410475 tn?1262942367 I did a quick check on medhelp on Zoloft and sweating, and found this post: "I've been on zoloft for 2yrs. just uped to 200mlg. and the night sweats have gottensooo bad. is there any chance they will go away?" by Hensley258 [This user is a Community Leader for this forum] Nashville - Apr 19, 2008 11:39PM To: jjaberwaky I'm right there with you. Many of these AD meds can cause excessive sweating.
Avatar f tn I have had excessive head sweating for the past 2 years,i am post menopause and very active.I do not feel comfortble enough anymore to enjoy life no one wants to hug a sweathog!!I take zoloft for panic attacks and vasotech 5mg daily for bp which has never been over 140/80 but Dr. said it was time to watch it.I may be 15lbs overweight but i could sweat that off tonight. I was a chronic prescribed diet pill user[tenuate] but stopped three years ago with no problem.
Avatar n tn I looked up Zoloft in my PDR and all of your symptoms except sweating are listed as possible side effects. You'll have to decide if Zoloft is good enough that you can put up with the sweating. If not, I would ask to be switched to another antidepressant. If the sweating is still there after the change then something else is causing it.
Avatar n tn Hi there. Well, Zoloft does seem to have some sweating associated with it. Doesn't happen to everyone but who cares if it is happening ot you, right? How long have you been taking it? Are you at a stable dose yet? How are you feeling in terms of anxiety/depression? These are important questions as it is often a trade off to treat these major concerns and then sometimes put up with side effects that are a pain but not serious.
Avatar f tn Celexa does, but when I started to take it I had that problem for about 4 to 5 weeks. Has not happened again. I started taking them early summer so I went though very hot weather.
1379090 tn?1279032110 I take wellbutrin and recently stopped zoloft. My psych told me that wellbutrin increases sweating. I have horrible night sweats and start sweating at the drop of a hat during the day. And I'm only 25 so it has to be the medication. It's so bad that I've considered getting off the wellbutrin as well. I'd rather be deppresed than soaked with sweat all day!
Avatar m tn I took only 1 weeks worth of Zoloft before my pyschiatrist and I agreed it didn't agree with me. While on it, I suffered from extreme sweating and insomnia. I have been off of it now for 4 days, and I still am experiencing sweating, insomnia, as well as jittery-ness and restless legs. Can these symptoms be a by-product of withdrawal and still have trace amounts of the Zoloft in my system? Can I expect these to go away in another day or two?
Avatar m tn I just had a follow up with my psych doc and asked her about the hot feeling and sweating and she said it definitely can be from the Zoloft and also from excess underlying anxiety.
Avatar m tn Is it normal still to get night sweats, I am not waking up in panic because of the drugs I take at bedtime, but I am still sweating. When I do wake up I can tell I have been sweating. Some nights are very mild some are bad. It also may be due to the thick blanket on the bed as well.
Avatar f tn I'm currently taking zoloft at a dose of 200mg daily, in the morning. My doctor's instructions were to go all the way up to the maximum dose of zoloft because he believes that my combination of depression, anxiety, PTSD and bulimia might simply be treatment resistant. I've been on zoloft twice before, but never at a dose any higher than 150mg. I've been on the 200mg dose of zoloft for five weeks now, and though I had initial side effects they did go away.
Avatar m tn I find myself like going through the change of life, night sweating (with Zoloft, too), fussy, having trouble getting directed in everyday activities. Will these symptoms last long? I really do not want to go back on Zoloft. (I was on Lexapor several years ago and my medician was changed because of irritibility at one person.) If this was the medicine I think it would be more generalized than specific. Hope to hear from you soon. I am a 66 year old female.
Avatar n tn if a person takes wellbutrin and zoloft and is doing well other than insomnia, can trazadone be added to the wellbutrin and zoloft to improve sleep?
Avatar m tn Hi, I've been taking Zoloft 100mg for OCD for the last 4 weeks, my dr increased me to 150mg. Is it normal to have nervousness and increased sweating and headache when increasing dosage? I was feeling good on 100 mg and side effects were subsiding. How long will it take to adjust to 150? I also was just put on 10mg of lisiniprol for high blood pressure. And I'm taking gabapentin for insomnia from the Zoloft. I really appreciated any advice!
