and Nyquil with Venlafaxine ER and Lorazepam, or would that be a big mistake? I need sleep desparately!!!!
I have also started with severe tiredness and confusion since I have been prescribed with with 150 mg of venlafaxine. I am struggling to cope with household and work functions and feel my brain is not able to concentrate I also feel detached. I have been dizzy and had severe bod tremors. Feel zombie like. Could the medication be causing this or making my existing condition worse.
I entered all of the drugs at once and found no interactions between the Psych meds and the Hep C meds except minor interactions between Citalopram and the Protease Inhibitors. Also a warning about seisure risk with Wellbutrin and Pegasys, but many of us are on those 2 meds and we are fine. They just want it monitored.
Of course, because I entered al of them at once, reactions between the psych meds showed up, but you would not taking all of them anyway, just one and the Hep C meds.

I was developing glaucoma (early stages) from steroids. I stopped the steroids and the condition resolved itself. Stop the steroids if you can. I was using Advair for COPD. There were many bad side effects. But I found that I actually got better results using natural remedies. No side effects. If COPD is your problem look to natural alternatives.
It seems that glaucoma is listed as a possible side effect for just about every prescription medication these days. I am taking Remeron (mirtazapine, for anxiety and insomnia) and, of course, glaucoma is listed. How big a threat is this? Do I stop taking the pills? I don't have glaucoma and last check-up had healthy optic nerves, although moderate cupping. it's not listed as a common side effect, but it is mentioned.
In general, the newer antidepressants (SSRI and SNRI) do not prolong QT interval so much. A possible exception is citalopram (and escitalopram).
As far as I know, paroxetine and vortioxetine are fairly safe. How long is your QT interval?
So I'm currently taking 75mg venlafaxine and 15mg mirtazapine the mirtazapine is great doing its job for the night time anxiety it's more than enough to calm me and help me sleep the night but my concern is the venlafaxine it's causing me stomach upset and feelings of low mood iv been taking this combo since beginning of December whilst some what it has levelled me out to the state I was currently in I don't feel as tho the venlafaxine is helping anymore as Iv been on it before a
) so lets say your doc prescribed you 150Mgs of Venlafaxine a day. Then you could break that tab in half and take one in morning and one around 4:00pm. Thus effectivly keeping a steady stream of the medication in your body.
I just say Effexor XR is better because it does that for you and you need not worry about it.
You also need to check if Generic Effexor XR is avalible in your area of the world.
I also went to my eye doc for a gulag check up and he said I have glaucoma and optic nerve damage. I am 53 and glaucoma does NOT run in my family,(I am the first in my family). He said I need to see a specialist this week. I m also seeing a specialist for my ear this week. My ear doc said he is "very suspicious ". He wanted to know more as to why I was Boeing tested for ms and why I am having ear trouble, low vitamin D, headaches and now glaucoma .
