Suboxone withdrawal fatigue

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone withdrawal fatigue

suboxone

Avatar f tn I quit taking Suboxone on Feb. 1st. The withdrawal was so intense I started taking pills again on the 8th day off of it. I did them for about 2 months and detoxed off of them. I'm not sure how long the suboxone withdrawal lasts but I'm sure it's not effecting me at this point. I absolutely feel like crap. I am so tired all of the time!
Avatar n tn The idea is the patch keeps you from feeling the effects of the suboxone withdrawal. My Doctor said it takes on average three months for suboxone to leave the blood stream. In my case it took longer. I've been off suboxone since may 2008, and off fentanyl since august 2008. I'm still a wreck, fatigue, loose stoole, depression, anxiety, insomnia, constant sneezing, stuffy nose, watery eyes, etc....I've been off of everything for one month, and things got worse before they got better.
434196 tn?1206385870 Has anyone gotten off suboxone without terrible withdrawals? I have been on for over three months and reading everyones post about suboxone is really freaking me out. From what my doctor says, if you wean down slow enough there should be little to no withdrawals.
Avatar n tn There will be no withdrawal with the Suboxone since you are only on it for such a short period. I was on it 16 days, and I had no withdrawal. So, once the physical is over, be very careful of the mental withdrawal, i.e., cravings..etc. You should have a plan in place to deal with that.
Avatar m tn I recently posted a youtube video in reply to the people who believe that Suboxone withdrawal is 'the worst thing ever', in spite of 30 years of experience with the drug that shows otherwise when the people are 'blinded' to what they are taking. As I say to them, and as I said in my video, opiate withdrawal takes a long time! Methadone withdrawal is known to take months-- up to 6 months in some cases.
Avatar m tn I have been on suboxone for 3 years and i want off very much but i am scared im now on 1mg a day but somedays take more i have been reading so many comments about how long it takes to feel normal again and just think how did they deal with everyday life feeling that way for so long. Are the withdrawals less intense if u taper off? Is there anyone who has had a some what easier withdrawal experience?
Avatar n tn my bosses whom are good friends of mine and know the full story of my drug problem and how i went on treatment and now i am going thru withdrawal off the damn medicine they put me on to stop using (suboxone) and they told me they noticed a considerable improvement today... which is awesome. 4mg xanax for $10 isnt the best price, since i dont have healthcare it might of even cost me more to go thru a doctor, but there is not really a price on making it thru this withdraw..!
Avatar n tn How long will suboxone withdrawal last? I am at 39 days off suboxone and still experiencing mild withdrawal. I was on sub. for around 2 1/2 yrs. and jumped off at 12mg. It is definitely not as bad as the first few weeks but this is lasting forever. I had to withdraw from college this quarter and haven't been back to work for a while. Is anyone going through the same situation?
Avatar m tn Has anyone else felt this extreme debilitating fatigue from getting weaned off opiates or opiate withdrawal? Is there anything I can do that will lessen it?
Avatar n tn I jumped at 1mg and had some pretty severe withdrawal for a while. Im told that the withdrawal lasts so long coming off suboxone due to the long half life-- It stays in your system for a while after you take your last dose. I wont lie to you - it may be really tough the first 2 weeks. I found medhelp on day 8 and posted a panicked message not unlike yours begging anyone to tell me how long. And many came by to help thankfully.
Avatar f tn I know alot of people who have had to withdrawal off of suboxone,, not mention abuse it. Well I know you are getting this from a DR that specializes in this so I would talk to them about going off suboxone.. It really has been my experience that when people withdrawal off of opiates it is best done cold turkey. I know it really *****, but you can't die from it. I have seen many people get addicted to methadone and suboxone..
Avatar f tn There are over the counter sleeping aid, such as Valerian or Melatonin that I sometimes recommend for insomnia related to withdrawals, but I suggest that you find a physician who you can speak honestly and openly with, and who will help you temporize such symptoms as depression and insomnia that may linger after withdrawal from Suboxone for as long as a few months. Good luck to you.
