Suboxone and fatigue

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone and fatigue

suboxone

Avatar f tn I HAVE BEEN OFF SUBOXONE SINCE JULY 1 AND STILL FIGHTING THE FATIGUE AND LACK OF DRIVE TO DO ANYTHING. I STARTED TAKING SUPPLEMENTS ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO AND STARTED WALKING A FEW DAYS AGO BUT THE FATIGUE SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE INSTEAD OF BETTER. IS THIS NORMAL? I THOUGHT I WOULD BE OVER THIS PART BY NOW. IT IS MAKEING ME CRAZY AND DEPRESSED. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO DO WOULD BE GREATLEY APPRECIATED.
Avatar n tn I've been on suboxone 16mg for 2 weks now and everytime I sit down I doze off for a few seconds. Does this happen to anyone else?
Avatar f tn This morning (Saturday), I woke with slight nausea, headache, and still extremely tired (as I described above.) I took my morning Suboxone, the nausea, headache, and fatigue are relieved. If the fatigue does not return, I can tolerate the present aches, hot flashes and sweats, (and even the slight anxiety if it remains slight enough).
Avatar n tn so pretty much a crumb, and the only withdrawals i got were headaches and fatigue. (though everyones experiences are different). And im now 48 days off suboxone and no relapses :D My doctor told me suboxone would be easier to come off than Methadone.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure that suboxone is the correct route for you to be honest. What worries me is the dose of valium that you're taking per day. You can't quit that cold turkey as it will cause seizures and could actually harm you. Methadone and suboxone aren't quit fix w/d meds is the deal. You can't take them for a few days during the w/d and then just put them down, they don't work like that.
Avatar f tn s been a battle for years with me. I was on methadone then went to suboxone and then hydrocodone. Its been between 5 and 6 years. I have all day fatigue!
434196 tn?1206385870 I have been on for over three months and reading everyones post about suboxone is really freaking me out. From what my doctor says, if you wean down slow enough there should be little to no withdrawals.
Avatar f tn ll try to help. But this is only from my experience. I took my last dose of suboxone on June 1st and have been clean ever since. I have had pretty bad withdrawal since then, but I'm sure that is because the buprenorphine in suboxone is still an opioid (partial opioid agonist). Basically your brain is no longer withdrawing from your drug of choice because you have substituted buprenorphine for that drug.
Avatar f tn I forgot to mention it was accompanied by nausea, weakness, fatigue, depression, and came and went but remained constant. I used laxatives and it seemed to help. Should I use laxatives or something regularly with this suboxone treatment?
Avatar f tn I know what you mean gsbestfriend, I know I don't play nice in my own head either- that's why I finally went and got myself some aftercare (as opposed to just putting down the pills and saying "See, I did it!" But anyways, I digress...one step at a time. Thomas Recipe. Enough said. I never made it far in the physical wd phase until I used it. I have to respectfully disagree with the above commenter, that you should find a strip of suboxone and cut it up. Um, no.
Avatar f tn I have been off of it for 31 days and STILL have depression, fatigue (BIG time), anxiety, headaches, crazy legs (restless leg syndrome).... horrible at night! Is it normal to still feel so sh***y after being off this nasty stuff for 31 days???!!! I look forward to your wisdom... and hopefully I'm not alone in this quandry... not that I want anyone to feel bad, just kinda getting worried that I will never feel better and something is very wrong. In advance I thank you! Take good care.
Avatar m tn The anxiety and panic attacks were rediculous. So far I am 10 days without suboxone and still do not feel myself. The anxiety has gone, but (and this is gonna sound weird) my skin is always sticky and clammy. If i lay down my shirt becomes soaking wet with sweat. Every night i wake up at 4am with a wet shirt and no matter how many times i shower , my skin still feels like that. This is definately from the suboxone cause i have had it since i stopped taking it.
Avatar f tn Thanks for your comment and well wishes. Yes, suboxone is being toted in the medical community as this miracle drug and advertised and sold to me that way.. Dont know anything other than it ***** and I guess we have to pay our dues no matter what. Thanks again. Ive been reading this forum for hours and its nice to communicate.
Avatar f tn You could ask your doc if it is ok to take suboxone with the new meds since it is a prescription and not a street drug. If suboxone is not compatible with the new meds then your doc can prescribe you with something else.
