Avatar f tn Well, the prognosis depends on the sage of the cancer. In early stages anal cancer is almost curable while the later stages have a grim prognosis. I would suggest discussing this in detail with his treating doctor. Hope this is useful. Take care!

A stomach cancer can grow very large before it starts causing other symptoms. In advanced stage there may be weight loss, blood in stools, weakness and fatigue etc.The early symptoms of gastric cancer may mimic peptic ulcer. It is best to get tested as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the majority of cases are found when it has spread to other organs, lymph nodes, etc. Then, the disease does become chronic and you do what you have to do to keep alive. Everyday newer meds are coming on the market. A better blood test will be available in the future. For now, it's on and off chemo.
