Avatar f tn and often put on more than you were initially. This is yoyo dieting, aim for the gradual weight loss for long term sustainability and well being.
Avatar n tn 10 kg is a lot to lose in a month or two. There is no good diet to lose that much weight, that quickly.
Avatar f tn Because some research has shown that women with PCOS are insulin resistant, we need to really watch our sugar intake, while eating LOTs of raw, whole, live fruits, veggies, and superfoods..This along with exercise, stress reduction, (yoga is the best for me) and supplements have been shown to help other women.. I have been pretty down lately, due to the hair loss and skin problems, and have yet to give the natural path a complete go of it.
Avatar n tn I lost 10 lbs my first trimester, don't worry too much about it, if anything it gives you a bit of grace room for weight gain later lol
Avatar f tn Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs/week, so it's feasible to lose 10 lbs in a month. Whether it's healthy or not, depends on how you do it. If you simply calculate your daily caloric needs and cut your intake to that, eating healthy food and getting a reasonable amount of exercise, then it's healthy. If you're going to take drugs or weight loss supplements and try starving yourself, it won't be healthy.
Avatar f tn I agree that losing 10 kg in a month is too much. Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs /week, which is 8-10 pounds/month; you're looking to lose twice that. Of course, we'd all like to lose our weight right away, but first off, it doesn't happen that easily, secondly, in order to do it, we'd have to starve ourselves and as soon as we start eating again, we gain it all back. Not good.
Avatar n tn Its normal for some women to lose weight in the first trimester.
Avatar f tn Please don't go crazy about weight loss..and drinking only tea for breakfast is extremely unhealthy! Your body is super hungry after a whole night fast...n then when you give it tea (anything acidic) it feels you're starving and starts storing fat..fat is like cotton, more volume and less weight! so you might see weight loss, but not much inch loss.just have a healthy breakfast,a fruit as snack after about 2 hours, lunch and another snack after 2 hours and keep it light for dinner...
Avatar f tn Losing 40 pounds by Sep 14 is a pretty tough goal; that's only 12 weeks away. Safe weight loss is 1-2 pounds/week; you'd have to plan on losing a little over 3 pounds/week and wouldn't be able to backslide a bit. I think your goal is a bit optimistic. You should first check to make sure you don't have an medical issues that might prevent you from losing weight, such as hypothyroidism or insulin resistance. Your doctor can order some simple blood tests.
Avatar n tn That's normal, you will pick up the weight for the baby but no worries it's not going to stay on when the baby comes.
Avatar f tn Also giving birth probably lost about 10 pounds or more when you count baby weight, the fluid and the extra blood in your body returning to a normal amount, your uterus also shrinking, and the placenta.
Avatar f tn This is my first baby, im am 13 weeks and under my pre pregnancy weight! By week 10 I had loss 3-4kgs but now it has gone up slightly although I am still around 2kgs under my pre pregnancy weight. Should I be worried? Has this happened to anyone else?
10161345 tn?1488138652 So according to my calculations using the standard by a ob's office, I should be literally six weeks pregnant today. I've been losing weight slowly but steadily for 2 years, however I'm a little concerned. During the actual weeks since estimated conception dates, I've actually lost another 4 lbs. Just some nausea, and dizziness mostly, no vomiting and no huge changes in appetite or lifestyle. Anyone familiar with this?
Avatar f tn Is it normal that I haven't gained any weight ? I've lost like almost 10 pounds . First time when I found out I was pregnant I weighted 168 now I weigh 160 & I'm 17 weeks already . I eat so much but I can't gain nothing . I'm getting worried about that ... help ??
Avatar f tn My pre pregnancy weight was 100 now im 10 wks and i lost 4 pounds.... I should be gaining weight right?? Any help..
Avatar f tn I couldnt do anything, could barely walk without being in back and knee pain. now, i am not thin but over 150lbs lighter for almost 10 years and lovin' life and feel great. I am not on any meds and healthy and happy. Decide what you want and do it, whatever it is. good luck and be well.
Avatar f tn No, assuming that you don't have an eating disorder, this is not normal unless you retain a lot of fluid, which you shouldn't, at your age ......... It sounds like you could be suffering from an overactive thyroid; have you ever had thyroid function tested? Get the following tests: TSH, Free T3 and Free T4, plus TSI; and get checked for Type I diabetes........ these are 2 major health issues that cause weight loss....... don't panic, but get tested for both asap....
