Sneezing out brain

Common Questions and Answers about Sneezing out brain

sneeze

2083688 tn?1334605261 can send bacteria or a virus into your brain. Your brain is heavily protected from outside invaders and it takes them coming in from the bloodstream to affect your brain. When you hold a sneeze your larynx closes cutting off the air flow to your nose/sinuses causing the sneeze. This would cause your diaphragm and stomach to "jump". Sneezes are not mainly caused by infection of the nose. They're from dust, pollen, and other general irritants we encounter through our day.
425312 tn?1279969779 I was wondering, if through my sneezing, could the methadone get out of my body that way? sounds like a stupid question, but I sneezed a million times yesterday and woke up doing it. Day 20 though and proud of myself.....how are you Feohmoon?
645800 tn?1466864555 I've been having a problem with sneezing for quite a while now. I'll have fits where I'll constantly sneeze for 15 - 20 minutes at a time. The sneezing fits happen for no apparent reason and throughout the year and almost daily. Nothing that I have tried seems to help at all. My doctors have also tried various things to help with this (Nasal sprays, allergy medications, etc.).
Avatar f tn It doesn't matter what season it is i still sneeze multiple times in a roll. I was just curious about if sneezing effect the brain since i have heard if you hold in a sneeze it can kill brain cells.
Avatar n tn Recently, I visited a neurologist, he advised me getting Brain MRI. He said this could be due to leakage of some droplets from the brain. He asked, if I ever felt the dripping sensation from brain to throat or nose. My answer was big 'NO'. I never had any such sensation. I am just irritated by the persistent sneezing sensation and do not have any other problem to be associated with this. The neurologist said that there may be minute leakage and thus I do not feel dripping sensation.
Avatar n tn HI....well your doing really well sleeping for 12 days out ...as for the sneezing it just part of the withdrawal it lasted around 3 weeks for me if i remember right hows your energy?? anyway good to see you posting keep us up to date......
Avatar f tn Chalk us up to the "sneezing akita" also! My akita (purebred) ALWAYS sneezes when he's "happy" or excited. He only does it when he's up close to us getting rubbed. He's done it all his life. Thank goodness it's not "wet" sneezes! It's doesn't bother us (other than we don't know what causes it) and he doesn't seem to have any negative affects from it. So... "shower" us with love!
Avatar m tn Now that I am pregnant again, I have no headaches, but only a pain when I sneeze in that same area. No other symptoms. I have been sneezing a lot more lately.. as in allergies or something. Is this sinus or pregnancy related or something I need to see a doctor for? Thanks!
Avatar f tn Hello All Question: I am 6wks preg ( 3rd after 2 mc ). I am constantly sneezing and my nose is so stuffy i need to invest in a tissue company, i am blowing my nose like every 5 min. I know it's not a cold because i have no aches and no cough or sore throuhgt. I looked on line, but nothing to say these were signs of pregnancy. Also, my boobs are killing me, like i can't wait to take off the bra after all day. When should i notice a change in size.
Avatar n tn Now neither trouble me very badly, antihistamine can sort it out. But like all of you I suffer from horrid sneezing episodes. Last time it happened I sneezed so hard that I pulled a muscle in my abdomen. It sounds funny now, but at the time (and while still sneezing) it was unbearable! I wish there was an explanation out there.
572651 tn?1531002957 Ok, I already know that our brain does not feel pain... but I get these pains that I can't quite explain. I haven't talked to my doctor about them yet, but will the next time I am in. The pain comes and goes without provocation or warning in my skull/skin covering my skull/head. It is not a headache in the traditional sense because it doesn't last long and I don't need to take an analgesic to stop the pain. It resolves on its own.
Avatar n tn If one thinks about sneezing then the automatic, brain controlled sneezing relex is interrupted. It's like inhibiting any reflex by being self conscious about it. I am a 57 year old man in excellent health. Every sufferer I've heard of who has this very rare sneezing problem seems to be in good health with no related medical problems discovered after evaluation and testing by every type of Doctor. Almost no one seems to know about this very rare malady.
Avatar m tn I'm still sneezing too! It's soooo annoying when you are out some place and people look at you like a walking germ..lol. Mine get worse if I'm feeling stressed (which seems like all the time), but I had one day a few days ago that I only sneezed a few times. I sneeze exactly two times in a row every time! I hope to hear about more people who have finally gotten through it.
598514 tn?1285753194 Even typing this a part of my brain is screaming SHUT UP! Back in early June we took a trip and I used 70 norc's in a 2 day period. I was shocked when the bottle was empty and I could'nt remember a gosh darn thing about the trip. So I decided to go "cold turkey" even with a script waiting for me at walgreens. I made it 4 days. While trying to keep busy and my mind off of the craving I went mountain biking and shattered my colar bone.
