Avatar f tn * Surgery to remove the liver hemangioma. If the hemangioma can be easily separated from the liver, your doctor may recommend surgery to remove the mass. * Surgery to remove part of the liver, including the hemangioma. In some cases, surgeons may need to remove a portion of your liver along with the hemangioma. * Procedures to stop blood flow to the hemangioma. Your surgeon may recommend stopping blood flow through the main artery to the hemangioma.
Avatar f tn Just wondering if anyone has a baby with a nose hemangioma? My DD was born a month ago with a small mark on her nose tip. More alarmingly, though, was the shape of her nose- the nose tip looks like a huge bulb, which sounds like a compound hemangioma (my older DD also has hemangiomas, so I know by the look that this is probably what my younger DD has). Is there anyone out there with experience with a nose tip hemangioma? Did you get it lasered? At what age does it get worse?
Avatar n tn I have liver hemangioma since 2004. Hemangioma are benign and congenital. I underwent liver embolization procedure last September 2008. Interventional Radiologist did the procedure. It blocked the veins direct to the tumor. I had 2 ultrasound guided liver biopsy also and it was all benign. Pain will always be a part of our daily lives if we did'nt take care of ourselves. We must have our excersice like walking and eat non fatty foods.
19070278 tn?1471892750 I was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver in July of 2014, at that time, I had a hemangioma on my liver that has experienced some growth as shown in an ultrasound May 2016. Per the same ultrasound, another hemangioma has since developed. I am to have a CT this Thursday so the doctor can have a better view of the hemangiomas. The last biopsy I had was when I was first diagnosed. I can't seem to find any information about multiple hemangiomas on a diseased liver.
Avatar m tn m not saying the guy is a quack, but is that how hepatic hemangioma sizes are measured? if yes, do I have a giant hemangioma? I can scan and send over the image if an expert can be of help.
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried PROPRANOLOL for prevention of Migraines? I have struggled with headaches almost every day & Migraines aprox every 7-10 days for the last 10 years. Feverfew has helped but they now seem to be getting worst so I was thinking of asking my GP if I could try Propranolol.
4155003 tn?1351614311 ive bin on propranolol for about 12weeks & weaned myself down to 10ml every other day, i took 10ml propranolol 52hours ago & not going to take another one as im ready to stop. when will it be fully out my system?
Avatar f tn I have been given propranolol to take as I have had continuous palpitations since monday and my heartrate has randomly shooting up in the 100's (not related to posture!!) These will also help with my bp, it has been creeping up. I have had these in the past but was more recently on bisoprolol. Which is more common for POTS symptoms? I was in A&E last night and back at my GP's this morning. I have been refered back to the cardiologist who is going to see me in november.
Avatar f tn I've been taking Propranolol for high blood pressure and tachycardia(10mg at 8am, 2pm, and 8pm) for about 18 days now, and four days ago I woke up feeling quite dizzy. Since then it seemed to get better, but now I feel lethargic, dizzy, and generally unwell. Is it my drug? Note: I'm a 15-year-old male.
Avatar n tn I have a large (6.9 cm) hemangioma on the right lobe of my liver and gall bladder disease w/out gallstones (Hida scan--8% ejection fraction). It is obvious from digestive symptoms that the gall bladder needs to come out. However, I am concerned to have surgery due to the hemangioma. Is there anyone in this community who has a hemangioma and has also had gall bladder surgery? Despite my surgeon's advice that the GB can come out with no problem, I am still concerned.
Avatar n tn I just discovered this sight, and was reading your conversations about liver hemangioma. This encouraged me to write, as I was just told a couple of weeks ago that I have a Liver Hemangioma. I was having an ultrasound done on my gallbladder, because I felt the I may have had gall stones or something. Well, the ultrasound didn't detect anything wrong with that, but picked up on the hemangioma. I'm still not convinced that I don't have gallstones, as I'm still having pain.
Avatar m tn Hi there, Recently had a 7.3 cm x 4.5 cm mass found by accident on my liver in the left lobe. They did a CT scan w/out contrast looking for kidney stones, which the ER doctor thought was causing my sudden onset of extreme lower back pain, but found the mass by accident. Since then I have had an MRI, lower abdominal ultrasound, a second CT scan w/contrast and a nuclear test done.
Avatar f tn What kind of imaging did they do to discover the fatty liver and hemangioma? Do you know how large your hemangioma is? Typical, hemangiomas are left alone if they are under 5 cm and not causing you any symptoms or pain. For fatty liver, usually the doctors would want to figure out what is causing it, if not diet or alcohol related. Low fat diet and exercise are highly recommended for fatty liver, along with abstinence from alcohol.
Avatar n tn Dont you think that the liver hemangioma has something to do with the gallbladder pollyp? I want to know it because I saw the case of this 31 years old woman that had both of them. I also have them and I am really concerned about that. What do you think? This discussion is related to gallbladder polyp hemangioma of liver.
Avatar f tn I had surgery to have a Liver Hemangioma removed in 3/07. It turned out to be 35 centimeters in size. I have been feeling fine but have gained about 20 pounds, My husband thinks it might have grown back. What are the chances of a liver hemangioma returning. I did have a recheck six months after the surgery but nothing since. Any comments. T.
Avatar n tn I now have a 7cm liver hemangioma I am 5' 2", lost 15 lbs last summer due to nausea and no appetite. I weigh 104 lbs. now. What is the best way to treat this hemangioma? I read a 2004 blog that mentioned Dr. Fred Lee at the Univ. of Wisconsin using a Radiofrequency Ablation machine with three probes that removes the hemangioma (less anesthesia and less risk) versus surgery?
Avatar m tn hemangioma was only a guess by x-ray tech (see my original post above). gastro DR thought FNH, so biopsy ordered to be safe. from what i've been told and read, hemangioma is similar to spider veins an not a big problem good news.....my biopsy only shows fatty tissue. no further concerns. just need follow up CT in 6 months.
Avatar m tn doctor tell me that i got hepatic hemangioma with 0.8cm by Doppler colour. i'm 31 year old, i want to know is there any prossible Doppler colour can misdiagnose hepatic hemangioma? such as liver cancer? great thanks.
Avatar m tn Poorly defined, hypodense, left medial segment liver lesion, not typical of an hemangioma. More convincing imaging on CT and suspect atypical hemangioma in setting of fatty liver 2. Moderate fatty liver. Fatty sparing around gallbladder fossa 3.
Avatar f tn As far as the lesion, I recently had this happen. In January they found a hyperechoic lesion from ultrasound . I had a CT scan in March with contrast and a MRI last month, both saying it was benign and almost certainly a hemangioma. MRI is the best imaging at differenciating a hemangioma from other lesions. It's harder with small lesions but if you have MRI with Gadolinium contrast that should do it. Just make sure to watch lesion by alternating ultrasound and MRI for a while.
Avatar f tn An ultrasound test showed a 4.5cm hyperechoic lesion in the left lobe of my liver! I was told that most likely it is a hemangioma, but it could also be cancer?? My liver function test is normal. I am scheduled for a CT scan next week and I am freaking out now! Can a hemangioma cause the kind of gastric pain that I'm experiencing? The pain gets worse after eating. It feels like there is something in my stomach and I can't eat much.
Avatar f tn I have a follow-up MRI for a 5mm lesion that looks like hemangioma on u/s and MRI. Now, HR has already said that MRI is very good for determining hemangioma from HCC but is that still true in a lesion as small as 5mm? Thanks!
