m male 21 and a month a ago or so i have had this pain inside my neck at first i thought it was due to maybe a cold i had gotten better of but the cold and also diagnosed with bronchitis in the lungs is now long gone and i still continue to have pain in my throat lately i have notice recently i have to consistently clear my throat and notice wheezing and coughing but only a few times though put the day and sometimes i feel my voice change.
I have noticed on/off for several years that I get a sharp buzzing pain on the left side of my head in the throat area. It happens once in a great while where I will be fine one minute and then all of a sudden I get this sharp buzzing pain, then after a few seconds it goes away. I have only had this about 1-2x every 6months-1year but when it comes it is really painful and scares me. No other symptoms.
Sometimes I have throat pain. I have had this a lot of my life, it comes and goes, sometimes it will stay away as long as a year or so, but somehow it manages to come back. Do you think that this could be some type of cancer of the throat? I did have a lot of sore throats when I was younger. But I don't seem to have as many of them now, but I do have the tightness problem.

help me....so what is it? cancer? or ...
t complain about pain. Actually his cancer was on his tongue also back of his throat too. Dr. could not remove it by surgry. He snores but not as bad. He still has very bad breathe is that due to the cancer?
The lump is on his groin area. Size of a quarter. Very hard, no redness and doesn't seem to hurt.
I have had for a few months sharp, severe pain in upper throat on swallowing salad dressing or mayonnaise that has vinegar or fruit juice in it. No other symptoms. I find only supraglotteal cancer listed when I look on the Net for what this can be a symptom of. My ENT doctor had me get a barium swallow (stomach through larynx or most of larynx) which looked normal, and will be doing a more thorough exam (down-through-the-nose tube light, in-office); my mouth looked normal enough.

If they suspected throat cancer, I am sure they'd do the necessary tests to check on that diagnosis. It started as a feeling of lump in my throat (couldnt feel an actual lump, just a sensation) and then went on to pain in upper throat behind the soft palate. Sometimes i have pain in my right ear. The pain is more pronounced on the right side. I have no other symptoms like headaches, fever, cold etc. The doctor seems to think its a baterial infection and has given antibiotics. The sore throat is more severe the moment i wake up in the morning and just before i go to bed.
Hi, i have had a pain in my right hand side of adams apple only when i swallow for about 3 weeks. This went last week and i had no symptoms apart from 2 cankers come up on my tongue which were very sore. This morning i woke and the pain i had before has now started slightly on the left hand side of the adams apple. As i say it does not hurt unless i swallow when it feels uncomfortable. Also my glands in my neck have been swollen for about 4 weeks now.
Are these signs of oral or throat cancer?
10 days before I got sharp pain in my neck and later on I always feel there something stuck in my throat and later on pain in righ side of the neck and now having ear pain with it ...I checked up with doctor he has given me some medicine and said take medicine and show me after 10 days if again same problem then we need to do sonography.... Can this be throat cancer i smoke and now I quit ....
my throat has been hurting and now i looked in it and deep in there i see a pink lump its not my tonsils i know what they look like its more in the middle everytime i eat i vomit it back up i feel i have cold sweats at night and im only 17 so im not thinking cancer but i do smoke and have smoked for a while now someone please just give me an answer
When i visited him again he noticed that the swelling got better but i mentioned that i had some pain on the right side of my throat, mostly when swallowing(slight pain). He prescribed antibiotics which didn't make much of a difference(I believe it was Fluconazole).
So, 3 months after, i have some sense of a tight throat and a little bit of throat pain that seems to get a little stronger at night and gets better during the day.
doesn't sound at all like throat cancer. give strep time to clear up .
have you ahd your gardasil hpv shot series yet?
I m having ear pain and sore throat and also have sore mouth, my tounge, upper area of mouth and also hav pain behind the ears...been like this for a week now. I m worried as I had a pap smear wich came back with hpv and ascus and I also hav large fibroids wich I m getting treatment for. My great worry now is that is this sore throat related to hpv as hpv can also cause head and neck cancer. I will be glad if someone can help me on it.
Hello im typing today because ive been smoking for the past 10 months about 5 cigarretes daily but the last two months i increased my cigarrete intake and wasnt eating right due to some stressful days i was going thru , so ive notice this past month of april that i have like a lump in my throat and i havent been having regular bowel movents is like im constipated and im really concerned because i think i might have throat cancer.
For about a month now I have had the feeling of something stuck in my throat that never goes away, It is worse in the mornings after lying down, When I clean my teeth I have the need to gag.I tried making myself throw up thinking its going to come off but it doesn't change a thing...Even if i try drinking lots of water... I do not have any pain but it doesn't feel normal. Do I have Throat cancer? Is it something i should be worried of?
It helped to calm my fears and he talks about the same article I read which states high strain hpv (not the kind causing warts but the kind causing cervical cancer) is now a big factor in the rise of throat cancer. According to him less than 5% of people with high strain develop throat cancer. I can rest a little better now. Thanks again.
I went to see an ENT and he did a scope (went in through the nose and looked down at the throat), I had a CT of the throat, and an Ultrasound of my thryroid and a Upper GI Series (Barium Swallow). There was nothing he could see from the scoping, the CT came back negative, the Barium swallow showed mild to moderate acid reflux, and the ultrasound showed nodules (which the doc said was nothing to worry about). All in all everything that was done did not show any type of mass or obstruction.
I suggest you see an Ear nose and throat specialist. They will be able to take a look in your nasal area as well as in your throat. So suggest to your family doctor you would like to see your local specialist.