682891 tn?1226696230 Wow, that is strange. Then I would say try to control the sneezing. Do you have allergies? Maybe get that checked out.
Avatar f tn I am suffering from what I believe are "brain zaps". Some times it feels like my brain is being zapped and at other times my vision reminds me of when you tried to adjust the horizontal and vertical on the old black and white tv's where the screen would just flip. My vision becomes distorted. We thought it may be blood pressure but this was ruled out. I do not drink, smoke or use drugs.
Avatar n tn Trying to figure if problems ae heart? Brain? or both? It first began with me hearing my pulses in my ear. I lost alot of weight and my MD says the auditory nerve is very close to cartoid artery so it picks up pulses. Sometimes pulses are stronger and annoying. I'm 68 yr male, have had all blood work all ok. No procedure to remove this sound but there are other occurrances...sometimes, heart will begin to beat at double its rate and last for hours, even if I am sitting and relaxing.
Avatar m tn However, that has died down in the past few years, as my overactive brain seemed to calm down as I gained confidence. This all took a turn during my freshman year in college, when I met this girl that I began talking to. I've dated girls before, but this was different and everything I ever wanted, if I could even know what I truly want at the age of 19. Long story short, things went south and we stopped our relationship.
Avatar m tn Hi. From what you have described, it seems that this problem is mostly stress or anxiety related, as these could really heighten our perception of pain and fatigue. Adequate rest and recreation can help in easing these symptoms. Another possibility is migraine, which can be treated with standard medications as well as lifestyle changes/ modifications (like lowering stress levels).
Avatar n tn I' am a 28 year old male very active with exercise, sports, and eat very well. I have no history with brain tumors in my family, both sides. I have pretty bad allergies though, post nasal drip, constant plugged up nose, sneezing, sometimes watery eyes, etc.. Back in early February 2010 I had some slight tingly, low grade pins and needles in left foot and left hand. Also it sometimes went into my right foot just a little bit.
Avatar n tn For the past several years, I have had a consistent, weird health problem with my brain and ejaculation and things like that. I have had much difficulty getting help for it, because it is sometimes difficult for me to keep track of and express my symptoms to doctors, who often end up do not believing me because of it. And there is no visible external effects that can be easily seen.
Avatar n tn Her pediatricians and grandfather(internal medicine)have seen these episodes and agree it is true sneezing but have never seen them last so long. She saw an ENT who never observed the sneezing but found her tonsils so swollen that they were removed immediately(March 1997), she did not have any more episodes until 3 days ago.
Avatar n tn Not that I was hallucinating but that my mind was sending out signals. He promised he smelled no odor on me during the day and yet a lot of sneezing and scratching. Even from the car in the parking lot with the windows up it was about 30% of people. We circled it 5-7 times. Mostly scratching the neck and face. On a side note maybe not related. Wi-fi and I have never got along. It never works as well for me as for others .
Avatar m tn Sudden drop in blood pressure or dehydration may also inhibit blood to the brain causing dizziness..Diseases of inner ear may also cause dizziness, you should rule out these causes .
Avatar f tn So, I went to my chiropractor and acupuncturists on a regular basis and started working out doing HIIT 5 days a week. I've strengthened m6 muscles around my spine and my core is rock solid and i noticed that I no longer take myoxy/percs for pain any longer. I take to keep the wds at bay so I'm at the next and final step, quiting this crap. I'm scared but also relieved. My question, has anyone been able to keep working out during wds?
Avatar f tn My MRI shows what I think is a syrinx, still waiting for my appointment next month to find out for sure, but it would make sense & I wouldn't be surprised at all if it is a syrinx. I've noticed more pain, popping, & crunchy noises lately, too down in my tspine & lspine....just more questions to write on my list....
Avatar f tn I threw them out!! But some days I do crave them and feel very weak! But they were running MY LIFE!! My moods were(and are yet)so weird and never stable from those PILLS!! getting over an addiction takes work and willpower! I DO NOT WANT TO BE A PILL HEAD ANYMORE!!! So I just quit taking the pills and use ibuprophen and muscle relaxer for my hernia pain. I saw a sugeon who saw my genuine desire to be pill free, and he said"let's fix that hernia!
Avatar m tn Other symptoms include cant concentrate, poor memory and finding hard to speak properly at times which I believed is called brain fog.The most weird part of the symptoms is that I experience twitching/throbbing/spasm/tingling feeling all over my body although they are painless. No fainting,no blur vision and no vomitting. Now there is no specific area where there is pain and somehow i dont feel "sick".I feel extremely tired, unbalanced and cant concentrate.
