Vitamin B6 toxicity causes temporary neurological symptoms, which, according to the literature, usually take up to 6 months for it to resolve itself for majority of people. There are some people who do have permanent damage.
Hi,I have a question about this medication used for seizures and other things,,,,,,,,,,i amon 250 mg depakote er at night for mood control and gaba diffency i misssed my dose last night and wonder if i might have a seizure i have no seizure disorder and have never had a seizure but someone told me that if u miss a dose u might have aseixure i have been on this med for only 8 days,,,,,i have very bad anxiety and some depression and it seems like this medications takes away all my emotions any
Estrogen reportedly increases your need for B6, which seems counterintuitive, since I had more B6 toxicity with higher levels of estrogen. Perhaps estrogen causes B6 to store more readily in the muscle? I have no idea, but there IS an effect, somehow. Also, during my B6 toxicity recovery, things were always much worse before my period. Again, that makes very little sense to me, since that is supposedly a low estrogen time.
Vitamin B6 is found naturally in our foods, however, B6 supplements are the main reason for toxicity of vitamin B6. Long term (2+ years) supplementation of 500-5,000mg/day will result in medical issues, such as neuropathy which maybe reversible with discontinuing the supplement and lowering high B6 foods. The recommended daily dose is 1.3mg for men & women ages 19-50 and 1.7 for men >50 years old.
The medication is very beneficial, but I am worried about long term damage and was wondering if adderall causes or can cause glutamate toxicity within the motor cells. I know muscle twitching is usually benign, but I am concerned about the effects adderall has on motor neuron activity possible MND. I know this is kind of an off the wall question, but I would really appreciate any input you or your colleagues have on this issue and if I should continue taking adderall?
Partner had a stroke april 21 but only this last 6mths she has had 1/2 episodes where she has gone to laugh and had one i would describe as a seizure - she stares and goes red as though struggling to breath then 10ish secs later she is absolutely fine- anyone else had similar
Ever since my Neurologist started taking me off my anti seizure meds, I've started getting these brain spasms, I guess you could call them that anyways. They only happen on days I'm not on my meds. For example, last week when I tried not to take my meds for the first time, I had a really bad brain spasm where my entire brain kinda froze, and my body jolted and I dropped everything I was holding. I had many more of those and had to go home from school.

Don't worry, you're confusing lead in things like paint and other environmental pollutants, with the supplement. Constipation and other digestive problem are very common with taking supplemental iron. Taking too much for a long period of time is also associated with increased risk of heart disease, especially in men. As for your underlying concern, being a vegetarian should make it easier for you to get iron, not harder.
i had a grandmal seizure within 2 weeks of taking the generics. my neuro said the generic dident have every thing the name brand has. i cant take generics only name brand. my level was so low on the generics . i honestly believe the generics are useless. i do take 400mg dilantin every nite before bedtime and have for about 5yrs.
I thought I was going to come out of my skin! The back of my neck was on fire! I think I had a a seizure because my lips wouldn't stop quivering. My heart was racing and I was having double audio. My jaw was Clenched tight. D I was afraid if I went to sleep I'd die.. This was Monday afternoon evening. I went to work fine yesterday expecting the worse. I had no focus at all. Just didn't want to work. When I got home I started having small halutinatioms.
I don't think people who have a seizure remember the seizure, but he definitely had something. Maybe it's a thyroid problem. He needs to be seen, but an ER is the slowest, most expensive and least efficient way to do it.
