Avatar f tn Hi, I would recommend you stop all sugar, breads, rices, fizzy drinks. Any carb intake should be done before 13:00. Excercise vigourously and you definitely see results. I have lost 9kgs in 4 weeks so far.

Avatar m tn If you want to reduce fat and keep it off, then it will take some time. I won't assurance 5-10 pounds weight loss in a week or two weeks’ time, but I will say you can reasonably reduce 1-2 pounds of body fat a week, and build muscle at the same rate. You can’t put the body weight on overnight instantaneously, and therefore it's not going to magically disappear overnight.

But Greeks don't sit around eating this yoghurt, which is prevalent in the Mediterranean region, they mostly use it as a dipping condiment or for cooking. Dairy can also be problematic, as it is rich in calcium but very low in magnesium, so if you overdo it you will leach the magnesium out of your system.

Avatar f tn The most important things for weight loss is to calculate BMI and calorie intake requirement. Diet should be planned with more proteins and fibre, less carbohydrates and fat. On an average 2-3 kilos should be lost in a month. You should right and healthy. Never skip a meal. Also a fitness regime needs to be fixed. 1007532 tn?1332767926 Yep MrsPincince is totally right...you can have tuna in moderation - once a week a sandwich won't hurt you, maybe even twice...you should avoid raw seafood and deli meat that may be suspicious (if it isn't VERY fresh, avoid it)... limit your caffeine to less than 350mg a day...depending on the coffee or soda you ingest that's approximately 7-9 cans of soda or 1-3 cups of coffee.

Avatar f tn I hate to answer questions with more questions, but --- Do you know for sure that you have thyroid issues? If so, why aren't you being treated for them? What tests have been done and what are the results, along with the lab's reference ranges? We all react differently to meds, foods, etc and while some people do well with a gluten free diet, my doctor told me not to bother with it because I'm not gluten sensitive. I do well with whole grains.
Avatar f tn If you want a safe weight loss then you should include water in your weight loss plan along with exercise. Drink a glass of water every time you want to eat snack or anything unhealthy. It help in controlling your eating habits.
Avatar f tn You don't lose 20 lbs in 15 days, even with a gym membership and weights. You'd have to cut your calories way too much to do that in a healthy manner. There just really is no short cut to healthy weight loss. It's one of those things that we have to work at, on an ongoing basis, not just when we have a special event or reason for losing weight. Eating healthy foods in proper proportions and getting moderate exercise are the best ways to lose weight, but it takes time.
Avatar f tn Are you underweight, average weight or over weight? If you fall in either of the last two, I wouldn't worry, its not uncommon to lose weight. I'm down 2 or 3 lbs, at 8 weeks. I'm over weight so losing isn't unexpected, plus I've been sick to my stomach.
Avatar f tn You are doing what so many people have done and most have had the same sad result – no weight loss. Sometimes, they have even gained more weight. Please know that exercise is not the main contributor to weight loss. In fact, exercise is more likely to make you hungry (hence the phrase ‘to work up an appetite’) so that you may end up eating more and thus gaining more weight. The way you describe your eating behavior makes me wonder if you have an eating disorder, such as bulimia.
