Carbohydrates, fats and proteins are all digested in a particular order and knowing this order is the key to any
weight loss. If you eat a meal of steak, gravy and chips (not the best choice) the carbohydrates from the meal will be digested first and used for energy, the rest will be stored. The human body only uses what it needs at one time, and stores the rest. If you engage in a high protein diet, your body will use stored body fat for energy as it will not have carbohydrates.
