Avatar f tn 55 into the test when I passed out. In that 4:55, I had frequent pvc's; 2 PVC couplets and 1 PVC triplet and my QRS segment of PVC's narrowed substantially with exercise, widening again in recovery (180 ms to 80 ms) which I was told was a problem.
Avatar n tn Although they are not cardiologists, they have significant training in cardiology. My first and third stress test were performed under the supervision of a family practice doctor and it was interpreted by a pathologists. The second was done by a cardiologists in a heart clinic away from my small home town. The results of all three were similar. There is no question in my mind an internal medicine specialist is well qualified to do a nuclear stress test.
Avatar m tn Maybe I should have not asked for the Stress Test and listened to my Doctor. He suggested we either redo the test or refer to a Cardiologist at teaching hospital As soon as I eft the office I went for a a nice 40 minute run no chest pain or shortnes of breath was noted. Should I increase my dosage of baby aspirin? do you think they will recommend another cardiolite test or angiogram? I think I might have to wait a while for the appoinment. What's your impression or guess?
Avatar m tn m not sure that is in keeping with a DO training...you may wish to ask). A stress test may be to assess your cardiovascular system under chemically induced stress and whether or not that triggers arrhythmia. Osteopathic medicine is dedicated to treating and healing the patient as a whole, rather than focusing on one system or body part.
Avatar n tn I had an echo stress test where the treadmill speed and incline followed standard Bruce protocol, but each stage lasted only 2 minutes instead of 3. The person who administered the test seemed very knowledgeable, so I assume the shortened stages were intentional. Are the results as valid as they would have been with standard 3 minute stages? I completed stage 4 and was told everything looked good.
Avatar n tn Over the last 2 months I have had occassional chest pain with increased shortness of breath and decreased exercise tolerance. I recently had a nuclear stress test and echocardiagram. The stress test result was normal. I was only on the treadmill for 3 minutes. At the start my heart rate was 80 and regular, at the 1 minute mark it was 140 at the 2 minute mark 180. No chest pain only extreme shortness of breath during the test.
Avatar f tn The doctor said the ekg and echo looked good, but that the stress test was positive and I need a thallium stress test now. My cholestrol and triglycerides are great. During the stress test, I had a minor chest pain, and am wondering if that is why he wants a thallium stress test now. I really don't want to be exposed to radiation. Can the incline training bring on a heart problem?
Avatar n tn However if the stress is due to other circumstances. You need to learn how to deal with your stress. Hitting, kicking, slapping or yelling is not the way to deal with. It seems that you have reached a point where you are aware of what you are doing is wrong which is the first step towards change. To suggest a few things as what to do with stress is... take up a sport. Try Kick-Boxing, Tae-Bo, Pump... if that is not for you and you are seeking some more modest form of sports...
Avatar n tn Hello, I am a 33 yr old male who was diagnosed with exercise-induced hypertension after a stress test in 2008. I haven't had a test since then but was curious on whether this is something that will prevent me from doing certain activities, such as training for an Ironman distance race. Thank you!
Avatar n tn I am going through the potty training and my daughter is exactly the same,it is as if they are afraid of it aint it,dont pressure her i aint and i think as long as she has the idea in her head and is shown they will eventually do it,my two others would never use the potty either straight to the toilet when they were ready.
Avatar n tn I have been training for my first half marathon and have increased my weekly mileage but 10 miles from my normal routine and have been running outside instead of the tread. As I started training I have noticed a little foot pain on the bottom of foot which was just caused a little soreness however as I completed my longest run of 12 miles on Saturday and the next day I couldn't put pressure on my foot without it hurting nor could I manage to walk for a standard period of time.
Avatar f tn Another girl was being trained there but had to be moved off it as she is also pregnant and couldnt manage the stress and ebded up being out sick a lot. I mean what the hell? Im 25wks today. Have they not learned their lesson with another pregnant person? Im not going putting myself or baby through that stress. Work is hard enough. Should I go to them and say Im not doing it before they put plans in place or what? Grrrr angry momma right here!!
Avatar n tn (Training for a half marathon). Is this similar to what they can find on a stress test? (Without dye)? I had a stress test a few years ago without the dye and everything was normal. I ran on a treadmill but for a very short time compared to my 13 mile run. Was just curious to see if they were similar.
1308863 tn?1273480287 Potty training is difficult. My daughter who is almost 5 was too easy. She actually did most of the work herself. Literally, she woke up one day and decided she would not wear diapers anymore and asked to use the toilet everytime. She was about 2 1/2 at the time and seriously we have had maybe 2 accidents. My son, who is now 3 1/2, is a complete different story. We have been working with him for a year now....and what I have gathered, is that if he wants to, he will...
Avatar f tn I recently had a cardiopulmonary stress test done, and I'm having a hard time interpreting the chart/summary. Is it ever okay to have a drop in blood pressure with an increase in speed/grade?
Avatar m tn ve have several test over six month period to determine the health of my heart, several Echocardiograms, a Nuclear Stress Gated Spect, and an MRI. The MRI and Nuclear Stress Gated Spect, showed an ejection fraction of 59%. My Echocardio has varied between a low of 45 and, 51, & high of 56. Which of these test is most accurate? Should I consider a MUGA, as I've heard this is the most sensative non-invasive test.
Avatar n tn I went to doctor today and ECG said normal sinus rhythm, inferior infarction age undetermined and abnormal ECG. They did a nuclear stress test and sent me home. My dr. told me everything looked fine and she would call me with results tomorrow. She is trying to tell me it is asthma (no breathing issues what-so-ever) I dont want to seem like a hypochondriac but if my heart is fine.

Avatar f tn In a low risk pregnancy a non stress test or stress test would only be warranted if their was a concern. However diabetics (both gestational and non) have a higher rate of stillborn babies (still rare, but better to be safe) so its common practice to keep a closer eye as the pregnancy nears the end.