774679 tn?1235502124 I have been on Subutex and suboxone for 6 yrs now and am on my 17th day of withdrawal. I started on Subutex for 2 yrs then for 4yrs have been on Suboxone. I didnt evan start withdrawing untill dat 6 and now I am at day 17 I am still withdrawling and am confused. I'm being strong and pushing myself yet I need some help with some sort of time line, as without hope I feel as if this will never end.
Avatar f tn I am also aware of the many research studies that demonstrate less-severe withdrawal from Suboxone compared to withdrawal from agonists in 'blinded' research trials. Finally, a number of treatment centers use Suboxone as a 'tapering agent' to help people get through opiate withdrawal. Again, I talk in greater detail on the blog, but one final comment: the withdrawal is unusual in several aspects from what people usually expect.
Avatar f tn I would be reluctant to go off any opiate while on interferon therapy; the risk of depression from the interferon is quite high, and the opiate withdrawal could precipitate a very serious depression that requires stopping treatment for the hep C. There are a number of reasons people have trouble stopping Suboxone; the biggest reason is because it is hard to stop ANY opiate, including Suboxone.
Avatar f tn hello, i've been on and off suboxone for about two years...started with oxycontin which lead to smoking heroin and some suboxone use scattered in between. i was never really serious about quitting pills/H until the beginning of this year so i went to a doc and got a prescription for subs. i've been taking them for the last few months and recently decided not to refill my script. so, i tapered down to a nibble a day and was doing that for a couple weeks...
Avatar f tn I detoxed off methadone via suboxone, at a detox hospital, a week and a half ago and am still having awful side effects. The worst is feeling lethargic and not being able to do anything - I just have zero energy. Is this normal?? When will it end?? I also had pneumonia in the middle of the detox that might be attributing to this but just not sure. Any help would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn Hey, have been dependant on methadone/ suboxone /subutex /methadone for 13 years. I returned to methadone as was best option during pregnancy.(fortunately baby had no withdrawal symptoms). Haven't used heroin for about 5 years but so scared of withdrawal, thought i would be on one of the above for life. Baby now 19mths & have been withdrawing slowly so can still fulfill parental (single). I am currently on 4mg and have conflicting info regarding what to do next.
Avatar n tn on it like I was wasting away on the inside (Fatigue, etc).. Quitting suboxone was the single hardest thing Ive ever had to experience in my 29 years. That being said, it really opened my eyes up to not wanting to use ever again! Many doctors do condone staying on a long time, my doc even said he has people on a low dose forever.. in my opinion -- to each his own. If that is what works for someone - that is great.
Avatar m tn How long were you on boxs? I've been in the clinic for 2 weeks and doing one a day. Will I detox?
Avatar f tn Fever, pain, chills, fatigue, insomnia. I am trying b6 , coconut water, Motrin, Xanax. Starting day three nothing is helping. Any suggestions. I can't stay down in bed a week.
Avatar m tn Tramadol might help with withdrawls but it's not a narcotic soo I dunno man. But I was on about 10 10mg hydrocodone ,1 to 2 40 mg oxys, about 2-5 somas a day, mind it if I made more money at work that week( commission job) it was significantly more that that, with fentanyl suckers/ patches, the 100mcg, oxymorphone, roxys, ect. But I got on suboxone, and that helped with the withdrawls better than anything and it's not methadone.
Avatar m tn I finally decided to attempt to stop using Suboxone. When I first took it you had to be a state of withdrawal. It did help some but still had fatigue and depression. I am imagining that it is not entirely helping due to the way that Tramadol affects serotonin and noripinephrine. Does anyone know of a way to use another drug to successfully quit tramadol?
Avatar f tn OMG how frustrating. My actual sub doctor did not tell me I wouldn't but said I would have 'Little to Zero" withdrawal. There is nothing like being told severe physical withdrawal symptoms are all in your head.
Avatar m tn Hey I'm on suboxone, I've been on it for almost 2 years now... Were just getting ready to tapper.. Kinda scared of what your CURRENTLY going threw... Did you just start tappering down?
Avatar m tn It was really the best thing to help me deal with post accute withdrawal issues (depression/fatigue). Good luck and God bless.