536882 tn?1225512859 I have had one patient (out of a couple hundred treated with Suboxone) who thought that he had leg edema from the Suboxone. We eventually changed to Subutex, then eventually stopped the Suboxone... and the edema persisted. I don't know if it was related to the Suboxone or not. In your case it started after several months... and I have just as hard a time deciding if there is a connection.
Avatar f tn I was in a car accident in '04 and had to have bones in my neck replaced. I have titanium plates, screws and rods and was on fentanyl for a long time. I, myself, decided I wanted a lesser pain med and was talked into suboxone by a Dr. Now, in the past 2 yrs I'm still on suboxone.
Avatar f tn If you become pregnant while taking SUBOXONE, alert your doctor immediately as there may be significant risks to you and your baby; your baby may have symptoms of withdrawal at birth. If you are pregnant or become pregnant while taking SUBOXONE, you should report it using the contact information provided below.* Before taking SUBOXONE, talk to your doctor if you are breast-feeding or plan to breast-feed. SUBOXONE can pass into your milk and may harm the baby.
Avatar n tn Anyone know what else I should be taking to get rid of the fatigue and leg cramps? By the way this is my 3rd day of no suboxone 10 days with no painkillers. Which was a relapse. Before that I hadn't touched painkillers in about 3 months which is how long i was on the suboxone. To be honest I really just want energy. I need to be there for my family and I can't even get off the couch. I drank a 12 ounce can of rockstar today and came home and fell asleep.
Avatar m tn hi, i am a suboxone user for 3 years and starting to taper down slowly. i am currently on 1mg morning and 1 mg evening. Yesterday i was prescribed tramadol by a different doctor for my pain and migraine. What i need to know is if it is OK to take tramadol while i am on suboxone? i am afraid that if i take tramadol tonight, the next morning when i dose my suboxone i will feel a very discomfort feeling or withdrawal.
Avatar m tn I have been on suboxone for 3 years and i want off very much but i am scared im now on 1mg a day but somedays take more i have been reading so many comments about how long it takes to feel normal again and just think how did they deal with everyday life feeling that way for so long. Are the withdrawals less intense if u taper off? Is there anyone who has had a some what easier withdrawal experience?
Avatar m tn I asked my doc if I could get back on it while taking Suboxone and he said yes and perscribed it to me again. My question is if I should be taking these two meds together or not? I know my doc perscribed them to me but I can't help but question if it's ok. Does anyone have any takes on this? I am taking 8mg Sub 2x daily and 30mg Adderall 2x daily right now.
Avatar n tn building blocks of protein and help heal nuerotransmitters...follow the thomas recipe and do not be afraid of overdosing on amino acids....
222369 tn?1274474635 I have mentioned my blog about Suboxone, Suboxone Talk Zone, where I talk about the theory behind Suboxone and the other things that are necessary to stay clean. Suboxone is no guarantee, and some people get into 'playing' with it, turning it into just another opiate. But if used correctly in concert with other recovery factors it can work quite well for many people.
Avatar f tn I have been on suboxone for 3 years. Yesterday, I had 2 teeth pulled and my mother in law gave me some tramadol. Without even thinking (and I think I was under the impression that it wasn’t an opioid) I took a 50mg. My question is.. when can I safely take my suboxone dose? I should also add that I took the tramadol at 1:30pm and it is now 9:00pm and I have not taken any of my next suboxone dose yet. I quickly realized I may have screwed up.
Avatar f tn I can't follow your original post. Are you taking both Diluadids and Suboxone and/or wanting to? Like TrayCee said, Suboxone's is primarily used for withdrawal. Are you seeing two different doctors?
Avatar m tn My concern is that even though I feel tremendously better than I did at the beginning stages of withdrawal, I still have mild symptoms (mild chills, fatigue, sneezing and runny nose). How long until I am back to normal? Will I reach a point where this is 100% behind me? I have heard and read about a "half life". Is it permanant or is there time allotment to expect it will be over? Thank you for reading and answering my post.
Avatar m tn hey have been taking suboxone for quite a bit at least a year and about 1 a day 8mg and decided to stop cold turkey due to the fact it is ruining my relationship with my wife and family who are way more important, what can I do to help with the worst of it which to me is the insomnia, restless legs, and fatigue, have to work. Tapering is not an option.