10379139 tn?1409706165 My father killed himself when I was 2 so my thinking process from the wellbutrin is scaring me. I still have some Zoloft. Should I stop the wellbutrin and restart Zoloft immediately? This is such a terrible feeling. Anyone ever have this problem with wellbutrin?
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm a 15 year old girl who has been taking up to 100 mg of Zoloft for anxiety/panic for a month or so. Recently we decided to go off of it because I thought it was what was causing me to have unwanted thoughts. I was prescribed Prozac, which I had taken before (I wasn't very consistent with it though) and so I have been taking less of the Zoloft and more of the Prozac. Every four days, I take 25 less of the Zoloft and I am slowly going up to at least 10 mL of Prozac.
Avatar n tn If mixed with these, Zoloft can cause serotonin syndrome. This includes fever, sweating, muscle stiffness, trouble thinking clearly, a change in mental functioning, sleepiness, or change in your breathing, heartbeat and blood pressure disorder. If this is the case, you should stop taking Zoloft and speak to your Doctor. I can never emphasise enough, always insist medication comes with a leaflet which states possible side effects.
Avatar m tn It increases the concentration of zoloft and causes serotonin syndrome which can manifest as sweating, tremors etc. I would advice you to consult allergy specialist to discuss about this alternatives. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn profuse sweating, hot and tingling hands and feet. I thought the Zoloft would control this. Has anyone experienced anxiety while on Zoloft? Should it happen? Thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn Zoloft (sertraline),, Celexa (Citalopram), and Lexapro (Escitalopram). Stay away from Paxil (Paroxetine) as that treatment has as much or more sweating than Prozac. Hope this helps...
1131131 tn?1275108488 Hi, I recently was sent to the ER by my physican due to a reaction I was having from my celexa. I was having extreme anxiety, high blood pressure, sweating, tremors, shaking, etc. They had me stop the celexa. My doctor had me start Zoloft. I have been on it for six days and some of the same symptoms are starting again plus muscle tightness in the chest and throat. She told me to stop the zoloft. I asked if I should titrate it, but I was told to just stop it.
Avatar m tn I have been on 50mg of zoloft for 15 years. I am 54 years old and my weight is at an all time high and I think the drug has stedily added to this for years. I am trying to waen myself off of the drug by myself but I think I need some help. I am down to 25mg every other day.I am feeling some dizziness, numbness in my face, extreme tiredness and very teary though not all at the same time.
Avatar m tn i feel a sivier burning sensation on my skin (in between neck and navel area) followed by excessive sweating. all this time i feel like i want to run in to a near by ac or fan. i went many type of doctors and they where unable to find the problem. Please advise me.
Avatar f tn The primary doctor said i have virual virus do to allergies, so i saw my doctor who precribed me the Zoloft he said not take zoloft for two weeks until i get better from this virual virus then try the zoloft again if you have reaction to it stop the zoloft then wait a week and try different medicine called citalpram 20mm. i am so sacred to taking any medicine because i am so sentitive to medicine anyway.
2120085 tn?1344765910 For depression and anxiety and suicidal thoughts. apparently it markets as zoloft ? I think i have seen it mentioned here... Has anyone taken these? I was reading side effects and now i am apprehensive Haha!
Avatar m tn I am not taking any meds but might explore using some antidepressants like Zoloft of Lexipro. I have also had some of the other sypmtoms of anxiety including rubbery legs, nervousness, sweating, face muscles feeling tight. I don't believe I have any organic issues as I have had some screening (MRI of brain, blood work) that did not indicate any issues. Any advice on how to possibly reverse this situatuion would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn So I found a good therapist and a phyciatrist and got Zoloft and Ativan. I have had Zoloft for yrs,but I started tapering it down and then skipping doses. Then I started having withdrawals, and that was horrible. Needless to say I won't do that again.
Avatar f tn Yesterday I started my Zoloft, starting at 50mg. Within a couple hours I was shaky, which sucked since I was at work. Later that day I started to have a bit of chest pain. Once I was able to relax it went away. Later I woke up at 5am and found it a bit hard to breathe, kind of like I couldn't catch my breath. Do these symptoms sound familiar to any other Zoloft users? Do these feelings go away?
