Avatar f tn I am on day 19 now and am feeling loads better than i was. The sweating has stopped and I just feel tingly and a bit poisoned under my skin but definitely an improvement. Fingers crossed it'll carry on settling down and help with my PMDD too! I do consult with a homeopath and have some calming remedies that have helped me and she thinks I am making good progress.
Monkey Depo Provera injections could cause sweating and/or hot flashes. Hot flashes are actually not uncommon at all, occurring 1-5% of time according to information from the manufacturer, -Dr.
Avatar m tn s the better choice for now) and she told me to take sertraline for a month to see If I get the wanted improvement. That was some time ago, I didn't take the sertraline then because I felt kind of scared about it because I read it is an antidepresive and I'm not depressive. Later I talked about it with a couple psychiatrists on the internet and my psychiatrist, they all told me not to be scared about it, they told me it was just to help something related to serotonin.

Avatar m tn I'm a 30yr old male. I was on Sertraline approx 10 years ago for depression and it seemed to work until a crash. For one reason or another over the years, my treatment has changed several times. It is 2011 and i have found my way back to sertraline. I am currently taking 10mg of buspirone 2x day and 15mg of mirtazapine for major depression and generalized anxiety. I have been feeling constantly tired, apathetic and despondent.
Avatar m tn I have taken sertraline on and off for years with good results, however, we all react differently to medications like these. I tend to notice side effects whenever my dosage is adjusted by my prescribing doctor or when I initially start it or taper off of it. I believe that experiencing side effects are two fold with me.
Avatar f tn Typically it is started at a lower dose of 25mgs and worked up. I have been on it for years and never had those side effects. I had a bit of termors and increased anxiety while I adjusted to the medications but not anything like you said here. Were you anxious about taking the medication to begin with?
Avatar f tn Hello everyone, three months ago I started with pgad, which is a condition that you feel unwanted sexual arousal, it is horrible, I couldn't even sleep, at some moments It goes away and others it will return. I went to more than 12 different doctors, anyone knew what was happening. I have ocd, this year is going to be my 5th year with ocd and with anxiety, with despersonalization and irreality.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking sertraline for mood swings and have been taking it for about 5 years. I also have recently been put on topamax for migraines. I have read about all this wonderful weight loss. If anything I have gained. Could these 2 medicines together be holding me back from losing> I would like to go off of the sertraline.
Avatar n tn I have increased sweating and the odor is worse than usual, very heightened anxiety with more intense OCD symptoms, and a recurring headache (comes and goes) and just generally feeling jittery. Yesterday I had to come home early from work due to an episode. My question is, even at this sudden high dose of Sertraline, are these side effects common? Mostly I'm concerned about the spike in anxiety & OCD. Any input appreciated.
Avatar m tn Last year I had depression for which I was prescribed Sertraline, Amisulpride, Venlafaxine, and Clonazepam. Now all other drugs are stopped except Sertraline and Clonazepam. I am tapering clonazepam. Problem Throbbing in the right half of head and palpitations for which I am talking propanol 20mg TDS for last 2 months. Sometimes associated with sweating, hot flushes. There is no vomiting, though sometimes I get a headache. Palpitations are more at bed time or whenever I try to take rest.

Avatar n tn I am on 25mg sertraline, day 8 for anxiety and panic attacks - so far only really feeling the side effects and no real relief yet but am very hopeful given all the positive comments I've read online - if I can just last until it starts to kick in. Also hoping that I won't require a higher dosage.
2190999 tn?1504988891 I know Celexa, lexapro and Sertraline both gave me night sweats. They are all selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Effexor is an SNRI, serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. I think since they both inhibit serotonin, that most likely is the reason you're sweating. The effect for me didn't lessen with time, it was every night for as long as I took them.
Avatar n tn I've been on medication for anxiety and depression most of my adult life - I'm 70, so that's a long time. Most of that time I've been fine. Last summer, the meds I'd been on for 3 yrs (citalopram) stopped working. By the time I realised that's what was happening, I was a mess - anxiety sky-high, depression the worst it's ever been. The GP put me on sertraline, which took 2 months to kick in, and referred me to a psychiatrist.
Avatar f tn It is a good fit. I ended up in a psych ward for 3 days because I ate a bottle of Prozac and everything else made me feel dead inside. I remember wanting to cry and my eyes actually hurting from trying and I couldn't. It sucked and I hate that people have to go through these feelings By the way, we are neighbors. I'm in Surfside!
504535 tn?1210527032 I have been experiencing abnormal symptoms the past few weeks and I want to know whether or not I should worry about the worst possible scenario, cancer.
Avatar f tn Now in 2012 I stopped the one I was on at the time (Effexor) and switched quickly to sertraline because I was diagnosed with heart failure (due to chemo that damaged my heart at age ten) and SNRIs apparently are cardiotoxic. But as you can imagine the Sertraline wasn't working and I did a bit of research (doctors of heart duno much about antidepressants and vice versa so don't like to give advice on what they don't know!
2052200 tn?1332429084 Hey all, I have a bit of a dilemma at the moment. I did something silly a couple of weeks ago - I overdosed on Zoloft. A couple of days later I started to experience vivid hallucinations and was quite worried.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone. About 2 weeks ago my medication of Levothyroxine and Sertraline was increased to Levothyroxine 100 micro grams and Sertraline 50mg. About a week after starting these I got a positive pregnancy test (I took about 3 tests just to make sure lol). I have a midwife appointment tomorrow but my symptoms have been bare to none (Only cramping, tiredness and on/off headaches). I was wondering if any of these medications can effect a pregnancy test?
Avatar f tn My GP won’t listen to me and says there’s nothing wrong with me and that I probably just have excessive sweating and has referred me to a skin specialist, but I know that the way I’m feeling isn’t a skin problem, I feel like I can’t leave my bed I’m so weak and cold and constantly soaked through with sweat
Avatar m tn t do at all, my mind keep reminding me that I must do it and I cannot sleep as well. sometimes, very wired tiredness is inside me and I was sweating under Aircon. last year, I went to psychiatrist and he prescribed me Zosert 25 mg for 6 months and Alprozolam for sometimes incase necessary. Avatar f tn Hello, I have recently started taking Zoloft for about 6 weeks now and I've had insomnia. But when I take it in the morning I feel sluggish for at least a couple hours and feel Ike I need a nap. I'm only on 25mg now but my doc said I may need to up my dose for full effect. She also prescribed lunesta which did help me fall asleep but I only sleep for like 3/4 hours then I can't go back to sleep! Which also makes me tired. She suggested splitting the dose.
Avatar f tn I might be pregnant and my psychiatrist told me not to worry about the embryo. He told me that even while I'm taking 15 mg of Aripiprazole and 50 mg of Sertraline daily, there is no danger. I'm really worried. if I'm pregnant, would these doses harm my embryo being taken daily?
