Unfortunately from the time that Tygr was first noticed being in distress & passing away was only 2 & 1/2 hours @ midnight PST. When he went there was quite a lot fluid coughed out (explosively) from his lungs so we are suspecting that he must have been poisoned and will be trying to get an autopsy on the 2nd as we have another cat that we don't want to lose too.
Hi, I was on vacation a couple of weeks ago in the Dominican Republic with my family, my mother got a bad case of food poisoning, she threw up once, and was having stomach pains and nausea for like 5 days. on the day we were supposed to leave she felt lightheaded and blacked out all of sudden and hit her head and had a seizure for a few seconds.
I think your vet is doing the right things, although a true diagnosis is important. He could be right about the poisoning. Obviously, poisoning can be difficult to assess, particularly if you are not able to supervise your dog 24hrs a day. It is certainly worth considering what your dog is eating (even pet food can become toxic to some dogs), treats given, and any chemicals used in the home or garden, as well as what friends, neighbours and children may be using/giving.

The symptoms, especially numbness and tingling can be due to a mini stroke or transient ischemic attack, compression of spinal nerves, Vit B12 deficiency, vitamin D deficiency, low testosterone, anemia, lupus and other autoimmune disorders, heavy metal poisoning, vaso-vagal attack, multiple sclerosis, hypothyroidism, diabetes and panic attack.
I have a friend who had a random seizure one morning after she had been vomiting and had diarrhea all night before. She also had not been sleeping well or at all some nights the whole month before. Hello, sorry if my English is not good. My cat has been going through seizure recently. It usually last for about 1 minute. A few months ago, it happens 1 time per 3 week, then 1 time per 5 week. This month it happen every week. I am in Vietnam and I has brought him to the Vet. He is about 2.5 years old, 3.5kg male. He has been neutered, but he still have one testical inside him according to the doc.

Yesterday we (me and my girlfriend) went out for a few hours, and we found one of my four dogs(He is a collie and sheltie mix), locked in our bedroom. We are not sure how he got in their, but he was crying. He went through all the garbage, and later that night he had a seizure. Ever since my Neurologist started taking me off my anti seizure meds, I've started getting these brain spasms, I guess you could call them that anyways. They only happen on days I'm not on my meds. For example, last week when I tried not to take my meds for the first time, I had a really bad brain spasm where my entire brain kinda froze, and my body jolted and I dropped everything I was holding. I had many more of those and had to go home from school.

I have hyperthyroidism and have had it for 23 years and I'm 38. I have been on every dose of Synthroid and my TSH was 66 on 300mcg. I am now taking 5 1grain Armour Thyroid pills a day. This year I have had sun poisoning three times and have had sunscreen on. I'm super sensitive for some reason this year. I also have dark skin spots on my face. Getting annoyed. Has anyone else had these problems??

came through good, she was resting and she ultimately had a seizure in my arms and died. later we found out they used iodine for the presecure. my mother was allergic to iodine, she also died in her 30's, when given iodine. she has never had a seizure in her life. her breathing was just cut off from what i could see, it was if she was being smothered, we order an autopsy and are awaiting the results, did iodine poisoning kill my mother????? i believe it did.

I don't think people who have a seizure remember the seizure, but he definitely had something. Maybe it's a thyroid problem. He needs to be seen, but an ER is the slowest, most expensive and least efficient way to do it.
sounds like sun poisoning or heatstroke. antihistamines wont do much. drink plenty of fluids, take a cold shower even though you're shivering, and stay out of the sun and heat. if it gets worse or doesn't go away in a day go to your doctor immediately sun poisoning can be very dangerous.
